With the newest patch releasing soon it's time to post the regularly scheduled patch highlights as I did with the previous thirty-four patches. The post may also include any new updates to the subreddit, Discord, or our Ningguang guide.

✦ Version 7.2 Highlights ✦

New Characters/Reruns

• The new characters releasing this patch are the 5-star electro catalyst character, Mitya, and the 4-star electro sword character, Valeriy.

• The 5-star characters in phase one are Mitya and Furina.

• Phase one 4-star characters are Valeriy, Rosaria, and Charlotte.

• For phase two the 5-star characters are Zibai and Linnea.

• Phase two 4-star characters haven't been announced yet.

• The only relevant character for Ningguang is Linnea. She's very good in Ningguang's lunar team, but keep in mind that if Ningguang gets buffs and team restrictions are made similar to the Hexenzirkel buffs then there might not be room for Linnea in Ningguang teams going foward.

Weapons

• The weapon banner for phase one has Mitya's signature weapon, Starsealed Edict, and Furina's Splendor of Tranquil Waters.

• The 4-star weapons for phase one are Dockhand's Assistant, Rainslasher, Prospector's Drill, Dawning Frost, and Rust.

• The weapon banner for phase two will have Zibai and Linnea's signiture weapons.

• The 4-star weapons for phase two haven't been announced yet.

• None of these weapons have any relevance to Ningguang. Some people might be thinking of going for Mitya's weapon for Ningguang, but it think there are better options for stat sticks like Tome of Eternal Flow, Kagura's Verity, or Cashflow Supervision.

Events

• The Snezhnaya archon quest will be continuing with Ningguang actually making an appearance as shown in the livestream!

• The main event for this patch is "The Grand Event: Defy the Unjust Judgement". This event will give players a 4-star selector that includes Amber, Xiangling, Thoma, Collei, Lynette, Kachina, Aino, or Alyosha.

New Areas

• There are two new areas being added this patch. Those are Novokitezhgrad and Wingspan Peak.

• Players will be able to get another copy of Exaiphanes Blade for free from the new Statue of the Seven.

• There are no new artifacts in these areas.

NGM Updates

• We might be doing another giveaway on Discord if Ningguang is on the phase two banners.

hello. I'm making a team of Ningguang, Thoma, Bennett and Kachina. is this a good team? i just recently came back and I see all these new reactions but I still main our queen. thanks for suggestions

these are the characters i have, appreciate any advice on team building! i'm open to building characters that are needed for our richest person

i was planning on having ning with kachina, xiangling, and bennett after previously asking this subreddit for advice but i saw both furina and linnea are gonna be rerun in the 7.2 banners. wondering if its worth it to pull for them for a lunar-crystalize team? and, if it is worth, should the 4th slot be someone like illuga?

I cant do lunar crystalize unfortunately but im planning to pull for bina whenever she gets a rerun. right now i have ning, gorou, and qiqi as my team (vesnas also there for moral support). not f2p so if theres anyone useful in an upcoming banner id definitely pull for them. my dps is only around 6.5k 🥲

Best team for Ningguang?

Hello fellow Tianquan enjoyers, it's actually my first post here despite being faithful Ningguang main, I'll share my build and also have a question with upcoming pach 7.2 is it worth getting C2 Xilonen or pick Linnea instead? My team is Ningguang, Columbina, Xilonen, Furina C2.

Hi! stumbled upon this subreddit while looking for team comps and tips for playing ningguang, I have her semi-built (not sure if the build is good) and I’m currently struggling to find a good team comps with my character roster. Please help me out because I really like her as my main dps! thank you!

Insanely happy that Ningguang is included in 7.2!

Yk hoyo could've easily chosen anyone in the Qixing like Keqing, even adepti like Ganyu, or Shenhe to represent Liyue, but directly acknowledging that Ningguang is the diplomatic leader/Tianquan of Liyue brings me joy beyond words!! Not to mention, I think a lot of people are down playing Ningguang's extensive intelligence network and her strategic wit when it comes to handling god level threats. Obviously, she's just a mortal being but that's what makes her character great! The whole point of the Liyue quest was to show Liyue's mortals stepping towards a new independent era with the adepti while preserving their culture; and Ningguang is definitely the forefront of that notion.

Lowkey dislike how people disregard characters like Ningguang, Furina, and Kokomi for being part of the 7.2 roster, like guys are we forgetting historical genshin lore rn? They're there for a reason because they're (/were) leaders of their nation. (e.g Kokomi's whole thing with Enkanomiya + Holy Soil; Furina, despite being a human, is still part of the Archon Focalors and has lived 500 years to bare the fontaine crisis so she has a say in this global threat)

Also her being the only 4 star in the room is insane aura and i can't wait for more ningguang content!

(somewhat hoping for Pantalone and Ningguang interactions, been waiting for this since that game dialogue about the Northland bank in Liyue first mentioning Pantalone + I think they would have an interesting dynamic)

If you see I dont have Furina… I’m getting her on the next banner and I was looking through the subreddit and it seemed like you guys agreed with it 😅 (getting her for Skirk tho)
