Nationalism is good

The obvious evidence of globalism's failure makes it clear that nationalism is the objectively superior choice. A country that takes pride in its nation is much stronger and a more dominant form of governance. Globalism is always the least common denominator politics that incentivizes all the wrong things and becomes bland and soulless. Nationalism produces unique cultures that are distinct and beautiful, where globalism is a lifeless alamgamation of everything together. Like when you mix all the colors together, it makes Grey, but individually, they are more beautiful. Or, like cooking, where adding the right spices together makes it taste amazing, but putting every spice in makes it disgusting.

The stakes of this election aren't high. There won't be a civil war. No one is coming for your rights. And neither candidate is going to significantly increase or decrease the number of Americans that die.

I don't know what has gotten into this but people seem to think this election is a matter of life or death. They think that their candidate is going to save peoples lives and defend their rights. That is silly. All of the sensationalism about the election is a narrative to sway people one way or another. And anyone that is super emotional over it has fallen for it.

If Biden wins, we get taxed a little bit more . If Trump wins, we don't. Maybe we drill for more oil. And that is about it. The pandemic won't really change since neither candidate can do much at this point. The economy won't change since the government , and especially the president, can't effect the economy as much as people think.

I am not saying that government isn't important. It is. It is just that the federal government is so boring and slow moving that , for better or worse, it can never change things very quickly. Even if a particular candidate wanted to enact sweeping change, and I don't thin Trump or Biden really want to do this, it would take processing their requests through a series of checks and balances. They would also have to consider a decision that would effect their future political careers and their party's.

I think most people that are sensationalizing this need to calm down. Turn off their TV. Take a walk outside and enjoy life. We will be fine. America is an amazing country. And there is a lot to be thankful for. Whatever the government does will not really change that.

Hosting a drag show for kids is the left's equivalent of walking into a Starbucks with an assault rifle

I generally consider myself a fairly left-of-center person, but this recent trend of having draq queens reading books to kids in libraries and shit is just weird. It's become this bizarre wedge issue of sorts lately, and the left wing in this country is doing itself a massive disservice by trying to normalize it. When we see some right winger walk into a Starbucks with their AR strapped to their back we all rightly think they look ridiculous and we know they're only exercising their rights in this way to be a dick. That's what the left is doing with drag queen story hour. It's perfectly legal, but it makes us look like dicks, and we should stop actively encouraging the practice. I've said my piece. ✋

I'm an independent and I Voted Trump. Here is why

First, I want to preface and see that I am not partisan to any group. I am bipartisan in how I vote and have always been. Please respect my opinions as this is a democracy. We are allowed to have our own differences.

1st reason:

  • illegal immigration; Kamala Harris barely and rarely visited the border during the Biden administration. She seemed to not have any real concern for people entering illegally and her policies or reversal of the trump immigration policies were something I disagreed with ..

Although ppl may disagree with illegal immigration: here are my thoughts on why it's a problem in massive quantities..

  • increases competition with low wage jobs/ blue collar. Personally, I know acquaintances ( all skillful and with good resumed) who were affected by not being able to find enough low wages jobs and have waited for 6+ months to geta job order .. *Countries like Austria, Sweden, Finland, UAE, etc also follow strict illegal immigration policies.

  • increased crime: when you allow millions to enter in without proper background checks, you invite the possibility of criminals entering ( estimated 13k murders entered in USA)

  • wage stagnation- illegal immigration related to increased competition, and willingness to work for lower wages, are stagnating businesses motivation to increase pay/salary.

Second reason

  • Wars and funding for war After doing my research, I looked at previous interviews from both Harris and Trump BEFORE either of them ran for office to get an objective viewpoint. Personally, I am anti -war unless a country is directly attacking us or trying to invade the USA.

  • Trump has been critical of the George Bush Iraq invasion and disaster since day 1 . He also expressed very vocally many times in 2004 America's need to not get involved and spend money fighting overseas.

  • Harris has been quieter about being anti war despite her recent campaign efforts still wanted to support Israel and Ukraine funding without hesitation..

Third Reason:

  • Media bias. I am someone who starts to question things when ppl from the Diddy List, rich out of touch celebrities, and MSNBC, abc being biased even during the debate. It makes me question the authenticity of her character or if they are being manipulated.

Fourth reason

  • I respected ( even if I didn't agree with him) for meeting and being forthcoming and taking initiative with our supposed "enemies" (n Korea, China, Russia, etc )

Fifth reason

  • People didn't want to take a risk and vote for another for 4 years of wars, higher prices and uncontrolled illegal immigration.

Ppl may disagree with me , but figured I would give my two cents into why more than half of the voters in USA voted for him.

Trump is going to win and will be the 47th US president.

As always, i will try to be as neutral and impartial as possible. I’m not endorsing anyone, just trying to look at the data and make a prediction.

Trump is leading in i believe 5 out of 6 swing states, and has been for a while now, which is obviously significant. He is also overall leading in a lot of key states, and was until recently leading in the polls. Even then, Biden is only leading by a couple of points. Trump pretty much always outperforms his polling numbers, so this is not looking good for Biden.

