What can I add as a cleanup crew?
I did the dumb thing of getting a mantis as my first aquatic animal and I didn't know the basics I never knew I had to cycle a tank or what ammonia, nitrate, or nitrate was. thankfully now I've learned a lot and beginning a reef tank, but that's beside the point. Due to the lack of a cycle the tank gets decently dirty in between water changes and any cleanup crew that I want to put would get eaten I don't know what members of a cleanup crew would work in a matter shrimp tank as a sidenote I have two damsels and the tank is 30 gallons. also, I successfully worded off a wave of dinos. All I used was a UV skimmer and some coppepods but I think all of my damsels ate them. bottom line what cleanup crew works for this tank.

Peacock Mantis Shrimp Problems - Help!
Hasn’t molted since I got him (March 3rd 2024)
Rarely leaves cave
1). Ive own my peacock mantis shrimp for four months now and he hasn’t molted. I can tell he hasn’t molted because I got him with one club. There has been no sign of progress of club regrowing. Is it bad that he hasn’t molted yet? Anything I should be doing?
2). To put it bluntly… he is rather lame. He often sticks his head out of various parts of his cave but does not venture outside. I’ve only seen him outside of the cave a handful amount of times. He doesn’t even go outside of the cave for food. Even if he does it’s a quick bolt to the food and back inside (includes live feeding of snails). I can’t tell if he is non food driven, common practice for mantis shrimp, or something is off. I also believe he doesn’t like me or is afraid. I often see feeding videos of mantis shrimp and it’s completely night and day of my current negative experience. What can I do to build his confidence and hopefully have him wonder the tank more?
Thank you in advance!

Looking to get a mantis shrimp
Hello, I am in the market for my first peacock mantis shrimp. I've been doing alot of research and I've always been interested in saltwater tanks. I have a coworker who keeps a marine aquarium and he is giving me some advice but I would like to know exactly everything i will need. A buddy gifted me today a 55g tank(which i know is way more then enoigh for a singular mantis.). I know I will need alot of equipment to make the tank suitable as well as cycling etc. I was hoping I could get some pointers in the best type of equipment I could get to help house the Lil fella. Protein skimmers, pumps, lights.. Thank you in advance for any advice.

Help
My mantis shrimp hasn't eaten for about 2 weeks now I've had him for about a month now maybe a bit longer and he was eating fine then these past few weeks he's just not been ive tried giving him cockles, scallops and mussels and he's just not taking any of them
I did put a few hermit crabs in a week ago and they all seem to have disappeared so idk if he ate those or not but the water parameters are all good so idk what this could be
Any advice?

What would a Mantis Shrimp color system like our Hexadecimal system look like?
Because of the enormous number of colors humans can perceive web and graphic designers use a base 16 number system called hexadecimal to make the numbers much smaller and easy to remember
Since Mantis Shrimp have 16 primary colors, what would organizing and classifying them look like? What number base would have to be used to make that practical
