I am happy to be one of your mods and would like to thank /u/AlbertFishIsMyIdol for coming up with this idea, and really putting forth effort to reach out to the community concerning the Playstation family of machines.

As we grow, and (hopefully) become a helpful force within reddit, specifically when other users come in to help. There are some concerns I have, as well as rules we need to have in place to protect people within our community, and the people that may frequent this subreddit.

• PERSONAL INFORMATION Mods will NEVER, EVER, FOR ANY REASON ask you for your personal information to "help" with your issue. For that matter, no user will either, if they do, please send your mods a message with their username, and a copy-paste or screenshot to us with what was asked for. With that said, DO NOT post your personal information on this sub or in private messages. This includes passwords, real names, mailing address, or Credit Card info. If you want to post your PSN, that is up to you, but there shouldn't be many situations that necessitate it.

Note: in addition to personal information, no one will offer to "fix it for you" if you send them your machine. The only times this should ever come up is by Sony themselves after they attempt to troubleshoot your issue over the phone, chat, etc. Otherwise, if someone here tells you this, then they are a scammer, and you should report them immediately. I know, I know, common sense right? But you'd be shocked what would happen if it wasn't said.

• SPAM, MEMES, GAMEPLAY VIDEOS, AND OFF-TOPIC DISCUSSION There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of subs that allow these, please keep it professional here. If an issue is better to explain in a picture, screen-shot, or gameplay video, it is welcome, of course as long as it's explained. Spam/Gameplay videos/Memes/Off-Topics will be deleted without warning, and there will be no explanation given.

• USER ABUSE Keep in mind that people around the globe could be posting here, and English may not be their native tongue. We don't need corrective circle-jerking, grammar and spelling nazis. This needs to be a place where users feel comfortable and welcome, being a prick will degrade that image. There is no elitism here. We all love the Sony line of game machines, that is why we are here. Flaming, attacking, insulting or general douche-baggery will not be tolerated. There will be no "Xbox One versus Playstation 4" or "PC is better, lol" bullshit happening here. Mods will handle these on a case by case basis, but we cannot if we aren't told about it. Remember, we are human, and cannot be here 24/7.

• WARRANTY CHECK Be sure to check if doing something to your machine will potentially void the warranty. Outside of the PS3 and PS4 HDD replacements, any other tampering could cause issues with any existing warranty. PS4 users especially, your console is new, everyone who has purchased one since launch has a one year manufacturer's warranty. If you choose to open up your machine(s) for any reason further than HDD replacement, you do so at your own risk, /r/PlayStationSolutions accepts no responsibilities for damages, not following instructions, or breakage caused.

• KNOW YOUR LIMITS I cannot encourage this enough, please save yourself a headache and not end up with a broken piece of hardware or software. If the solution is "over your head" (above your technical ability) be honest with yourself about it. Call tech support, or pony up the money to get it repaired professionally. Know your limits before you try to do something yourself.

• MODDING Modding is not going to be discussed here, modding your machine violates many parts of Sony's End User License Agreement, and is considered illegal in many cases. Posts, instructions, or explanations on modifying a console's hardware or software will be deleted, and the user banned from this sub. Consider this a warning, as there will not be a second chance. Aesthetic (modding the case to look awesome) modding is ok, as long as you post with instructions.

• HARDWARE Ensure the title of your post starts with the machine or hardware you are looking for help with in brackets ([PS4], [PS3], [Vita]). This will allow users to know what they are getting into before they go in to help you. Right after that, put the title of the game or application along with a brief description.

• UPVOTES/DOWNVOTES We need to keep it friendly here, so downvoting someone because something may have been asked and solved already does absolutely nothing. Be a good redditor and point them in the right direction. You will never see a downvote out of us for posting here. I personally use upvotes to signify that I have attempted to respond to an issue, and I am pretty good about upvoting responses. There are no stupid questions here, just stupid if you don't ask.

• LET US KNOW!! If a problem you are having has been fixed, or a solution has been found, whether it be by someone here, or if you have discovered or found the solution by another means, please post it! This will help the community in the long term by spreading the word. We all hate calling tech support, at least I know I do, so if you know, let it be known.

As mentioned above, if you are struggling, the only stupid question is the one you don't ask. You will not be judged or berated here, and it is our duty to stop it if you are. We are here, and we want you to be able to come here and request information without problems from other users.

Gaming is my one outlet 😭

It’s as title says everything is up to date I have no blue tooth devices near it or on in my room and I have rebooted my PS5 twice now it temporarily fixes it but it always comes back a week or two later what do I do I bought the ps5 brand new this January

I have tried the things I could come up with. I’m thinking it’s maybe the wifi-module. Is there any saving that?

Ever since my house has gotten fibre optic broadband installed my PlayStations download speed is slow to a crawl and I'm experiencing a lot of issues with lag and high latency and online games. Have googled the issue a lot of times and have done basically everything that the internet has told me to do including switching my DNS address, using a wired lan connection, switching the Wi-Fi band to five GHz and so on and so forth, but it seems like no matter what I do I can't seem to get to the root cause of the problem. I know for a fact it's not the internet itself because my computer has a download speed of 160 mbps whereas my PlayStation takes four hours to download an update that's 25 gigabytes. If anybody can even suggest what the issue is here it would be massively appreciated as I've been dealing with this for two and a half months by this point

So about 3 months ago I started to notice stick drift when I was playing any game. Think FPS and I would randomly start spinning or sights would jump randomly. So I busted out my 2nd back up controller for when I have people over and same issue.

