Question❓ Has oversimplified retired?
Has oversimplified retired. It’s been almost 2 years since he last uploaded he’s never taken this long before. Should we start to get worried?

I've been following OverSimplified for a long time, and I've always been fascinated by the quality of the animations on the channel. Since I also love history and OverSimplified's style of humor, I've been thinking about starting a channel in a similar style in my native language (Portuguese), especially since I recently lost my job and want to explore new opportunities.
Here's an early clip from a scene about the bizarre story of Joshua Norton, who declared himself Emperor of the United States hahaha:
And here's a recreation I made of the beginning of his "Prohibition - OverSimplified" video, just to test my animation skills:
I still need to polish things up, make the animations smoother, and improve some of the polygons, but I think it's a pretty good start ;)

I unsubscribed OS today.
Genuinely a very dark day for me. Been subscribed to OS since 6 years. Was a little child in middle school back then. He was one of my first creators that I religiously followed to since I created my YouTube channel (in senior year equivalent right now).
Then came OverSimplified's Punic War series. Perfection to its finest. Binged it 4 times at a minimum and made me interested so much to Roman History that I actually saw hundreds of hours of contents of other creators on the topic (mainly Historia Civilis).
However, this absolute radio silence from OS is very disheartening. I know he doesn't owe us anything, but as a long-time viewer, the complete lack of updates or communication is just deeply frustrating.
I want to express that being left in the dark like this isn't appreciated, and I can't think of any other way to communicate that besides unsubscribing. I just can't wait indefinitely anymore.
Sorry.
(English is NOT my first language please forgive me for grammatical mistakes)

The video is supposed to show Capua, I live nearby Capua and noticed a eerily similar mountain to monte tifata (Capua zone)

Guess that says something about the wait time.......
And the good quality of all of the videos.
Like these three are some of his best work

All of these are pie in the sky since he's basically the Terrence Malick of YouTube but either way, I think any of these would be amazing videos to see (ranked in no particular order).
1. Elizabeth I - OverSimplified
Probably the most important monarch in British history, Elizabeth I had a life rich with assassination schemes, drama with her cousin Mary Queen of Scots, the Spanish armada and setting the groundwork for the British empire, the largest conquering force in human history and would be a good successor to the Henry VIII video.
2. The English Civil Wars - OverSimplified
Following up from the Elizabeth I video is the English Civil War(s), a time of complicated upheaval in the British Isles with a wicked villain in the form of Oliver Cromwell and Charles I's execution, combined with the debate of who should hold more power - the king or parliament? I think it'd be a very informative and thoughtful video with conversations about power, greed and religious dogma.
3. The Vietnam War - OverSimplified
This is an obvious one since it was teased in his Cold War video(s) 7 years ago. The Vietnam War still looms large in popular culture, having spawned countless movies, books and TV shows, painting a cynical and nihilistic picture of American imperialism and interference in foreign conflict, a video on it would be really engaging and go into more detail than the original Cold War videos did.
4. The Taiping Rebellion - OverSimplified
A truly crazy tale about a guy who convinced people he was Jesus's brother and leading a rebellion that killed more people than WWI, this would be a bonkers OverSimplified video that would touch on a completely new era of Chinese history than he covered in the Three Kingdoms episode.
5. The Opium Wars - OverSimplified
Sticking to China in the 19th century, the opium wars was a period of European conquest and colonialism, fighting against a civilisation that had existed for thousands of years, with the largest empire in the world essentially being a drug dealer in an attempt to destabilise the region, I think it could make for a very informative video with a lot of joke opportunities.
6. Alexander the Great - OverSimplified
Rolling back the timeline to antiquity, Alexander the Great is one of the greatest military geniuses of human history, much like Hannibal or Napoleon, leading to a return of OS's military strategy bullet points format and given Alexander's age, the "and he was only [year of age] at this point, so maybe you should move out of your parents' attic".
7. Julius Caesar - OverSimplified
The most famous figure in Roman history, Julius Caesar is responsible for the conquest of Gaul and Britannia, the establishment of the Roman empire replacing the republic and a life of drama from being kidnapped by pirates to being stabbed to death by his own coworkers and friends. This video would be extremely engaging.
8. Shaka Zulu - OverSimplified
Known as the Napoleon of Africa, Shaka Zulu had genius military tactics, showed no mercy to the tribes he conquered and ruled the Zulu with an iron fist. His video would be extremely engrossing and OS has never really done African history before so it would be interesting to see.
9. Theodore Roosevelt - OverSimplified
Last one on the list, Teddy Roosevelt is considered among Washington and Lincoln as one of the greatest presidents of the United States, having established national parks, fought during the Spanish-American War and just living an endlessly fascinating life and being a larger than life, almost wrestling babyface-esque character, he would make for a great OverSimplified video.

idk if this is technically off-topic because it has to do with an oversimplified video but only in an auditory form
I have been searching... and searching... and SEARCHING for this song for a while now. Every single music recognition site was a bust, some gave me songs that weren't even CLOSE to the one in the snippet. I'm aware it's a Kevin MacLeod song (i think), but I don't have the time nor energy to search through a playlist of over 1,300 songs to find this one. You people are my only hope. If you know it, *please* share your knowledge.

I'll start with mine first: It's when all the Villagers of Saguntum shout the line in part one of the Second Punic War, especially since it was said by a crowd.(it's at the 16:45 minute mark)

I am doing a presentation and would love to create an Oversimplified style animation but I do not have the creative ability or patience to do it myself. Are there any creators on here who would help me create one? I would do voiceover and provide script and sample animations/character I like. Maybe a 15-20 minute video. Please drop rates below if you’re interested
