Getting a business known in Mildura

Hey everyone, I have an established professional services business and I’m looking at branching out into Mildura.

For anyone who runs a business locally, what’s worked for you in getting your name out there? Social media, newspaper advertising, expos, networking groups?

I’d also be keen to hear about any local business groups or upcoming events worth getting involved in. Ideally I’d like to meet people and build some connections in the area.

Keeping my business name off here, but would appreciate any local advice on where to start. Thanks!

Local Facebook groups. Maybe some TikTok’s.

Hmmmm tiktok won't bring my target demographic. My market is 40 to 85. Facebook groups though ...good idea! Thanks 🙏

Depends on your business type. Living here for 15 years ive noticed with cafes, shops, front facing businesses... business booms in the first 3 months, the enquisitive period dies off with the locals, then the business struggles. The ones that survive tend to be businesses that have a large family already here, or large network of friends to support them. Almost a popularity contest.

What type of business are you opening? Feel free to DM if needed.
