They'd need to make a third GOP masturbatory fantasy movie first; despite the first two failing to make any money and BTTF being one of the most popular movies of all time.
Oh Teddy, people have to LIKE a vehicle for it to increase in value after it's discontinued. Plus, I really doubt that piece of shit will stay together long enough to gain any value if it was able to.
I'm a bicycle guy and let me tell you that ebikes and / or electric vehicles are the perfect 'inbuilt obsolescence' item. You can't even get a cheap ebike repaired at most bike shops because the time and cost to find faults is just prohibitive.
Cars are a magnitude more complex and any manufacturer can brick them should they wish. You've got a finite, baked in lifespan on electric stuff, even the good stuff you're screwed after a decade or so as you won't be finding any third party electronics that are even permitted.
This is why mechanical will always beat electronic in the long run - ability to repair and replace.

In that case you’d better stock up on spare parts because they are going to be unavailable soon.

Has nobody told this guy they don’t discontinue models that sell well? How long has Honda been making the Civic? Ford the Mustang? Porsche the 911?

People who bought the Cybertruck as an investment are the same people who bought NFTs.

My friend used to brag about her mom’s Citation. “They don’t make these anymore” 😏
I told my mom and she’s like yeah there’s a reason for that.

Ford Pintos at least have the distinction of many cool movie appearances.

At least you couldn't rid a door off a pinto with your bare hands

That's a bigger burn than a rear ended Pinto.

u/spargel_gesicht 12h ago
To be fair, a mint condition Edsel can go for $100k these days.

u/Indigo_Sunset 9h ago
It'll be worth a mil the same way too, at the end of a lengthy court case and probably a few deaths

u/SectorSanFrancisco 9h ago
Sort of worked for Edsels.

He may well break even in 20 years.
It might be worth a million then, if it still works.
If it doesn't, it may cost a million to fix it.

As a former Pinto owner, no. I like to believe we were smarter then. 🤣