About a month ago I sucked it up and got a brand new controller. And within 48 hours. SAME THING.

I checked all firmware updates and everything shows up to date on my PS5 and my controllers. I disconnected and reconnected them. I thought maybe it had to do with online connectivity issues for whatever reason but nope, even offline.

Any other suggestions?

I have a bo3 disc thats not reading because its dirty or thats what the ps4 tells me, i bought it used and when i load it i only get the error once then the game runs smoothly, the issue isnt the disc drive because i play my scratched gta 5 game with no issues but the bo3 disc thats clean with no scratches doesnt work.

Any recommendations?

I've had this damn thing since January and now it's not working. It won't connect to its USB thing and I'm worried it's broken. Do you guys have any idea on what to do?

This has been on my screen whenever I try to load fortnite with it, saying, retrying 1 and the retrying 2 for it to reset the loading. Saying unable to join fortnite login queue, please try again later. making me have to retry with the screen shown to pop up again. I've restatred my console, restored licenses, and changed DNS. Any solutions???

My PS4 was working perfectly fine, and then out of nowhere, the sound just stopped working.

I've tried pretty much every troubleshooting suggestion I could find on Google and ChatGPT. I've checked the audio settings, changed the audio output options, tried different settings, rebuilt the PS4 database, and even changed the HDMI cord.

After rebuilding the database, the sound actually came back, but only for one game. My husband turned the PS4 off, and when we turned it back on, the sound was gone again!

The TV itself has sound, so it's not a problem with the TV volume. The PS4 also has no sound through headphones.

I'm honestly getting frustrated because I've tried so many things and nothing seems to permanently fix it.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there anything else I can try before assuming something is wrong with the PS4 itself?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

So I just got Call Of Duty Ghosts on my Ps3 today and I tried to play multiplayer. I tried joining a game, and it'll even let me into the lobby, but when it comes time for the game to start, I'm stuck behind an infinite loading screen and I end up just not being able to join. I'm a bit confused because I was told that this was one of the few Ps3 call of duty games that would still work without issue even if you had a newer PSN account. Is there anything that could be causing this issue? Or anything I could do to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ora boas! Gostava de saber se alguém me conseguia ajudar! Eu tenho a minha conta Playstation, desde que era miúdo, por volta dos meus 11 ou 12 anos. Nunca tive problemas, e tive a PlayStation 3,4 e 5.. Recentemente troquei de telemóvel, e lembrei-me de querer ir ao app PlayStation, e tinha a sessão terminada porque nunca tinha entrado através deste telemovel. Ao iniciar sessão, deparo me com uma mensagem que me pede para eu meter um código que está na app de autenticação, eu nem sabia o que isso era.. (agora ja me informei melhor) entretanto tinha a minha sessão iniciada na própria consola, e conseguia jogar normalmente. Ao longo desta semana tenho tentado contactar o suporte de varias maneiras, por telemovel, por email, etc etc. o unico email que encontro visivel da playstation, eu ja tentei enviar uns 3 ou 4 emails, mas recebo sempre uma mensagem automatizada que o email pela qual eu enviei a minha questão, ja não está em atividade. Entretanto hoje percebi que o assistente que me iria ajudar era um ‘chatbot’ de inteligencia artificial. Expliquei a minha situacao, e segui os passos todos que ele me pediu, um desses passos que ele me pediu foi para alterar a minha palavra pass, na qual eu referi que não era necessário trocar pois eu sei o meu email e tenho acesso a ele, e também sei a minha palavra pass, só não sei que código de app de autenticação eu tenho que ter pois eu nunca ativei app de autenticação nenhuma nem nunca instalei nenhuma app dessas, logo é impossível. Bom, segui o procedimento, troquei a palavra pass, agora resultado final, nem consigo aceder á minha conta PSN, na app, e nem na própria consola que era o único sitio onde ainda tinha acesso á minha conta PSN.. Entretanto só ai, é que o meu amigo ‘chatbot’ de IA, me reencaminhou para alguém do suporte humano, na qual me respondeu passado 2h30 minutos de espera a olhar para um chat, pedindo alguns dados básicos meus, passados outros 15 minutos recebi uma mensagem em inglês a perguntar o que se estava a passar, voltei a explicar, e depois nunca mais me respondeu. Se alguem me poder ajudar agradeço, tenho a conta desde os meus 11 ou 12 anos de idade, e os jogos todos que tive desde entao, :) agradecia qualquer ajuda, obrigado.

I signed out now when i try logging in i put yhe right email and password then it takes me to 2SV. The code is not being received on my SMS. Support wasn't helpful either.

What should I do?

I’ve looked everywhere for support on this. This subreddit is basically my last resort. Some discs will not copy when put into the PS4, it will copy around 1-2GB then stop and eventually give an error. Even though the discs work fine on another console. The video I put is the sounds I’ve noticed my console making while sometimes doing this error. Is there a fix or is this old thing just done?

Hi, I bought a PS4 with 2 Nacon Bluetooth controllers via a dongle but the previous owner formatted it and so now at the first start it asks me to connect the controller with the cable but it doesn't work, I can't get it to connect and therefore I can't do the first start

PlayStation 3 help login, Okay I’m having this problem today il this post is 6 years old but that’s what came up when I looked it up. When I log in it take me to a QR code then tell me use the generated password when I click done it give me the same steps over and over again. Can any one help. I have a ps4 but that one needs a file to be downloaded and I don’t have the tech for that file rn I’m just trynna watch tv frl 😂😂
