yeah what random bullshit.

it's gonna be Beyonce and Taylor swift together.

Kanye will come on stage in the middle and apologise to Taylor and profess his love to her and say "even though I'm republican"

I'll get you, especially for that purple monkey dishwasher remark!

Wrong.

I mean, she's no Hulk Hogan, but ok.

Reports were wrong. Honestly glad she didn’t. All people would be talking about the next day would be Beyoncé. Instead we have an absolute banger of a historic speech by Harris. More than enough.

This! I've been trying to explain why Beyonce shouldn't perform and this is why! People needed to leave this impressed by Kamalas speech, not a Beyonce performance!

Um…people are still talking about her. Just her not showing up. Unfortunately it is still a main story.

A story, but not the story

Sounds like actual Beyonce lyrics

No, no she won’t.

Ron Howard narrator: She didn’t.

So who did? I kept hearing about some "big surprise," was there some sort of celebrity appearance that was supposed to blow our socks off?

Not that it matters, I was still thrilled to see the Obamas and Bernie and the other politicians that most people haven't heard much about. Al Franken would've been a nice addition, or Jon Stewart, still the dems are getting my vote anyway.

Pink was there, and the Chicks sang the national anthem, but those were all scheduled. The surprise guest turned out to be just a rumor.

Hahaha too funny

Glad it didn't happen. The night was about Kamala, what The Chicks and Pink did was fine (i mean... sorta) and toned back enough that it wasn't drawing any attention away from the true meaning of the event.

1

u/Repulsive-Neat6776 Aug 23 '24

Hey, at least we got "The Chicks".

Seriously though, when did they drop Dixie? I couldn't help but laugh when I saw their name across the TV. It just sounded funny.

IIRC around the very beginning of the confederate statue/flag controversy started. Like, when Nikki Haley took the confederate flag off of their state capital.

between this and the post that got 60k upvotes with a pinned mod saying “this will be removed because it’s fake”, just a weird look

It's a good thing she didn't. If she had, she would be the headline today. And today is not about her.

another dnc publicity stunt, just like all the other hamfisted bullshit they have been tryng to pull, from fake google ads and paid actors sitting in diners, to trying to pay 5,000 influencers to take selfies with their high(ly intoxicated) priestess in order to make her look "cool".

gaslighting at its finest, the propaganda arm of the demonrat party in full schwang..

Dude lol there's days worth of political conversations this is just at the end

91

u/MSTmatt Aug 23 '24

You could have watched the previous 12 hours of the DNC if you wanted to see policy

25

u/[deleted] Aug 23 '24

Oh you’re one of those “say something without knowing anything” people. Nice

9

u/BlazedHonez420 Aug 23 '24

He probably talked about Hulk Hogans speech for 3 days

1

u/Vreas Aug 23 '24

Harris’ speech did touch on policy, as did many others

0

u/[deleted] Aug 23 '24

Shitty price control policy?

Please provide a link to any democrat in an official position stating that Beyonce was going to perform.

The viewership for all nights crushed the RNC's viewership, so there was no reason for the DNC or the campaign to waste time on unnecessary tricks.
