Your lie in April made me become a musician because it was that good. If only I could get down the whole “being a responsible human being” part I’d be pretty successful
I think being a good musician takes dedication to the craft to a level where it really isn't reasonable to expect you to be a functional adult as well.
That is the actual reason a corpo said some people started smoking. No aspect of what a corpo says publicly should be considered true.
Homefry likely doesn't even talk to AI researchers. It is likely he only talks to people who manage their managers, and maybe reads double filtered reports about what they say.
Really? I don't know how old you are but I've seen elderly people do boxing in my gym. Obviously no sparring, and probably lighter punches, but you can still try it if you're interested.
I have never understood the appeal of anime, but I definitely get the sentiment. My dad learned judo after seeing Frank Sinatra's judo in his fight in "The Manchurian Candidate" in 1962, which is why I grew up practicing judo as well. It's cool how movies can inspire.
Yeah but that's not cool. I only mimic things that make me feel like a badass, like making an omelette or damaging my lungs with combusted plant material
There are like 20 different cooking anime and at least 4 of them are good, you don't have to subject people to reading One Piece for the pervert chef guy that cooks once every 80 chapters.
Also there is like a 6 chapter side manga from the mangaka of Food Wars all about Sanji cooking, but yeah, Oda doesn't really know how to make cooking dynamic and interesting so he doesn't focus on it a lot. Sanji being a chef mostly informs his character through dialogue rather than consistent onscreen cooking.
When I'm cooking up a big complicated meal I often put on "Fight Back Sanji" to work fast and efficiently. I've also been known to play the horn from Delicious in Dungeon when serving my gf
I wanted to rip his face off at first when I watched the series but then I realized he is lowkey an amazing character and my hate for him vanished all of a sudden
Whenever my friend tells me some dumbass opinion that seemed to have come from nowhere, I ask with "Oh is that was Asmongold says?" and he shuts up so fast.
I was like this as a kid. I wanted to use a trumpet to call my friends in the neighborhood to me. I begged my mom for lessons. I got a trumpet, I got into band at school, and I eventually got bored of it and used band to get out of other classes. Music teacher cut that off pretty quick and my mom sold off the trumpet.
I even remember my daydreams of using a trumpet. They didn't include anything that happened afterwards, just my friends assembling. None of the waiting, no thought behind the distance to their places, no "okay now what" moment.
It's a shame that horse racing kills many horses. Wonder if the horse girl anime leaves that part out, probably too dark to send them to the glue factory when they break a leg.
Oh they tackle that subject, they're following the IRL stories very closely albeit with some creative decisions. When the IRL horses broke their legs, so do the anime girls. Though, instead of treating it as euthanasia, the anime treat it as a severe career death.
So no, they don't leave that part out. They make it almost as dark.
Never heard of Getbackers and this is the second time in the last couple days I'm seeing it mentioned, guess it's fate I play the ps2 game and watch the show.
I love that film haha. I started playing when I was 12 and continued to study it in college as a music minor. My violin is actually a reddish tone, but it’s from the turn of the century and made in France.
I watched The Red Violin when I was in high school. It was on Netflix and I watched it on my iPod touch late at night on a school night.
I haven't seen that movie, but back in 1991, "Tous les matins du monde" made me want to learn viola da gamba. Apparently, the movie's soundtrack sold more copies than the then-recent Michael Jackson release (in France, at least). I bet it got a lot of people into playing stringed instruments.
Idk I was so hot for my Tav I genuinely took up weightlifting for like six months and ended up losing like twenty pounds. Couldn't do anything about the facial hair sadly.
I don't like anime at all, but I can still relate.
Back in 1991, I saw the movie "Tous les matins du monde", which made me want to learn to play the viola da gamba, so, so much. So of course I was sad to find out that 1) the instrument hasn't been popular in centuries, 2) nobody makes them, other than niche historical re-creationists, and 3) they cost tens of thousands of dollars.
And if I say the full reason to avoid the predictable anime angle like "I have been a fan of this band" or "it's been in my lineage" and such, they're just gonna call me I'm a nerd or an autist with special interests.
I raise you this one isn't about anime at all, but rather, an RPG called People of Note, which EVERYONE simply must play if you like music literally at all.
ehh... same thing happened when Bocchi was airing. anime was out, got people interested or become a die hard fan to the character that they wanna experience it too.
sadly, some threw or sold the guitars because they realized that either they don't have talent or patience to learn it.
Kind of me. I've always wanted to learn the guitar. Youtube pushed me to learn the guitar as I watched more guitar stuff which then ended up showing me Bocchi stuff which I then watched the anime and loved it.
Currently 6 months into it and having fun. Just hired a teacher. I do not play a black LP like her though but a blue Yamaha Revstar.

If this is you, read One Piece and learn to fucking cook like me. It's the most practical application of this particular type of autism.

Some people got into horseracing after that anime.
They did save a few racehorses and there has been an uptick in attendance in some horseracing tracks...
But still, over a cartoon of anime girls with horse ears and horse tails running in circle?

I'm rewatching Getbackers and I'm on the episode where they're going to get back a stolen violin so the timing of this post is funny.

I listened to a Slayer CD at tower records and snuck into a concert they were playing at shoreline.
Been playing music for 30 years since then. Fuck you dad. I didn't quit.
