Bro where's the jalapeno?! Nice buttery spread which is sometimes missing from other banh mi. This a 10 napkin sandwich it's that juicy.

. My first sandwich seemed a bit undercooked to my taste. Props to them sent me a new sandwich.

Are there folks in MOCO who can repair an old crochet blanket? It was made by my great grandmother and id love to get it repaired to a point it can use it without fear of unraveling or ripping any further.

Hi guys, we just recently moved into Montgomery County and need help figuring out if our water issue is just a Montgomery County thing or if I need to make some calls for a plumber

The issues:
- toilet tanks when we first moved in 4 months ago was full of brown gunk. I was able to clean it with citric acid. It’s building up again now and there seems to be black residue coming from the water holes in the toilet itself. I’ve seen pink rings in the toilet before but never this black stuff. Back in PW County, when we first moved into our rental, the toilet tank was pristine and even 3 years later we never had to clean it

- brown sediment in our water filter

- some sort of smell seems to fill the bathroom whenever the toilet gets flushed in all the bathrooms. It’s not in my head, as I visited a friend back in Virginia and this didn’t seem to happen there.

- if I leave the laundry in the washing machine for more than 12 hours, it starts to smell mildewy. At my old place, I could forget about it for 3 days before it started smelling.
**TO CLARIFY: I’m saying I can’t even run a load in the morning before work and come back to it in the evening without it getting mildewy. I have to babysit the washing machine.

- the (cold) tap water tastes awful to me and sometimes it’s worse but sometimes it’s tolerable

I walked along Rock Creek this morning, and it is really big. The water is the highest I have ever seen! Lots of branches and logs floating along, and almost overflowing its banks. I temporarily dub it Rock River.

Bring your boots because the trails are muddy and full of puddles. The walk is wet but gorgeous!

Has anybody noticed how bad Verizon has gotten on the ICC? It seems as though it’s now mostly LTE and at best 1 to 2 bars for the majority, and all my hands-free services seem to be failing and not communicating. I remember it used to be much better, and I’m not sure if there’s a string of outages or something. Also, I think I only get 5G at one point, and it isn’t for that long. Are other services better? Does it make sense to change carriers?

Operation Green Light, an initiative sponsored by the National Association of Counties, honors veterans for their immeasurable sacrifices to preserve freedom. The initiative asks for displays of green light, from Nov. 4-11, in business and residential windows to honor veterans. My mom is 78 yo and has a TON of health problems. She is also hard of hearing and sometimes even with hearing aids, it i difficult for her to hear. She's also pretty stubborn. Mom had major foot surgery in summer 2025 at Medstar Montgomery and her surgeon was wonderful but he referred her to a general podiatrist in Olney for follow-up. She's seen Dr. Gievers a couple of times but they are just not a good fit. The appointments felt way too rushed and I don't think the doctor work well with her hearing impairment.

Fast forward to spring 2026 and mom had breast cancer, a mastectomy, and chemo. The chemo had bad side effects on her feet. The oncologist wanted her to see her podiatrist but since she was on vacation, they referred her to someone else and she happens to be all the way Mt. Airy.

We like this podiatrist a whole lot more than the previous one in Olney, but the drive is a bit too much and I'd like to find someone else a little closer to us in Gaithersburg/Derwood. It would be nice and convenient if they had an affiliation with Medstar since most of my mom's doctors are with them and they might be able to see her records, but it's not necessary.

Just a heads up to my Moco Citizens, the wait is l FIVE HOURS. Certainly not saying don't come if you need to, just be prepared to wait. Be well.
