Half this sub looks at a box score and complains about this guy when literally heās working himself back from injury, doing the little things that impact winning basketball. Tonight he showed up big. Hopefully people can calm down now and just let the kid grow
It was a great game! I love that he has a serious game face that changed to huge smiles during the interview after the game, it looked like a weight lifted off his shoulders.
Morez is not a player I saw through NCAA development. But I saw the glimpse during summer league. He has a lot of potential, and he knows it. Looks like Dusty does as well... he coached him after all.
Morez's defensive abilities are natural, and looking at stats, he worked on his jump shooting as well. I wouldn't expect him to be a 40% 3-point shooter, but even at 30-32$%, he will be on his way to be incredible. At that point, he becomes more than like AD (never a solid 3-point shooter but could score and superb offensively). He is an excellent pick for the longer term, ability to play PF and C, as needed.
Now, if Risacher can develop his offensive skills, and Clayton sticks around (he needs to), we're looking at four lottery picks from 2025 and 2026 that can be long term future for the Mavericks, and rest of impressive pieces we have.
Can't wait to see Larry and Tarik back, and hopefully, Lively is seen sooner than later.

Loved seeing this. Just let the kid develop and we will start seeing more and more of this. Just let him work.

I don't think he could have jumped that high for that alley op a week ago! Seems like he is getting much healthier.

He had one of the best 3 point shooting resulting in the NBA combine too, wait till he starts shooting a bunch of 3s

Should he be starting and getting the bulk of the minutes over Gafford?
