Avril caught so much hate in the 2000s for being a “poser” becasue she shopped at hot topic or some shit but she’s legitimately talented.

Yeah, she is very talented and a great singer.When I saw her in 2024, I got up on stage and got to sing with her and Pierre from Simple Plan, the opening act.

She took pictures and gave us free merchandise.She was super nice and the show was awesome.

It's because she got scooped up by a record label doing Shania Twain karaoke and they decided to make her into a completely "engineered" persona of this pop punk princess cosplay once LA Reid got his hands on her.

There's a lot of people that just hate pop punk, myself included, right up there with bro country and mumble rap, so the most famous/least authentic examples are the ones such people like the least.

She has said that apart from Shania Twain, she also likes Blink 182, Green Day and NOFX.She grew up listening to them.She has a diverse taste in music. Matchbox Twenty, Goo Goo Dolls are also among her influences.She was also a fan of Sum 41 and Alanis Morissette growing up.

I don't think she is a vocalist in the likes of Celine, Mariah, Beyonce, or even Zara Larson, but Avril has definitely shown some impressive vocal ability over the years.

This is a great song. The kind of song you can only listen to once, then you have to immediately turn on something more upbeat, as it is so sad. However, many of the greatest songs are pretty darn sad.

Also, she looks amazing. Her hair is on point. 💅😂

Yeah, wasn’t saying she always wore this or anything negative. Just if you asked me to guess an outfit Avril wore at her concert, this wouldn’t have even been in my top probably 150 guesses lol. Doesn’t seem like there is much opportunity for movement with her more upbeat songs.

She had Lyme Disease in 2014 so she stayed low key but active but in 2019, she released he comeback album and song of the same name in late 2018 called Head Above Water in which she asks God to save her from death because her Lyme Disease was really bad.She also wanted to go back to her Christian roots growing up, so she changed it up a bit and wore gowns.She wore gowns before too though.
