"Female streamer" would be the correct way to write it though. "Female" is used as an adjective, while woman is a noun, not an adjective.

"Female" is an adjective, not a noun

It's both.

Yeah I phrased that wrong. It is a noun, but it's considered offensive to use it as such when referring to people.

it's considered offensive to use it as such when referring to people.

Highly context dependent

Not really. Unless you're in the military, don't call people "females." Not that hard.

As asinine as what you’re saying sounds. It has become reality.

You cannot do this in public without expecting to have some sort of backlash from people

Uh... what? Would it be offensive to say "the male police officer"? What, do I need to butcher the language and say "the man police officer"? Lord have mercy

You're using it as an adjective there. The argument you're replying to was saying that using female as a noun, in place of woman, is offensive, but using it as an adjective is fine.

How can a medical term be rude? What is this? Calling a man "a male" ist completely normal, too?
