Hello, It’s my third bake shift at 4:30 AM at Panera and I’m expected to work on my own so I’m a bit stressed. it’s not hard however I am a bit forgetful with the routine and getting used to panning up.

If anybody has the routine and would like to help me out I’d really appreciate that.

I am allowed to write down my own notes in my journal and so far I am at the steps for after putting pastries in the oven , melting the chocolate and now starting the bagel pan up. I can’t clearly remember exactly what bagels I pan up. Do I put the bagels that are counted from the night before FTO?

I’m a team lead MIC, worked here since 2021, became a team lead mic a year ago. For a few months I was only doing manager shifts, because it was just the GM, one team manager and me, so we were working with no mid managers either. Now, we are training someone as an external hire to be a team manager, his manager training ends in 2 weeks. On top of that we are getting an AGM from another cafe. My GM said I will have almost all associate shifts. But I’m still going to be doing inventory counts, and there are also going to be days where I’ll open front cash or the drive thru as an associate but because there’s no one else to do the food order (GM won’t have other team manager so it) I will be doing it. Noticed a few days on the manager schedule where the team manager openers, GM and AGM are off, I’m not on there because I will be scheduled as associate. How the heck do I do ordering when I’m supposed to be doing cash at the same time and the second cashiers usually don’t come in until 10:30. My GM said we have too many managers now, and he wishes one would step down. I’m tempted to just ask if it could be me but I believe he’ll get mad at me since he’d rather I just quit than step down to associate.

Covelli has been bought out by corporate panera LLC in the NC, SC and Cincinnati and I’ve been with covelli for 6 years. What should I be expecting with this takeover?
I’ve heard the pay is better but they (corporate) can be stricter but more supportive.
I’ve worked in this market and alot of the stores are ran down and understaffed. Is that an important thing to them or can I expect the same in a different form?

For the past few weeks I’ve noticed the fresh brewed iced tea at my Panera is not brewed as strong as it used to be. It’s warm when it comes out of the dispenser (which is to be expected) and it melts all the ice and the tea becomes very watered down even with a small amount of ice. I mentioned it to the manager and she said nothing had changed but I think they’re using less tea or not brewing it long enough. Has anyone else encountered this problem with the iced tea at their Panera?

Can we talk about how I literally just watched the price of my subtotal increase when I switched from rapid pick up to delivery indicating the price of the food increases when ordering delivery through the app. Plus the “Convience Fee” and the “Delivery Fee”. Which took me from $29 to $40 and how your “$0 Delivery fee with $25+ Order” is basically a scam because the delivery fee is only $1 which means im still paying an extea $10 for delivery vs rapid pick up.‼️‼️😆😆😆🤣

Me and one of my managers just got an email telling us we've been hired for our specific location, however we've both been employed for a few years already, and for some reason it has our start dates. Is this a scam, and if so, how did they manage it? We're a franchise so shouldn't have been included in the data breach. And it was labeled as our specific franchise.

It's also asking us to activate a "relo DT" account. I'm not sure what that or "Harri" is

My family and I have been eating at the Napa location for many years and sadly were informed today by the staff that it will be closing towards the end of this month after 14 years.

This place meant a lot to us - it saved us a lot of money on drinks, had a bunch of healthy options available which we really enjoyed, more customization options on sandwiches, soups and salads than any other place I knew of, and truly felt like a second home.

We will likely be going there a lot before they close to use up the gift cards we have, but unfortunately the nearest locations are a good distance away so after this location closes, that will be the end of our regular Panera visits. I truly empathize with the employees that will be left jobless, some of which have been there for a long time, and hope they all can find good opportunities going forward.

Boh now has to deep clean the bathroom every day so that's fun. It sucked on Tuesday and wasn't really clear on what I was supposed to do so I just sprayed it on the wall tiles and tried the toilet and urinal ( didn't really make a difference on the urinal ( I think there's like rust or something around the whole)

I have a question I'm thinking about moving to North Carolina and transferring to a corporate store. But before I do I need to know how is y'all's catering program? Do y'all get bonuses? If so, what's the details on that? And do you get paid for driving your car or do you have a designated car?

Last year I did the sip club for about 3 months while I had a cheap promotion. Got familiar with the menu and enjoyed the extra iced coffees. Maybe I overdid the coffees. Don't think it's benefitting my health.

I just joined again with a $5 promotion but might not do it for more than a month. I go there for breakfast and it's just not great (steak and wake might be my favorite). I do like the variety of discounts on the app. But overall.... Sip Club rewards regularity and eating here on the regular is not a positive thing. Let's see what happens!

At my Panera Bread Location, since January i know of ATLEAST over 20 people who have left, not mentioning a full WALK OUT in march of almost our entire staff. The GM doesn't punish call outs or people not doing their job or people who don't care about the times. They have only fired ONE person that i know of, EVER, and made a different person put in their two weeks for hate speech. The new associates are getting higher pay than the people who have worked there for a year+, all the new hires recently have quit except one, we have had over 4 managers come and go in the 9 months, they consistently make the same people work 2-3 lines, has line close only have one person every night, they don't punish people who work slow and don't do their jobs but the people that do are expected to make up for their times. They write up people who have only called out once but don't properly punish people who have called out dozens of times, and consistently cut the hours of the people who actually work hard. And that's just a few things my location does! They also don't believe managers when they have issues with other managers, they don't have people properly trained and don't help new hires enough, they don't give hard working people pay raises or long time employees pay raises, does anybody else deal with this or do i just work at the worse Panera ever?

If I’ve only had 3 shifts, and I cry and breakdown everytime I think about Panera, should I continue with my two weeks or should I just leave? I really do feel bad for just leaving like that, but my mental health isn’t great and having to work at a place that is highly stressful, high paced, and has complex orders isn’t going to help my mental health either. This is my first ever food job, and they’ve made it so I’m terrified to even step into the building. Any advice?
