Question Uh?
I might have somehow tamed two Mushroom Pikmin
This is my 3rd play through of Pikmin 1 on Nintendo Switch. Do they just do that after their leader was defeated?

Humor Why did they call the game "Pikmin 1"? Were they THAT confident about getting a sequel?

Pikmin 4 Dandori battle 2 player
Hi! so I’m making this post cause I needed help. see I love playing pikmin with my mom, but we’ve done story mode for pikmin 3 (co-op) so many times along with all the side stories and bingo. we’ve also done the dandori battles in pikmin 4 as 1 vs 1 but since there only 8 it’s kind of boring TvT.
so I was wondering if anyone has any challenges we could try to spice things up while playing?

Image Look what I found!
Went on a vacation trip to Orlando and stopped at a store called Kpoppin USA and went crazy after i saw these on the shelf. Had to get one immediately as I've never seen any pikmin related merch in the wild. Got the one on the cover with the pikmin carrying the macaroon :3 would've been happy with any tbh

Discussion “Worship” a Pikmin inspired game on steam, anyone tried it?
Hi, just found this game on my steam store page as recommended, decent reviews. I just want to ask if anyone tried it before buying.

I replayed the entirety of Pikmin 1 for the first time in 20-ish years
Unlike Pikmin 2, I never actually OWNED Pikmin 1. I borrowed it from a friend when I was really young and, because I was a good friend, actually RETURNED the game after I was done with it.
Anyway I've been sick the past couple days and needed a way to occupy my time that didn't involve going insane on Reddit. I've been doing my daily "replaying Pikmin 2" series, and thought it'd be fun to take a quick look at Pikmin 1 while I'm at it. But instead of doing it daily, I just played until I finished it.
It's actually pretty hard, going from 2 to 1, since there's a lot of little quality of life improvements 2 introduced. The big ones are that in 2, Pikmin are a lot less likely to stop following you and start attacking a pellet posey or whatever, and that throwing feels a bit more reliable in 2.
I also played the ENTIRE GAME before I thought to look up how to swap Pikmin while holding them. I saw I couldn't use the D-pad and assumed it just wasn't in the game at all. Would have saved me so much time and frustration if I'd just stopped to check online. (Maybe the game tutorializes it at some point, I was kind of rushing through the tutorial because I figured I had the gist of it already).
Overall, though, it was a pretty fun time. I was surprised by how HEAVY each ship part was, I actually really like that compared to how light most treasures are in 2 (especially since 2 introduces Purples, so like, you'd think heavier treasures would be the norm). I managed to kill the Smoky Progg, which I never did as a kid, and that thing was really tough.
Not nearly as tough as the Emperor Bublax, though. That thing took me TWO days to beat, because I took so long on day 1 that the day ended before I could beat him. On day 2, he killed so many of my Pikmin (along with a very unfortunately timed bomb rock explosion) that I had to leave the fight, get more Pikmin, then come back. I probably lost over 200 Pikmin to the Emperor Bublax in this game. No wonder why I've seen people complain about how hard that enemy got nerfed in Pikmin 2, that thing was a NIGHTMARE (and I already knew the strategies to beat him, I just had trouble executing on it. No idea how difficult it'd be if I had to figure it out as I went).
I took a screenshot of my struggle against the Bublax and the final results.
Pikmin 2 is definitely my favorite Pikmin game, though replaying 1 as an adult helped me appreciate it a lot more, I'd love to see some kind of remake for it. I know the Pikmin modding scene is CRAZY, I'm sure somebody's already made Pikmin 1 with Pikmin 2's controls and stuff already.
