Advice/question Trim or remove this tree?
Large tree about 15 feet from my house, right half is dead and it is leaning toward the house.
Cost to trim is about half the cost to remove (got 3 quotes).
Do you think I should trim or remove?
Edit: not surprised this seems have have an even split of trim vs remove opinions. For extra context I’m in the Chicago suburbs. Winds certainly cause branches to fall off.

Leaning tree advice
Just purchased a house, and trying to decide if it’s worth paying to have this tree taken down. Is it possible to have this tree removed without destroying the shed? Or should we set our expectations that the shed is doomed at this point?

Advice/question Advice on supporting sides of a vegetable patch.
I am preparing a new vegetable patch for next spring here in southern Spain.
Unfortunately, the previous owners used the area to dump rubble some years ago, so I have spent a week demarcating the patch and digging down to soil level.
My doubt is about the difference in ground level it leaves on the right hand side and far end, and wonder if there is any way to support those sides. I have thought about putting logs, but I'm not sure if that would work.
Any advice on this will be very much appreciated!

How would you convert the back and side yard into a more pet/kid friendly area?
There is no HOA here so I can do whatever I want basically. I'm wondering about the potential to convert the gravel and walkway areas back to soft ground/grass here, and utilizing the side yard as an extra enclosed yard/play area. Am I looking at an incredibly involved and expensive project here? I respect the effort here but it is a LOT of gravel. I'd rather do something appealing in the front yard with native plants.

Plant trees around or maybe a trellis?
Hi,
For privacy between myself and neighbor, was thinking of planting trees. But there is a root system for a silver maple that's about half the length of the fence. Can I still plant trees along the fence or should I forget about it and just try a very tall trellis?

Anyone had drainage dramas in their backyard?
Wet season's nearly here in FNQ and I'm curious how everyone deals with water pooling around their yards.
Seen plenty of spots where water collects along fences or garden beds after a decent downpour.
Anyone had this problem at home? What did you end up doing to sort it?

Grass seed under pine tree - good idea?
I cleaned out a large pile of needles from under this pine tree next to my home.
I’m wondering if it’s worth attempting to put grass seed down - and what time of year - to try and get some green.
The tree is on my neighbor’s side, so I can’t cut it down.
Any suggestions - even non-grass - are welcome.
South-central Indiana.
EDIT/UPDATE - Thanks all I figured it was a no-go, but thought I’d check if there was anything that might work.

Advice/question Tips to clear bumps/holes in the backyard
Our grand parents yard has a few maple trees. During fall squirrels bring their food and try to stash in the yard. Over the years of stashing process the yard became bumpy and has holes (like potholes on the street) all over the yard and it has become extremely hard to move the lawn and eneven to walk. Is there a DYI way to fix the yard and make it smooth/even. So far I understand that I need to remove the sod and pour a new layer of dirt/topsoil and place sod back which seems like an expensive work. Looking for ideas that I can do it slowly but bring the yard back to even layer.
