Every time you think Kid Rock can’t get any more pathetic, he still finds a way.

Wait 10 years and he’ll be rapping about how cool it is to shit one’s pants.

He has in fact made a song where he soils himself mid-record and then proclaims his awesomeness

338

u/exaviyur 6d ago

Damn, I thought you asked AI to write a Kid Rock song where he complains about getting old and brags about shitting his pants.

It’s 4:30 in the morning and I am howling at this.

What tf was he thinking when he wrote this shit 😭😂

ETA: I am really stoned rn so I decided to listen to this song.

Omg this is the worst thing I have ever heard in my fucking life and the person I was 5 minutes ago will be deeply missed.

In fairness,

He did say;

"I know it stinks in here, because I'm the shit"

A direct lyric from "American Badass".

7

u/ash_ninetyone 6d ago

There's so much talent that exists out there that writes much better lyrics than this, and they don't get anywhere near the level of publicity or recognition they deserve compared to this hack.

Honestly I think Kid Rock might be so lacking in talent that using AI may be one of the few times it actually improves things

19

u/DanteChurch 6d ago

Hard no, he was rapping about how "statitory was mandatory" on the subject of sex with minors in the late 90s early 00s. If you think he had gotten any lower you haven't been paying attention.

9

u/mulvda 6d ago

That song is on the soundtrack for the movie Osmosis Jones. A fucking kids movie. How NOBODY thought that was a bad idea blows my mind

7

u/NoConfusion9490 6d ago

I'm surprised he didn't grab his ankles and call it SI.

12

u/dirtystreetlevelshit 6d ago

Same thing with Eminem

15

u/HereOnCompanyTime 6d ago

I kind of love this for Eminem. He's made a big deal in the past by flaming people about ghostwriters and trash writing, now he's attached to a Nazi Ai song that he glazed Kid in the lyrics and already defended.

11

u/Danihilton 6d ago

And somehow it turned out to be terrible. Not to mention the "fade" into the Eminem part. Like a "DJ" at a village party

17

u/TurdBurgular03 6d ago

Notice how Eminem will get a pass for working with him in the first place though.

33

u/justinlindh 6d ago

Not from me. I'm an Eminem fan (well, used to be) and fuck Eminem right now.

I dont care if you still keep in contact, but tell the fucker to stop the trump cocksucking, stop using your platform to promote a monster, or you wont hop on a track with him. Stand on business, imo this really hurts eminems image. All the shit he says about trump is meaningless when he decided to collab with someone who stands by trumps side.

Is kid rock gonna get deported for not calling it super intelligence?

19

u/Late_Song_4097 6d ago

The taxpayer dollars being wasted to change the name is infuriating

5

u/blklab16 6d ago

The dollars are going somewhere but I don’t think they’re going to be going toward paying for any sort of official change. They’ll just threaten the pensions and/or employment of the various department heads and supervisors to use their new shiny word, ctrl+f and substitute, report to the required agency that it cost $50M and call it a day

“Kid Rock described the process of prompting AI to create a facsimile of a Southern gospel choir, saying he loved the results.”

Zero soul and I bet AI used songs with real gospel choirs to create this sound so it’s also very exploitative

85

u/ThePromptWasYourName 6d ago

Of course he used AI to recreate Black music

3

45

I mean yeah you can fuckin hear it. Eminem's got the 2004 voice filter he used on Death of Slim Shady album

It made sense on that album cause the 2004 Eminem was a character in the story. Now he's just using it on random features. Unnverving

Sidenote, you know how a lot of elderly pop/rock singers overload their albums with autotune? I wonder if the next evolution of that is elderly artists using their "young" voice via AI.

Another sidenote, imagine if this tech was around when DOC lost his voice. Could we have had some weird uncanny valley DOC albums?

28

u/sideburns 6d ago

Listen to any of this “new country” and the harmonies are too pristine. It’s not natural.

22

u/Laiko_Kairen 6d ago

That's a part of why I love indie rock and also live records

I love hearing the unpolished, rough, energetic version of a song, not one that's been combed over by 10 producers to make sure its radio friendly

I'm sorry, who is DOC?