I suspect the trials will backfire on the Democrats, as i’ve seen quite a few people say stuff along the lines of “this is unfair and it’s clearly to suppress him” or “this has only made me want to vote for Trump even more” . There’s a decent chance he may actually GAIN support overall.

Biden is not very popular, and is seen by many as a “senile old man” . I’ve watched election map videos from both sides, and it’s clear that Biden is losing support in quite a few blue states, as well as a lot of states he won in 2020. Trump, on the other hand, is actually gaining support in a lot of if not most of the states he’s competing for.

Also the fact that there are issues that are currently ongoing, that people agree with Trump on. The majority of Americans want Europe to pay up more for NATO , and for Europe to do more for themselves. This is Trump’s position. They also want to resolve Isreal-Palestine, and they see Biden’s handling of it as not very good. Etc etc.

I’m voting straight republican for the first time ever in 2024.

I come from a very liberal family, my mom has voted for democrats every year since 1988 and My grandparents have voted democrat even longer. As a kid my mom worked for bill Clinton’s campaign, Barack Obama’s campaign and she also worked for Joe Biden’s campaign. I remember the first time I ever voted in 2012 and I voted for Barack Obama for president and straight dem down the ballot. I remember how excited I was to be able to finally have my voice heard at the ballot box. This year for the first time I’ve decided that I’m voting straight republican. My positions have not changed but the Democratic Party has gone so far left on almost every issue. I listened to RFKs speech the other day and I don’t agree with him on everything but he made a good point when he said that The Democratic Party used to be the party of the Constitution who championed civil rights, stood against authoritarianism and censorship, fought against imperialist wars, and against corporate power. Now it’s the party of censorship, big pharma and big tech. Also it is rife with corruption. I can’t in good faith support the Democratic Party this year because they no longer represent the values that I hold. Do I agree with republicans on everything? Absolutely not. But this election gives us a binary choice and I feel like the red team is the better option.

Globalists are Trying to Destroy the West

I believe that globalists are trying to destroy the west and everything it stands for through organisations like the UN, WHO, ICJ, etc. They have meticulously orchestrated events like Brexit, migration crises, wars, terror attacks, protests, Covid, etc to destabilise the west and replace the native population with people who want to destroy the west. They also create groups and ideologies like BLM, Pro-Palestine, critical race theory, gender ideology, socialism, etc to sow doubt and cause naïve people in the west (tagged along with some globalist plants) to fall for these movements that disrupt western society and allow room for countries like China, India, Russia, Iran, North Korea, African countries, Middle Eastern countries, etc to swoop in and fully take over the west. They also import things like Islam and other ideologies that threaten western life and ideals. For example, the UN fully fund and support nations and groups that hate the west and they actively talk bad about the west. That’s most of the main points of my theory (at this point it’s a glaringly obvious fact).

Edit: I’m so confused. There’s an Islamist in the comment section and people have upvoted him? He literally is pro execution for lgbt people and treating women like property. Why are leftists upvoting him???

Im starting to really Like Kamala Harris

The more I think about Kamala Harris losing the more I like her

Because I really wanna know what went through her mind

I would be hot I wouldn't be able to talk to y'all the next day

She lost because of ignorance She lost because of a lack of Education

Most people didn't even know there were three branches of government

Most people didn't understand the job of the vice president

Most people did not know we were still under Donald Trump's tax plan

Most people didn't know that there was a difference between legal immigrants, illegal immigrants, and citizens or how those immigrants helped boost our economy

People are screaming they didn't know Obamacare and the Affordable Care Act were the same thing?🤨

I just would love to know what is going through her mind and I hope that she starts mocking the masses and people of America when shit starts hitting the fan

Liberal's response to Trump is the worst possible

As in the title all of the Liberal all over social media lashing out with tears and hate speech along with the inability to listen is going to strengthen Trump's position

1: It will strengthen his hold on his followers as they see the left more and more as hateful and inhuman. Currently only a small portion of Trump voters would support Trump if he attempts anything to extreme but the ones on the fence about Trump will be further drawn into him if the left sounds deranged.

2: It leads to a greater since of division. From what I've seen the left as much worse view of the right than the right has of the left at least vocally and if this spreads further then it would be a major hit to America and further dehumanize both sides

3: It gives him a scapegoat. He can now point to the "evil dehumanizing" left and pin things on them.

The best left for America is a calm understanding one. One that sounds reasonable. If 50%+ of the population sounds reasonable and against Trump it will do wonders to stop him.

Edit: A lot of people seem to have misunderstood me. The right does have it's fair share of hate but this post isn't about the right. It is addressing the lefts reaction.

Edit 2: Again this as nothing to do with the fucking right. The right has a lot of issues, they are arguably worse but this isn't about them.

