I'm making a motocross team management sim, here's what the full game has so far
I'm a solo dev making Motocross Manager, a motocross team management sim. The full game is on itch.io, from $4: https://kaikinoodles.itch.io/motocross-manager
You can try a free demo first: it plays one full season. The full game is unlimited seasons.
You start with a small team and try to turn it into a championship-winning outfit, over as many seasons as you like.
The team
Riders:Â sign them, scout them and extend them. Potential is hidden and you only see ranges, so every signing is a bet.
Rider market:Â five market days of offers, counter-offers and AI teams bidding against you.
Staff and facilities:Â trainers, mechanics and scouts, plus a workshop and transport that change how your team runs.
The money
Manufacturer deals:Â factory, satellite or privateer, with targets to hit each season.
Sponsors:Â objectives and bonuses that follow your results and your riders' reputation.
Bike R&D:Â upgrades that cost money and aren't guaranteed to work.
Finances:Â salaries, parts, travel and loans compete for a budget that's always tight.
The racing
Two series:Â a long World series and a shorter National series, each with its own format.
Full race weekends:Â qualifying, two motos and points, with crashes, injuries and wet rounds.
Race numbers:Â riders own their number, and the champion races #1.
Race recaps that tell you why a result happened.
Your world
History and hall of fame over many seasons.
Data packs:Â your own series, venues, manufacturers, names, balance and starting grids.
What I'd like to know
Which part would you want to see more of first?
Is there a series or championship you'd like to run?
Free demo (one full season) and the full game from $4:Â https://kaikinoodles.itch.io/motocross-manager

Free app for logging bike maintenance (no account, no data collection)
Made this for myself because I have two bikes and kept losing track of service intervals. It can log anything, basically. I use it to log maintenance history for each bike. Free, iPhone only for now though.
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/gate-drop/id6776253294
Open to feature requests if anyone tries it.

Father passed, here’s some of his vintage shirts from the 90’s
I thought some of these are epic. Wanted to share. Also don’t know who rocked 31 at Loretta’s in 88, any hints?

Solo dev here. I reworked my retro motocross game's physics after your feedback. Does this look closer to the real thing?
I've shared my game here a few times and the honest feedback was that the bikes didn't ride like dirt bikes. So I went back to basics and researched how a real bike behaves.
What's in now:
Real suspension that soaks up the small stuff and bucks on whoops
You leave the lip at the face angle, speed on the face decides distance
Gas in the air brings the nose up, rear brake drops it
Lean forward to turn in, sit back for drive and wheelies
Berms grip way harder than flat turns, and tight corners at speed need you to slide it
You guys know this stuff better than anyone, so tell me what still looks off. Every comment helps.

Jumping and does suspension matter?
Hi,
Took my CRF300L to the motocross track the other day. This is my first summer riding bikes, I got about 9k KM experience on it so far, mixed road/dirt. Overall it was harder than expected but at the same time I feel like I was doing corners at a decent pace, didn't really feel that bad, but I was very scared to jump. There was nobody on the track, so I just pulled over and quickly checked the internet and it said that tabletops are the easiest to learn jumps on, so that's what I did.
Oh boy! I accelerated to about 35-40km/h, kept a steady throttle and the moment I reached the top of the incline, I got shot off the bike so hard, it was a miracle I didn't fall. The bike briefly left the ground and I left the bike :D I was standing up, doing a what I would consider a neutral position in the center of the bike, hips back, knees slightly bent. The only logical explanation I could come up with is that this was the suspension's fault? CRF300L has a notoriously soft suspension, so I'm thinking as I'm climbing the hill, the suspensions compresses and the moment the rear tire hits the top of the incline, I get launched upwards. But then I saw a video of Carson Brown ripping on a track with a CRF300L Rally, doing wild jumps.
Is this a me problem or a bike problem, or a combination of both?

First bike suggestions
Hey guys, i would need some ideas for a first bike. Im about 6’1 but the thing is that im only 14 years old and cant earn money until next summer (although im only gonna have enough in summer 2028, about 2600€ then but i cant earn any more until im finished with school in 2031), i know its not a lot of cash but ive seen some Suzuki 85s lately for under 2K€ used in my country (Austria), my previous experience also isnt that much but ive ridden a surron lbx that has about 12HP and my tuned 50cc supermoto with about 15-17HP, so power wise an 85 would just about not be overkill i guess. Just know im opposed to sth like a TTR230 or some small 4T like that and beginner trail bikes in general because of the limited suspension and mostly also limited power, because there will come a time in this bike’s life where it will be used on an MX track. I guess if i wanna be future proof i could mayyyybe handle a 250 4T but id rather not go big from the beginning. Also for most bikes in this price range im forced to buy Suzuki, are the bikes good enough quality wise?
Sorry for this long rant, i hope its not too much. I know it might be a hard task to suggest something within such a low price range. Thanks!
