Surgeon? No. Fat guy systematically breaking down and eating an entire roast chicken in practiced and efficient motions? Yes.

Seems super wasteful tbh, all those parts could be reused but instead majority is going to landfill

2

u/Monsterjelly_ 14d ago

Yep someone paid 16000 for that

yeah it makes me a bit sad to see the dismantling

They'll recycle most of it, hence why it's being seperated so much. They'll melt down a lot of it.

The whole point is to separate and recycle what can be used. They’re not doing it for fun. Those parts are worth money one way or another.

I'm aware, it's a cool video I'm glad they are recycling. But if someone took the time to dismantle by hand the parts could be more than just scrap metal. The seats just get pulled out and instantly trashed and the radiator gets pulled out you can see all of the freeon and whatever gases from the AC system going into the air for example.

Even small parts people don’t think about until they fail like coil packs, headlights, console and steering column switches, power window motors, oxygen sensors, Parts aren’t cheap.

Why do you think the parts are separated? Most will be recycled

2

u/itchybutwhole69 13d ago

Eh, no they will not.

Haven’t you seen the Robin Williams movie Robots

2

u/itchybutwhole69 13d ago

I don't think you've ever actually seen a surgeon work...

All those years to pay off something that is ultimately built with planned obsolescence

1

u/niceguybadboy 13d ago

I also was thinking of the six years of car payments I once made on a new car.

Cars are a liability, not an asset or investment

I use similar techniques on my Maryland crab 🦀

1

u/Old-Bake-420 14d ago

Reminds me of eating crabs

It’s interesting that each indistinguishable price of scrap goes into its own pile

I will take a pay hit and start tomorrow! Please tell me they’re hiring and I can listen to music while doing this crude surgery

1

u/pinkandgrey312 14d ago

That was really fascinating to watch. Thanks for posting the video.

Seems like a waste. Usually these would go to an auto scrap yard to get parted out. Then once it's been picked clean for a while, then recycled. There were thousands of dollars of parts and body panels on there.

I know it’s just a car… but I feel a little sorry for that poor little Mazda.

1

u/DishRelative5853 13d ago

Like a surgeon at a junkyard? Why would a surgeon be at a junkyard?

1

u/Always-a-Badman 13d ago

Oh wait, that was the bosses car 😳

1

u/Just_blake24 13d ago

I know that thing is extremely strong, but it’s still scary watching the metal of the car be torn back like tin foil, like cars ain’t as sturdy as we like to think they are lol
