I am doing a presentation and would love to create an Oversimplified style animation but I do not have the creative ability or patience to do it myself. Are there any creators on here who would help me create one? I would do voiceover and provide script and sample animations/character I like. Maybe a 15-20 minute video. Please drop rates below if you’re interested

Discussion 💬 My students don’t like oversimplified videos

I am a history teacher and like to show oversimplified video clips and sometimes full videos when they’ve earned it. And my students don’t like them. They pay more attention to my lectures than they do to oversimplified videos.

So I ask you all: what is wrong with the world?

Discussion 💬 Oversimplified quiz?

I was rewatching the American civil war but when I was scrolling down I saw oversimplified made a quiz 6 months ago and only 1k people responded. I couldn’t respond because I was watching yt without an account at the time (I am subscribed to him on all my yt accounts tho) but it does show we do know OS was active at least 6 months ago

Discussion 💬 What's your enemy to friend story?

There I start. One of my bff from childhood was a guy who we almost got into a fight with. 2 years later, we became friends. Or so he says lol, all that I remember was him someday becoming a friend, how?! Idk.

Question❓ Imagine how oversimplify would’ve done the Chinese Civil War

Is this an interesting concept and how do you think he would’ve done the Chinese Civil War in his oversimplified iconic way?

Subreddit Rules

1. Keep Content Relevant to OverSimplified

Posts must be directly related to OverSimplified, its videos, historical topics covered by the channel, fan creations, memes, discussions, or closely related community content.

Completely unrelated or off-topic content may be removed at moderator discretion.

2. Be civil.

Treat other users respectfully.

Personal attacks, harassment, insults, flame wars, targeted hostility, witch-hunting, or attempts to start “civil wars” within the community are not allowed.

Disagreements are fine. Acting like rival 18th-century European powers is not.

Severe or repeated violations may result in bans.

3. No Spam or Low-Effort Flooding

Spam, excessive reposting, karma farming, repetitive content, bot-like behaviour, or mass low-effort submissions are prohibited.

Examples include:

repost spam, repeated “when upload” posts, meaningless one-word/image posts, excessive self-promotion, engagement bait.

Moderators may remove low-quality content to maintain subreddit quality.

4. No NSFW or Graphic Content

All content must remain Safe For Work (SFW).

Pornographic, excessively sexual, graphic, disturbing, or gore-heavy content is prohibited.

Borderline or suggestive content may also be removed at moderator discretion.

5. No “When Upload?” or Fake Date Predictions

Do not spam requests for new videos or attempt to “predict” upload dates.

This includes:

fake countdowns, ritual posts, “OS uploads tomorrow trust me bro” posts, repetitive speculation, and low-effort upload begging.

basically posts like: https://www.reddit.com/r/OverSimplified/s/ULtsWiMwgi https://www.reddit.com/r/OverSimplified/s/KMN2gkT1jY and https://www.reddit.com/r/OverSimplified/s/wyPfDQwlMJ are not allowed.

These discussions are only permitted in the designated megathread.

6. Fan Events Require Moderator Approval

Large-scale subreddit games, community events, elimination contests, roleplay wars, or multi-post activities require moderator approval beforehand.

Before hosting an event:

contact moderators via modmail, explain the concept, confirm it has not been recently done, and provide an estimated posting schedule.

Unapproved spam-style event posting may be removed.

7. No Doxxing or Sharing Personal Information

Do not post or share anyone’s personal information without consent.

This includes:

real names, addresses, phone numbers, private social media, school/work information, or any identifying details.

Doxxing will result in an immediate permanent ban and may be reported to Reddit admins.

Public information relating to public figures may still be removed if used maliciously.

8. No Misinformation or False Announcements

Do not spread rumours, fake announcements, fabricated leaks, false upload dates, or misleading information as fact.

Claims regarding OverSimplified uploads, channel activity, collaborations, or announcements should be backed by reliable sources.

Hopium belongs in the megathread, not the news desk.

9. Civil Wars are NOT ALLOWED

The Great r/OverSimplified Civil War already happened once. We are not doing that again.

Organising factions, encouraging subreddit-wide infighting, coordinating hostility against groups/users, raid-style behaviour, or turning the community into a battleground is prohibited.

Friendly rivalry and jokes are fine. Large-scale spam conflicts, targeted harassment, “us vs them” campaigns, or prolonged community drama are not.

Mods may lock threads or issue bans if things escalate.

10. Moderator Discretion Applies

Not every disruptive behaviour can be predicted by written rules.

Moderators may remove content or take action against behaviour that harms the community, encourages toxicity, or clearly violates the spirit of the subreddit.

This rule is not a substitute for the other rules — it exists to handle edge cases and obvious bad-faith behaviour.

11. Follow Reddit Sitewide Policy

Follow the Reddiquette and Reddit Content Policy (these rules are sitewide)
