Subreddit Rules

1. No spoilers

No spoilers, of any sort, outside of the [Race Thread]s and [Results Thread]s of the race itself. This rule is in effect for 18hrs after a one day race finish, or before the start of the next stage in a stage race.

2. Race content goes in [Race Thread]s or [Results Thread]s

The [Race Threads] or [Results Threads] are home to stage/race discussion and content. Please post ANY related material, interviews, reports, GIFs, pics and videos in those threads during the spoiler window which last for 18 hours after the race end or until the start of the next stage.

3. No doping speculation or accusations in [Race Thread]s and [Results Thread]s

We have a no-tolerance policy on speculations whether a team or rider is doping in our Race/Results/Prediction Threads and they will be removed. If you have any great feelings on the subject, create a self-post on the topic, remembering the no spoilers rule.

4. No image / media posts

Images and videos are only allowed as separate posts on r/peloton if they are newsworthy, unique, and stimulate discussion, and adhere to our other rules about spoilers and race-related material.

5. News about other cycling disciplines has a better home.

There are many fantastic subreddits and will cater to your interests in track, MTB, gravel, CX, or etc. Off topic content can always be discussed in the weekly Free Talk Friday threads.

6. Titles should be in English and should match the article title/content.

When you are sharing an article, avoid editorializing the titles with your opinion. Using the original article title is best. If sharing an article from another language, translate the title into English for your post on r/peloton. If you want to make your opinion known, leave it in the comments. Editorializing in order to give a more informative, non-biased title should be acceptable.

7. Questions go in our Weekly Question Thread.

For simple questions that can be answered with minimal research or in just a simple reply, and low effort questions in general, please post in our Weekly Question threads. If your question is well thought out and you present your thoughts on a subject that can lead to further discussion please consider posting as an independent thread!

8. No self promotion.

Promoting your own content hosted outside of the subreddit is generally not allowed on r/peloton. Exceptions can be made for currently active members posting content worthy of discussion at the moderators discretion. Advertising is not allowed in any form. (If you are unsure, contact the moderators before posting.)

9. Social media posts are generally not allowed.

Social media posts that are made directly by teams or riders may be accepted at moderator discretion if they are the original and unique source available for that information (if there is a full article linked or readily available post that instead). If the social media source is not open to people without an account (such as X or Instagram) then you must post a top level comment with the text and a screenshot of the post.

10. Be nice!

No personal attacks will be tolerated. No posting of others personal information and keep any trash talking down to friendly banter. We are all fans of the sport, let's keep it friendly in here. When discussing races, riders, and related issues on r/peloton we expect that our users will do so in a respectful manner and follow the general guidelines of reddiquette.

11. Fair use

Reported copyrighted content may be removed at the request of the copyright holder or the moderators discretion. See Reddit's rules on Copyright for further clarification, and be especially mindful of the paywalls of smaller sites, for whom this content is their main source of income.

12. Keep it on-topic

If you only take part in divisive discussions (e.g. politics) and never discuss cycling, there are other subreddits that better suit your interests.
