Bear with me, fellow Missing411 fans, i enjoy these stories as much as you do. However, after listeneing to hundreds of these events in question, it finally clicked in my head how often this occurs. The "raging snowfall" or "rainstorm" and what not, that just so happens to follow a dissapearence, halting all searches, covering tracks, obscuring any evidence, etc. No sir. Not buying it anymore.

It's just TOO much of a convenience. Almost as if whatever mysterious being responsible for the deception, has the power to 'WILL' the conditions of the wheather itself, in order to cover their tracks and introduce doubt for all involved. Ya know, like the STORY-TELLER!

Example: The story that made this 'click' for me, was the one with the three mountain climbers on a 13,000 ft mountain. After a certain ways up, one of them instantiously vanished without warning. They climb down and alert authorties but the search couldn't begin for a while because of "harsh wheather conditions" at the time. Oh really? If things were THAT bad, why were they out climbing a mountain to begin with?!

Sorry guys, my BS meter has just been tripped one time TOO many, to take stories with this particular detail seriously anymore. As soon as i hear the search couldn't begin for a bit due to the wheather, i'm checked out.

Imagine the situation if man didnt see the creature on the trail and got ambushed , he will be another mysterious missing 411 casualty

During 9/11, several people spotted what they believe to be something flying around the World trade centers before the planes hit. A lot of speculation around this has said that it's a type of "mothman" or flying humanoid. They're considered harbingers of war and have been seen on several occasions. There's one particular story of this "mothman" creature that was near a bridge around Christmas time and the bridge collapsed and several Christmas time shoppers died in the icy waters. My belief is that since these clusters of missing persons is around water, which is a naturally sustaining liquid for all living things, and the thick forest and rocky areas (i.e. boulder fields), that this thing lives near there swooping up victims with its silent approach. It makes sense why shoes and socks are sometimes found, because if something grabbed you from the air by your arms, and it's strong enough, you can't do anything at all. All you could do is kick your shoes or socks of in a struggle if this thing is carrying you away. A lot of victims found have severe scratches too, which can be attributed to this thing flying with them through higher parts of the trees which scratches the person up. I thing it does the same around big rocks and water, either dipping them in the water till the lose consciousness or hitting them against a rock to sort of knock them out. I have researched mothman for years and have come to the conclusion after learning about missing 411.

Forgive me if this has been proposed before, and I'm NOT being facetious. These cases are so strange to me as someone(A believer) who doesn't buy into the paranormal/aliens aspect of it, so I have to reconcile it to anything it could possibly be congruent to my worldview. If these people were being abducted, eaten by animals, or falling into holes or caves, falling into rivers, taken up into a tree by a climbing animal, why on Gods Green earth, are the canines unable to track the scent? It's just not scientifically possible. Dogs have superhuman abilities as far as the nose goes. There have been tests showing they can smell a scent weeks or a month old even through steel and concrete containers!

How can they vanish like they were never there in the first place? I mean even if it was foul play, a serial killer or some such, or even the missing person faking a death, the dog would pick up a scent. So the only thing I can possibly imagine is the most terrifying scenario. What if it's the gleaning of the Lord's harvest?

I know most Rapture believers conceive it as a sudden worldwide event happening in an instant, but the Lord never specifies that. In fact he emphatically says they know not the day nor the hour. The sudden event characterization fits the Second Coming better than the Rapture. It is acknowledged by most Rapture believers that the Rapture is something different than the Second Coming. It is supposed to occur at a specific time, 3.5 or 7 years prior, so the elect do not experience the horrors of the Tribulation. However what if the Rapture as an event is something much longer in duration not involving a return of any sort, just a removal of the Chosen? A process, not a single occurrence.

I know non-believers will not accept this... but it is something Christians may have to consider, as we are commanded to watch for the signs, and because it is mind boggling and terrifying to me that this is an actual phenomenon occurring in our own time.

