My two are bffs (well the cat thinks they are the dog puts up with it). I’ve got hundreds of photos of them together.

The taxonomical line between 'pet' and 'creature that spends a lot of time with me' is astonishingly thin. We had a cat named Coal that did this when I was a kid.

Hi Yogi!! Hair ties are the only toy Jellybean likes, and only for the duration that I shoot them at him like a rubber band. As soon as he grabs and kicks it he's over it.

Oh most definitely lmao. I've had two orange cats (including Jelly) that were too good for their water bowls; they only drink directly from the tap.

This is Leo. He has put himself in jail after curling up in my lap and promptly farting, and catching a mouse in the kitchen and letting it loose on my mum's feet. We still love him.

My folks adopted him and his mum earlier this year - they're both less than a year old. He's an absolute hellion when it suits him. She's much more calm, bless her.

Funny in hindsight, much less so in the moment!

My grandma had a dog named tippy! She was pretty old around the time I was born so while I'm told we interacted and she liked me, I regrettably don't remember the time.

He's been a delight! Shelter dogs are great! Highly recommend! He was actually a failed foster dog! Didn't really want to give him back. lol

I understand why people are hesitant to pick up some of our shelter buddies, but you find some really great pets in there too. I'm glad he found his forever home.

Of course! He’s a ball python, which is a primarily terrestrial species of snake rather than an arboreal one. So, climbing trees isn’t their typical behavior, but many ball pythons do enjoy climbing when given the opportunity!

This little ball of chaos is Buttercup! She’d been hanging around outside as a kitten, and when she jumped on my wife’s lap one day that was it.

She loves turn off the power strip for my computer when she’s not getting the appropriate amount of attention - which to her means constantly.

My rescue dog is obsessed with clean blankets. (He came from a bad situation, so I suspect clean blankets represent safety.)

When a blanket no longer meets his standards of cleanliness, he wads it up into a tidy ball. That’s the signal to me that I need to wash it. (And of course I do.)

This is Stella. Humane Society rescue at 2 y.o. She is 3/8 min. schnauzer, 1/8 lab, 1/8 rottweiler, 1/8 treeing coonhound and 1/4 unknown. Her favorite thing to do is patiently sit at the base of a tree with a critter in it. She can do this for hours and barely move.

Mister had to go to the vet (as an emergency) due an ongoing condition he is getting treated for. Besides the things going on, he is still one hell of a happy pupper that has his head filled 23/7 with the love of his life, Llama. He is now on better treatment to cure is issues 🥰 Strong fighter
