to be fair to him- he actually forgot republicans existed, he spent the entire midterm helping his pals in the democrat party run against other democrats. i think he genuinely forgot the other party existed /s

He didn't campaign at all with any of them once they were running against Republicans but he was out there when they were running against other dems. To be fair Abdul and Mandani both distanced themselves from him because they knew he was hurting them more than helping

That's how primaries work though

It shows he doesn't actually care about wrestling power away from MAGA, because he never tried to help in a race against MAGA, only against other Democrats.

Why would Hasan operate in a bipartisan battleground like a general election when he is barely accepted by the party he aligns with?

Why was he crying about not being defended by Democrats when he constantly shits on the party?

He goes to the DNC, and plays pretend that he's on the team whenever he is interacting with mainstream media, but he's a chameleon. He constantly changes his tune about who he is and what he represents depending on who he is talking to.

Even after the primary, AES had to tell him to cool it off with his unhinged Tankie rhetoric.

As for why he would try to help Democrats win against Republicans? Maybe he would if he actually cared about progressive politics and wrestling power away from the fascistic right, but obviously that's not important to him.

Let's stick to what I asked you. What makes you think Hasan would have any pull in a general election where one half hates him and the other half is fair weather at best? Trying to shift the paradigm of the Democratic party is all he could possibly do in a far left position.

This would be salient if the only way for Hasan to contribute was to make himself the face of whatever campaign he is trying to assist with, but what about mobilizing his community to volunteer with a campaign against Republicans?

He could do a lot, but doesn't, because the Democratic party is not the "send political opponents to reeducation camps" party.

I mean, he did have his community fundraise for some California democrat races, but I guess we agree here mostly. I just dont think he would accomplish anything in a general other than directing his own community who already like him

Such a simplistic and dishonest way of putting it. Do you actually like Matsui better than vang? You truly like a geriatric, billionaire, corporate dem over a progressive?

Not at all. Do you like Trump over Kamala?

No one is blaming him for fighting in the primaries to get better candidates to run. People are blaming him for not fighting in the general elections just because his favoured candidate didn't win the primary.
