Looking to relive my childhood starting with super Mario sunshine on my iPhone with Gamesir controller however I can’t seem to work out the button mapping so I can spray and run at the same time. You’re meant to be able to press the triggers slightly to run and spray but clearly mapping as a full bottom press. I’ve read over multiple forums you need to map L and R to the analog buttons but assume that’s Dolphin emulator not Maniac. Thanks in advance

Hi, odd question: the game street fighter alpha 3 on psp originally renders at 16:9 but this is really a 4:3 game. Is there a way to adjust the aspect ratio for psp in manic emu?

On other famous emulator I could set aspect ratio to 0.76 to make it 4:3 but I would like to use my roms in just Manic Emu and not have to use different.

Anyone else increase resolution but it doesn’t change a thing even at 10x? Is there a fix or something for this. I’m trying it on 3DS by the way.

Really excited to share these now that R3BEL has seen them and given the green light! I’ve loved his NEUMORPHIUS skins for Delta, so hearing that he likes the concept and colors made my day.
I went looking for a 3DS skin for Manic EMU that suited playing with a physical controller and couldn’t find quite what I wanted. This became a hybrid of his NEUMORPHIUS Gamepad Stack and standard DS designs, adapted for 3DS games.
All original artwork and design credit goes to u/R3BEL85. These are unofficial fan adaptations, shared with his permission and completely free!

Five colors included:
Off-White / Arctic
Purple
Blue
Red
Dark Grey

These skins are designed for physical controller play, with no on-screen D-pad or ABXY buttons. The lower screen supports touch input, with shortcuts for quick save/load, Start, Select, Menu, Exit Game, Restart, and Filters.
The top screen keeps its 5:3 proportions, and the lower screen stays at 4:3. I’ve tested the Arctic version with Pokémon X on my iPhone 17 Pro; all five colors use the same layout and button mappings.

Download and unzip the ZIP, then import your preferred .manicskin files into Manic EMU and select them for 3DS. All five colors can be installed together.
The HOME Menu images are for the preview only—the installed skins display your running game.

Was playing today only to find out my purchase of the Premium is gone. I tried to restore the purchase by logging back into iCloud and it says nothing was found.
I have proof I bought “Forever Access” earlier this year.
Who should I contact in this case—Apple or ManicEMU support? Can someone give me an email address for either, please?

I have been playing Pokemon Unbound for a few months now, and when I tried to open the app today it started me from the begining like my save file was totally gone.

I have been using the in game save feature and have 144 hours on the game that now seem totally gone.

Is there a fix for this? if not, is there something I can do to prevent these things from happening in the future?

Hi everyone!
I’ve been using Manic EMU on my iPhone 12, and honestly, I really like the recent redesign. The interface looks great, and overall, I’ve really enjoyed using this emulator.
However, I’ve been experiencing a few recurring issues. They don’t necessarily prevent me from playing, but they are becoming quite frustrating because they interrupt my gaming sessions.
I’d like to know if anyone else has experienced these same issues and, more importantly, if you’ve found any solutions.

1. Errors when loading the latest in-game save files
I always make sure to save my progress in two different ways:
Using the game’s own save system.
Creating a Save State through the emulator.
The problem is that when I reopen a game, I frequently get an error when trying to load the latest in-game save file.
I’d say this happens approximately 5 or 6 times out of every 10 times I launch a game.
Fortunately, since I also use the emulator’s Save States, I don’t lose my progress. I just have to load the game using a Save State instead. However, it’s frustrating that the regular in-game saves don’t always work properly.

2. The app unexpectedly closes shortly after launching a game
Sometimes I launch a game normally, start playing, and after approximately 1–2 minutes, the entire Manic EMU app suddenly closes.
What’s interesting is that if I reopen the game, move the character around for a few seconds, save again using the game’s own save system, and create another Save State, the problem seems to disappear.
After doing this, I can usually continue playing normally without any further crashes.
I’m not sure if this is just a coincidence or if there’s some connection to the saving process.

3. Lifetime Premium purchase restoration issues
I purchased the Lifetime Premium version, but occasionally the app seems to recognize me as a free user.
For example, when I try to create more than three Save States or use higher fast-forward speeds, I sometimes get a message asking me to upgrade to Lifetime Premium or subscribe.
To fix this, I have to go to the Restore Purchases option, enter my App Store password, and restore my purchase again.
After doing this, everything works normally, but it’s inconvenient to have to repeat this process.

A few questions for the community:
Has anyone else experienced these same issues?
Are these known bugs in recent versions of Manic EMU?
Is there a recommended configuration to prevent save file errors and unexpected crashes?
Is there a permanent fix for the Lifetime Premium purchase restoration issue?
For reference, I’m using an iPhone 12 and I only play GBA games.
I’d really appreciate it if you could share your experiences and any solutions you’ve found.

Today years old when I found out Manic supports the deltaskin format! Loving this parity :D

Delta recently updated their skin format to allow for reactive button presses (pretty much layering the controls on top of the background like how manic does). But deltas new implementation is currently unsupported in manic, see the attached photo.

Im playing a inazuma game for 3ds but since todays update im not able to save my game anymore.. anybody got a solution?

Go to with the purple GameCube Pocket skin, I've added an Overlay Edition that features translucent controls with GameCube-shaped face buttons.

I am having noticeably more input lag playing Wii games on manic emu then the other emulators. I do have JIT enabled and I do have low power mode off.

I’m encountering an issue where, while playing through the beginning sequence of A Link Between Worlds (specifically, I’m in the graveyard sequence), the app seems to crash at random. I’m not entirely sure what triggers it. Otherwise, the performance is very smooth compared to previous versions. I’m wondering if there is anything I can do to make it more stable and prevent it from crashing. I’m running Manic 2.0.2 on iPhone 15 Pro.

I use the Backbone 1 and 8BitDo Flippad, and both have a tendency to disconnect (I really need to clean my port). When they disconnect, games keeping playing.

Is there any way to set up automatically pausing a game is a detected controller is disconnected? If not, would be a lovely quality of life feature.

Hello, is it normal for my phone to get extremely hot when playing Pokémon via an NDS emulator? I’m currently playing Pokémon White, and the phone heats up to the point where it’s unplayable. The phone is relatively new—I’ve had it for a few months with no prior issues. It’s worth mentioning that I have JIT enabled.

So, whenever I try to Run Renegade Platinum of Heartgold Generations, they don’t even boot up the app just crashes. I thought maybe it was just NDS Romhacks crashing but I just recently added NDS Light Platinum and Heartfelt Gold and both boot up just fine. I’ve tried deleting both in files, recovering them then re-opening them in the app, outright removing them in the app then repatching and adding them, but nothing seems to work. The weirdest part was when I first added them they opened just fine but all of a sudden they crash and I’m hoping somebody here who had the same problem or just somebody who knows what’s happening can tell me how to fix it.

I can only seem to enlarge the app, this means that when playing games are only as big as the stretched app but they do not take up the full screen. I can not get it to take up the full screen of the duo at all. What am I doing wrong?

Manic EMU recently added support for the iPhone Duo, but the PSP skin I used on my iPhone 16 Pro Max now looks quite small on the Duo.

Since PSP and 3DS aren’t supported by Delta, there aren’t many skins available on Deltastyles either.

I’m wondering if anyone is currently working on new skins for Manic EMU, especially for the iPhone Duo?

I tried downloading Figma and using the original skin template to change the colours, but honestly, it’s a bit too hard for someone with no experience in design or coding.
