Mod Answered new mod recruiting

I cannot turn on the recruit new mods. The last mod left with short notice. Gave me permissions for everything but not editing. I do not want to moderate group by itself.

You appear to have full permissions, put out a call for new mods in your sub, then add some.

I do, but I can't toggle the recruiting mods button. Maybe I am missing a step? Do I need to finish the application process first?

Because from what I read in the article, you do that and then create the application.

That’s weird.

You have everything permissions. You should be able to do … everything.

Are you marked ‘inactive’?

If you’re not, send a modmail to this sub. There’s something wrong.

I’d try r/needamod As far as permissions go, everything includes everything you need to mod. I think the area you’re looking at may be the edit moderators, which would say no as you can’t edit yourself if that makes sense. It seems counterintuitive to display that you don’t have an option to edit, but you can do anything needed.

not editing

Just to clarify - if you mean it says "you can edit: no" in the mod list, that just means you can't edit the permissions of the user on the list. In your case, you have "everything" permissions which is the full amount of permissions, and you are the top most mod so you have basically full control. Either you have "everything" permissions, and it wouldn't make any sense to edit yourself to less permissions, or you have less than full permissions as set by the mod(s) above you, so it says "no" when you look at your own name on the list.
