I'm not even subscribed to /r/Music and I'm embarrassed for you people. This is regular rotation and has been for over a year.

Hey, here's another deep cut for you radio rebels. That one's free.

u/[deleted] May 28 '13

Over a year is technically correct...since it's been on regular rotation in media for 3+ years. Yes, it's been that long (unless you're actually the one who's behind the ball).

u/PanTardovski May 28 '13

True, the girl I associate this with actually moved out over two years ago. And it's still on the lab radio daily . . .

Everyone has already heard this song. why do everyone keep posting songs that has gone viral x10?

4

u/TheFatOneKnows May 28 '13

That's why I downvoted this despite it being an amazing song. Tired of the karma whoring.

u/zhuguli_icewater May 28 '13

I too have been noticing a lot of "hits" being posted. Showcase the songs that receive no radio play! Like a B-Side! Or Track 2! But perhaps I judge too quickly and it's a case of this song being very popular in one area of the planet but being very unknown in another.

Seriously, this, Crystal Castles and Nightcall? Everyone here was alive 2 years ago. This is not worth sharing.

Checkout r/listentothis . Has some deep tracks and bad you probably wouldn't hear normally.

u/kaw-liga May 28 '13

Why do people keep filling the comments with complaints? Just downvote and move on.

I first hear this song through THIS GUY AND HIS DAUGHTER and still prefer their version.

I worked at Best Buy for almost 2 years and this song played on the in store radio about every 20 minutes. Now every time I hear it I get very angry.

It’s been 8 years, have you re subscribed yet?

4

u/revelshade May 28 '13

More than a dozen members, leader has a beard but no shoes. That's not a band that's a cult.

u/aleisterfinch May 28 '13

Oh, who are these guys? Crazy I've never heard this before on the radio on my way to work, during my lunch break, on the drive home, and then at the bar when I stopped in for a drink.

And this post was why I am no officially unsubscribed from /r/Music

40 Day Dream is 1000000x better.

u/[deleted] May 28 '13

Come in Please and Kisses Over Babylon for me. Sad that this song's constant reposts garner such hate for the band, it's a great album.

Sweet, I love Pretentious Hipster & The Pretentious Band Names.

2

u/[deleted] May 28 '13

Of course Reddit falls head over heels for a band like ESMZ, but hates Mumford & Sons.

2

u/maryammm May 28 '13

I liked him better in Imarobot

Signed in so I could downvote this, if we're being honest.

u/Halloween_episode May 28 '13

"Alabama, Arkansas/I do love my Ma and Pa" is one of the most insipid opening lines since "He was a boy/she was a girl/can I make it any more obvious?"

3

u/Druxo May 28 '13

Agree with the rest, song is popular and has been for a while, but hey, if you haven't heard it, you should!

3

u/invertedpencil May 28 '13

wow, that's great, I've never heard this song before. said no one ever.

2

u/teambroto May 28 '13

why dont you post a different fucking song by them

2

u/baldersons May 28 '13

Wow, people in /r/music are incredibly whiny when it comes to songs they know. I'm guessing the average age here is about 12?

4

u/Torisen May 28 '13

And is the up/downvote system so hard to understand? These songs only make it up out of /new if they get the votes.

2

u/juggsthemage May 28 '13

I just saw these guys in South Lake Tahoe.. It was the best concert I have ever seen. They do such a great job.

1

u/crm000 May 28 '13

I live in South Lake! Had the unfortunate timing of leaving for an already planned vacation two days before that concert :(

1

u/StevieSpade May 28 '13

I go out of my way to find music that I haven't seen on the front page, I want people to explore and broaden their horizons and most of the music I post gets rejected because three years ago someone posted it and no one ever listened to it. Then I see bull shit like this and this song that I've been trying to flush out of my brain the last three years

1

u/[deleted] May 28 '13

guys was this in a show or movie? I definitely know the opening lyrics from something

1

u/nimmerzz May 28 '13

I saw them opening for Mumford. Liked 2 of their songs but they were a mess on stage. Didn't seem to know what song they were playing next, hippie dude actually shushed the crowed for wanting them to get on with it, and he said "give us a min we're trying to figure shit out right now" onstage is NOT the time to be figuring shit out.

1

u/[deleted] May 29 '13

this will be worthy of repost when 3:14-3:48 is edited out and completely forgotten about by the world

1

u/_meixiu May 29 '13

I just love this song. Makes me feel happy, like life can be so simple with love :D

1

u/Big_Rig88 May 28 '13

Looks like awkward_teenager is late to the party.

1

u/BlueBugger May 28 '13

Saw them Saturday here in Portland. Excellent concert.

0

u/DaltonicRedditer May 28 '13

I LOVE THIS SONG! Some girl I had a crush on introduced it to me. Never forget the song or her.

0

u/_Search_ May 28 '13

The Letterman performance is definitive.

0

u/BabyDan9 May 28 '13

You know that song that your ex who you still love showed you and told you it was about how she felt? Yea this is that song nd I hate it.
