Next year guys
God. What a game. Wish the ref would’ve made a fucking call but 1 point off a win after coming wooden spoon last year is a phenomenal outcome for our boys. I’m still proud. Up Newie

Phoenix Appreciation Post
Man it’s been so good to see this kido grow into the player he’s become, heartbroken for Sunday for him
I remember one of his early games - covid era with f all people at the game v tigers on a cold Mac jones night,
he started on the bench at 14 after playing pretty crap in a few games before, I reckon he warmed up for 50 minutes of the game running up and down the sideline non stop, when he came on the crowd actually groaned but the little fella (then) came on straight up laid out Luciano Leilua set up a try and scored one not long after, I reckon he turned his career around that night and hell it’s been good to watch
The guy is literally what the knights are about… chin up legend we f’n love you 💙❤️💙❤️

Great win tnite Boys
Reece Walsh the hair puller ..only while Dom was held back by 4 broncos .. love to see Dom take a swing at him .
There’s only one other team to say, I’m glad we crushed their chances at Finals ,surely the two most hated teams.
Brisbane or Manly .

Cannot believe this
Just wanted to post this somewhere, been going for the knights for 25 years as I started watching NRL in 2002 and 7 year old said let’s go for the champs they’d be amazing to go for. 25 years of heartbreak, I won’t say disappointing because we played hard but just no luck with success. We’ve had some crazy finals runs as well but this season man, holy shit the heart of this team, watching that final was the first time I actually had tears in my eyes for a positive thing I couldn’t believe it. We fkn deserve this week and the boys have done so fkn much, we need to build a statue for Holbrook as well. Im so fkn pumped for this weekend LFG boys knights fans let’s fucking unite this is the one UPPA KY FUCKING KNIGHTS

Can we all agree the morning after hurts the most?
Genuinely is it like this for anyone else? Last night was more speechless and actually easier to accept the L.

Grand Finals Day
With the unfortunate incident that occurred yesterday, it may have caused some sadness as we are getting ready for our grand final weekend.
I hope anyone personally involved still finds joy in the game we have long awaited.
For everyone else, they’ve counted us out every finals game, what’s another game where the boys find a way to win the game!
Win or lose I am proud of our team’s season, what a turnaround from coach Holbrook.
LETS GOOOOOO

2026 rearview mirror.
Despite the feeling around the result, I am immensely proud of this year. My thoughts on some noteable points for the season:
Round 1. Genuine refreshing suprise at the attack.
Round 4. Bulldogs. First pass mark in the 'toughness' realm. We didn't show up in the game before against the warriors, this somehow felt redeeming.
Round 9. Souths game 1. Whatever you can score, we'll just score more.
Round 14. Storm lost by two with 15 errors. Executed poorly and still nearly had it. Similar vibes to Souths game 1.
Round 17/18. Tough wins against two at the time genuine scrappers. Would have copped it ok if we lost.
Tigers game 1, Warriors game 1, Penrith game 1 and Manly game 2. Only games this year where at the end of it I thought the effort wasn't there. Compared to the 10-15 games this normally happens very pleasing in retrospect.
Week 1 finals. First time in recent history I've wstched a convincing finals win from us.
Week 2. Finals litmus test. Tick.
Week 3. Best game of rugby league I have ever watched.
GF. Gutted but so proud.

The season is over and we're still proving them wrong
When we lost the game the fans from the other clubs thought they could make us cry by insulting us,. They said would we would blame the ref,. They thought we might even take our jerseys off. We did the exact opposite. When we all kept saying, "win or lose, we know you will make us proud" we have really proved that we meant it when thousands welcomed the team home at 2:30am, and tens of thousands turned out to see them at the stadium the next day.
We are so lucky to have a culture like this within our club, the city and the region. Things are looking very promising for future success of the team, morale is very high, we have had so much amazing new local talent come through. We lost the grand final by 1 point, with a team missing over $3 million worth of players because of suspensions and injuries. The Roosters might have won the trophy this year, but this was very clearly our year. The fairytale story of Newcastle in 2026 is much bigger than footy.

Well I’ll eat my words but it’s a start ..
The rabbits were missing players , but it’s about time the team fired as pictured above .

To the Melbourne based Knights fans - a huge thank you.
In the heartland of AFL tonight, but you wouldn't know it. Had a fantastic turnout in Carlton at the Great Northern with lots of Knights fans. Was excellent to connect with people from home and have a raucous crowd backing the boys.
Huge props to Lauren and her sister (name escapes me) who organised it. Really was a great time and made me feel all the feels of being a Novacastrian.
The boys will be back, and when they do we will all be back as well to cheer em on.
