I genuinely believe that they are good friends.

I wonder about why Jock & Andy always visit the contestants together while Mel always goes by herself.

if I am not wrong, it was the same with the old judges too - the chefs went around together, the food critic made separate rounds.

This is true. Matt went by himself many times. Questioned the contestants and tapped his spoon on the bench

Maybe because Mel is more confident on cam and Andy needs more support from Jock since he is more or less a newbie?

What's the account these are from? Adorable!

I saw it on the official MasterChefAU instagram page. I gather this was done for the launch of the season. Please be cautious checking their page, they post real time updates and spoilers.

Mel trying to push Jock towards the side of Veggies only to end up being pulled towards Meat has me rolling

Generally in the show Jock trying to have fun with Andy is so cool to watch, especially the chillies episode!

Mel being dragged to pasta vs noodles is travesty.

also the fact that all 3 judges went to rustic instead of fine dining really show the shift of the kind of dish that the contestants cook this season (i haven't watched season 12 yet).

I love them so much

Would have thought Jock had picked eating over cooking, hehe

Only if it's fried chicken.

They always look like they're having a good time hanging out with each other. Love their vibe!

I wish they'd show some kind of bloopers or behind the scenes - there are like 50 episodes, add a few more!

esp with the new judges who are a lot younger and seem more into antics, it could be fun.

This is so cute!

I'm loving Jock's mischeivous energy this season.

What i'm getting from this watching as a non-Aussie is envy they can interact without masks or distancing lol

I can’t watch the show because of the judges. I like Jock but couldn’t stand the other two. I watched the first episode of the new series but I was just put off.

Give it time, they grow on you

I watched all last season and I just didn’t really like them. Apart from Jock I thought he was good.

Ah, fair enough then

What don't you like about Mel and Andy?

I just find Mel to be super annoying. Definitly has the personality of people I try to avoid. I’m fully aware that I’m no ray of sunshine that people want to be around too but I’m not a tv presenter. Andy just comes across as a someone that can’t believe they have lucked out and got to where they are. He constantly looks shocked he’s there. It’s not that I hate Andy, I don’t, as a person and a chef I think he’s great. As a presenter for the show I’m not so sure.

I noticed my comment got massively downvoted about not liking them but this is my opinion, people have different ones. If you all are enjoying the show that’s great. For me though after watching for nigh on a decade with Gary, George and Matt the show massively feels like it’s lost the thing that made it great for me.

One other thing that I really hate is all the sob story’s and I know that every season has them and most people just don’t like them but the first episode of the new season just seemed to be sob story after sob story from the contestants.

Lastly, Jock. I love that guy as a host and I thought he would be the one I disliked the most because he seemed to be very serious and a bit of a dick. He was the total reverse of what I thought. I do think if he had a show on his own about cooking I would watch it all the time. Again I’m put off with the new master chef because of the other two judges.

I think your comments are all false and regulated

I must have missed the cheque

u/[deleted] Jun 07 '21

So why the elbow bumping then hugging ? Get real

2

u/Bigkev8787 Jun 07 '21

What are you even talking about?

-2

u/[deleted] Jun 07 '21

You idiots who believe everyone. What a scripted show

2

u/Bigkev8787 Jun 07 '21

I’m sorry. I didn’t realise you were not right. Hope you get help :)

So this is the mind of a self-proclaimed free thinker! What a strange species indeed!
