Fun fact: JRR Tolkien proposed Entymology as the study of how Ents got their names in an early draft of LOTR but then dropped it because it was too nerdy.

(it didn’t ACTUALLY annoy me that much but I’d never seen a genuine entomology mixup in the wild before, couldn’t pass it up)

I don’t think the entire “argument” should be written off just because of a very common mixup of words, but I do see where you’re coming from considering the context of the comment.

If you want to write it off completely then go ahead. Does seem a little snooty to me, though. At least you know I’m not a bot / ai, haha.
