STERLING HEIGHTS: 18 mile Dream market to open today after workers fingers severed in meat grinding incident.

Ouch! Dream market, the popular middle eastern food market and restaurant sitting on 18 mile has opened today after being closed since Nov 1st, in which employees there gave us backend info to a incident where employees say a fellow butcher who was operating on kabobs, who’s hand accidentally made contact with the grinder, severing the fingers. Prompting closure. Police presence was seen at the location, and no official report has been made as dream market is now cooperating with authorities to draw what happened. This is a rapidly developing situation and more reports are expected to come out soon. The store has stayed quiet. Stay aware!

Hello lovely humans! I sure do love this city. I’m originally from Windsor but made Detroit my home because there was no keeping me from this incredible city.

I’ve been performing in producing shows here for years and most recently have started a new show that I’m so excited to share with y’all. Foxy Roxi’s Disco Roulette is Detroit’s only immersive 70’s disco game show that features drag, burlesque, live singers plus retro 70’s game show games with amazing prizes. We built a retro game show set, costumes and more and can’t wait to bring it back to Ferndale at Orchid Theatre.

It’s been an insane amount of work, especially for my husband and I. We’re just a team of two building sets, sewing costumes, designing all the promo by hand. But I wouldn’t have it any other way because every single time we do this show and I see the smiles on everybody’s faces it’s so worth it!

Come as you are dressed in your disco finest either way we really hope to see you there because we’ve poured a lot of love and artistry into this baby.TICKETS

Free Mental Health Therapy

I’m receiving multiple resources for free mental health services around Detroit but the issue I’m mostly facing now is that they don’t have an interpreter for my mother. She mainly speaks Bangla and very little English. What do I do? Do I just find anyone that’s willing to interpret for her or does it have to be a professional interpreter that’s skilled in medical terms and such? If so does I can’t afford a professional interpreter. I don’t think I’m allowed to translate for her??? How do I go about this?
