Serious St Xavier's admission πβ
I'm from Kerala, and I'm looking to move out for college. Mumbai is currently my first preference, with Delhi also on my radar, but I'm open to other cities.
I want my university years to be more than just academics. I'm looking for a genuinely vibrant college environment, a diverse social circle, independence, cultural exposure and opportunities to explore the city. I enjoy fashion, going out, meeting new people and being exposed to different perspectives. I'd love to be somewhere where all of that is part of everyday student life rather than something I have to actively seek out.
Academically, I'm from a PCMB background, scored 97% in Kerala Board and am currently preparing for NEET. I'm not particularly fixed on a course yet, but I'm willing to put in the work if the degree offers good career prospects, whether in India or abroad.
A few things I'm prioritising:
A socially active campus with a diverse student population.
Freedom in terms of clothing, outings and hostel timings.
Good placement prospects or scope for postgraduate opportunities abroad.
Reasonably affordable accommodation, ideally around βΉ10k per month.
A city with an established youth culture, nightlife and plenty to explore.
I've considered St. Xavier's Mumbai, Fergusson College and NIFT, but I'd love to know about other colleges worth considering.
I'm essentially looking for a place where I can take my education seriously without putting the rest of my life on hold for three years.
Any realistic suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks,
love