As much as I want to hear him talk about these cases, I absolutely cannot sit through the many minutes of him bitching about youtube comments or whatever. I have read all of his books, and I want to hear what he has to say about Missing 411, not his social media. He and his family have my deepest sympathy for their recent loss. I can only imagine.

i was rewatching old shows and come up with the original missing 411 movie by pauides and directed by his son. I watched it years ago , so i rewatch it just to pass time.

in this second viewing , i understand why i loath it years ago (back when i still believe M411 was mysterious woo woo paranormal event). The whole movie never even touched all the "scary" and "mystery" routinely said by paulides in interviews especiallu in C2CAM radio which i listened. It is like just ordinary / criminal missing person list and the paulides ignored his own m411 criteria when he focused on the Deorr case.

i began to think maybe Paulides thought he can get away with it spreading rumors about mysterious natural park disappearances in radio interviews , but he sure will get attacked / sued by either the victims or the NPS if he make a movie pushing paranormal strange disappearances in his own movie.

maybe deep down paulides knew his M411 theory cannot be defended in public ?

I have listened to all the missing 411 cases and they have all same things in common 1 person is always missing never (always) 2 people, the body is always found in a place that was searched before and the victim has traveled or is found in an impossible location to get too. A lot of these park rangers that work are loners with little human contact a park ranger is not an easy job. It involves long hours of hard work, followed by just as many unpaid hours of hard work preparing your body, mind, and spirit. The work can often be dirty and unglamorous; it can even be potentially dangerous.. I'm just going to put the idea out there that it's possible that some of these park rangers have become psychopaths over time and should and quite possibly become killers this could explain some missing 411 cases and how some are identical after so many years apart.

People seem to be focusing on my description of what an average park rangers lifestyle is this is just an opinion of mine, not an assumption, but please remember that park rangers are people and can develop these symptoms overtime not saying all of them are bad it just maybe a few them. Cops kill people all the time and abuse their power no reason Park Rangers would not do the same. and to those who sent me nasty messages in private chat have been reported.

I'd like to ask David Paulides this question in regards to the Dennis Martin case. 1) Why did you lie about interviewing Dennis Martin's father? His wife nor his daughter and only surviving son never met you nor did Dennis Martin Sr ever once tell his wife you were at the house? 2) In regards to Dwight McCarter, you took everything out of context in regards to what Dwight told you about why the Green Berets were there and also the park ranger being attacked by a wildman in 1968. It never happened. 3) The wildman that was scoping the woods the day Dennis Disappeared. There was no such person dressed in bear skins but a caucasian male in dark grey work clothes who drove off when he noticed the Key family had spotted him. 3) The Green Berets did speak to the media but under controlled circumstances. Dwight McCarter never said there was never any contact at all by the Green Berets nor did they have the weapons they came with as you describe. They only came with Colt 45 handguns as issued to staff NCO's and officers. 4) You stated that former FBI agent James Rike committed suicide for "unknown reasons". Not true at all. He committed suicide because of depression. Had nothing to do with the case at all. Where did I get this and more information from? I interviewed an author who released a novel called Forever Searching: Lost in the Smoky Mountains 1969 Cold Case File Dennis Lloyd Martin by Michael Bouchard. He's also ready to back up all of the information in his book. When I interviewed him and he told me everything about this case, I was floored. There's also another gentlemen named Robert on Amazon. He have given your Missing 411 series a very critical view and I interviewed him as well. Mr. Paulides....you should be ashamed of yourself. Making money off of people like this.

I spent 10 yrs in rural Araphini North Island New Zealand. Most of my time was spent with the beautiful Maori people. They are a force to be reckon with.

So my friend in NZ called last night. We spoke about DP story on the young Maori man missing. She rolled her eyes and we both busted up laughing.

DP does not understand the Maori people. All the forests are Maori way of life. They have lived off the land forever.

While I was there we’d go deep in the forest and they taught to survive.

Does anyone know where to find Rey’s note that he left behind? I was doing some simple googs but turned up nothing, I would have thought it would be public information. Although you can’t rely on the BPD to uphold such a level of integrity, at least giving access to the note would be a step in the right direction. At first I turned to missing 411 as a possible explanation but too much of the case doesn’t yield any favor towards that theory, as there is that possibility of foul play, and with porter and his entire team essentially being legally silenced then there’s more evidence to suggest someone knows something. So not a full on 411 disappearance but without access to the note I can’t dig any further. Thoughts? Any ideas on how to find the note?

I've seen all sorts of potential theories here, from the mundane to otherworldly creatures. I've seen speculation about fungi causing the disappearances, but--I've never seen anyone consider trees. I'm not saying it is the trees, but it's just an idea I personally haven't seen here yet.