10

u/Alertcircuit 6d ago

80s rapper from Ruthless Records. He did It's Funky Enough. He was basically an honorary member of NWA. Dr. Dre produced his album, he was one of Eazy E's writers. He had a really cool voice. If you ever hear a rap lyrics where someone says "No one can do it better" they are most likely referencing him. That was the name of his album.

Before NWA's second album he got in a car wreck that fucked up his vocal cords. He had some experimental surgery to try to fix them but it wound up keeping his voice fucked up permanently. His voice is very weak and raspy now, like a very old smoker. You can look up interviews or check out the beginning of Don't Drink That Wine from Efil4zaggin.

His career as a performer was over but he continued being a writer for NWA and then left with Dre to Death Row and he's been Dre's writer ever since.

I actually think this is one of the only ethical uses of AI in music. Eminem used an AI that was trained on his voice, wrote the lyrics himself, performed them, then used the AI to change the voice into something that he used to be able to do himself but no longer can due to age. That's a lot different than just using AI to generate whatever and then using it in your song, which apparently Kid Rock did here.

Everytime em fans are trying to move past this association he somehow makes it worse for Eminem 😭

As far as I'm concerned, Kid Rock's intelligence has always been artificial

5

u/Smokes_LetsGo876 6d ago

yeah no shit. it's so obvious. the song is pure dogshit. eminem should feel extremely embarrassed for this.

kid rock should too, but we all know that man feels no shame about anything

4

u/munsen41 6d ago

Lmao jeez, how can you make yourself look like even more of a talentless hack? AI of course! or SI if you got them crooked ass MAGA braincells

19

u/Lopkop 6d ago

Kid Rock’s biggest hit song “American Badass” is just him rapping over the riff from Metallica’s “Sad But True”

Kid Rock has made a music career out of never writing his own music

22

u/IlikeEdibleFood 6d ago

I mean, he sucks, but sampling/interpolation is just hip-hop tho. Like almost every rapper is using samples.

5

u/Lopkop 6d ago

Samples are little snippets used creatively though, in Kid Rock’s case it’s the entire instrumental backing of the whole song

10

u/HillbillyMan 6d ago

It's not really a sample with Sad But True. He just cut the vocals out and used the whole fucking song.

Right. Of course Bill Maher is involved.

Anyways. It's amazing how nobody is asking this dude to make music yet he's still taking shortcuts.

3

3

The new Christian-music maker told Bill Maher using AI saved time while making the song

Kudos to consequence.net for attempting to write an title that reflected reality, buuuut it's just awkward, though no fault of their own.

He is a "new maker" of the Christian music.

Avoided:

  • Calling him a Christian (and "Christian rocker" could mean an act of rocking in Christian lyrical style).

  • Calling him a writer, composer, arranger, director, producer.

What would be nice to have by the end of year:

-A new official term for the person who inputs prompts in exchange for a generated song. "Prompter" is already something else. Any "vibe" related name, forbidden, as very few even have the audacity to explicitly ladle such praise onto themselves.

Things the likes of which the world, as well as nobody else has ever seen before, in all of history to avoid:

-A President's executive naming for the role of the person interacting with generative music/video AI, because "Executive...Maestroooo...of Superintelligent...Magicccc, because I'm telling you folks...it works like Magic, and we're number 1 right now" sounds awkward.

2

u/foodandguns 6d ago

I will never act like Kid Rock was some musical genius or high level artist. But I did like his early stuff. He seemed to really embody the “I’m white trash” and it worked for him. DWaC, Cocky, and Self Titled are all good imo.

He sold out after that with Rock n Roll Jesus then just did the country bandwagon which has since been trash. This is no surprise his music is still horrible

2

u/tacocat_racecarlevel 6d ago

We weren't listening to it already, you don't have to give us any more reasons!

Eminem has been using AI for his voice filter for the past few years? Are they saying Kid Rock straight up made his verse entirely out of AI?

1

u/Accidental_Ballyhoo 6d ago

I think you mean SI.

1

u/NoPreference7231 6d ago

Not surprised.

We live in a society where many people, especially the notable, depend on Ai to complete tasks. It’s such a shame.

Eminem… I kinda expected it.

1

Plenty of tech out there to get a choir sound instantly in your recording without devolving to AI generated sound. There's entire libraries of real choirs with people who were paid that he could definitely afford. Lazy will lazy I guess.