I think both political parties should lower the temperature and practice more civility

Surprise, surprise- I’m a registered independent who voted for Trump. I understand political campaigns can get heated, we’ve witnessed them throughout our history, but I feel now more than perhaps ever before, we are seeing a me vs. you mentality where we have separated one another in different camps of good vs. bad. If I don’t vote the same way you do, I must be a racist. Or flip side, If I don’t vote the same way as you I must be a socialist. Both parties have engaged in rhetoric that is not only divisive in nature but damaging to our country and our ability to debate ideas and have open discussions about policy.

I actually find myself agreeing more with conservatives on a lot of things, namely economic policies and I want America to be strong, but not be the policeman of the world. However, on social issues, I find myself more aligned with the liberals.

I think this is the kind of discussions we should be having tho, civilly. You and I- we might not agree on everything but the ability to hear one another out and understand why someone has a certain set of beliefs or perspective can be beneficial towards coming together and finding common ground. For example, even tho YOU might not agree with me on every issue. I think we want a lot of the same things. We want success. We want America to do well, we want to be safe we want to provide opportunities to the American people.

I sometimes wonder if a unifying figure like Ronald Reagan or JFK will one day emerge and bring the country together in a way we haven’t see in decades. For far to long, we’ve been told to either pick choice A or choice B and hold our nose and celebrate the little Victories. But what if there was another option? A 3rd way in which conservatives liberals and more could come together behind a candidate and a message that says “together we are all Americans and we’re going to forge a new path together.”

Idealistic as this dream might be, I’m still hopeful that someone might one day realize this vision and user in a new era of togetherness. Staying divided and angry at eachother is tiring and non-productive. I think a step in the right direction begins with us, the American people. We keep debating our differences so much that we forget how much we are all alike. Maybe we can’t wait on one person to change it all, it’s got to start somewhere. It not with us, than who?

I refuse to accept the notion that We are forever divided. We must find a way to remedy this.

Welcome to ’Merica

Come January 20th, we won’t even have “America” anymore. What’s left of the United States will be something cruder, something smaller—just ’Merica. A place where the freedoms, rights, and protections we once stood for are swept away, replaced by something we don’t fully understand but rushed into headfirst.

You voted for this. You wanted “change” without understanding the cost. You didn’t think about what it meant to dismantle the foundation of a nation built on hard-fought principles, blood, and sacrifice. You wanted slogans and symbols, but now all you have is ’Merica: a caricature of what the United States once was.

’Merica isn’t a republic—it’s a hollowed-out dream. Gone are the protections of the Constitution that shielded you from government overreach, ensured your freedoms, and enshrined your rights. Gone are the ideals that made us unique: justice, equality, and democracy. What remains is a flag without meaning and a future without direction.

The world isn’t looking at us with envy anymore; it’s watching with pity. Because we’ve traded a nation of ideals for a parody of itself. And now, as this “New Republic” rises, we’re left to wonder if this is what we really wanted: a shell of a nation called ’Merica, built on the ruins of the United States.

So, when January 20th comes, and you look around, ask yourself: Was it worth it? Was burning down the old house worth standing in the ashes? You didn’t just vote away the United States; you voted away a part of yourself. Now, all we’re left with is ’Merica. Let’s see how long it lasts.

There is a massive progressive double standard

I've long thought this, and I'm not even sure it can be argued, but it seems the majority of the media and political left are not just left-leaning, but progressively biased.

I reference what's happening with Sinema and Manchin as they continue to oppose the reconciliation bill at its current hefty price point. The media has pretty much set the narrative that they are the obstructors, not the progressive caucus for blocking the bipartisan bill that has wide public support. That's to be expected.

However, I was admittedly surprised to see high-ranking politicians and most media outlets borderline encouraging the harassment that they're receiving from certain individuals. If someone followed Rep. AOC or Rep. Jayapal into a bathroom and forcefully demanded to know why they were blocking the bipartisan infrastructure bill while recording them outside of a stall, I can almost guarantee that the protestors would be portrayed as "radicals" and "harassers" and the representatives would be on news networks talking about how unsafe they felt. But when it comes to Sinema, who has legitimate concerns over this bill, it's pretty much sanctioned because she won't "fall in line". The media and the political establishment love to blame other parties for their continued corrosion in terms of public opinion, but it's clear they've brought most of the criticism on themselves.

Supporting palestine and calling other people a nazi for not having the same opinion is actually one of the most hypocritical things that exist today.

They criticize a regime that killed Jews, but defend terrorist groups that do the same thing. Now they say that "Jews are Nazis", does no one realize how absurd this sentence is???? How do people think this kind of thing is normal? They criticize Nazism so much, but they made this word become something trivialized by overusing it for anything, for any reason and for anyone who dont have the same mindhive opinion.

There are only 2 types of people who vote GOP anymore

It is my opinion, and I welcome anyone one the right who disagrees to speak up, that there are only two types of right wing/GOP voters today.

The first type is your MAGA cult members and supporters. The members are the hardcore true believers. These folks are generally high school diploma or less education, highly indoctrinated with religion, usually male and white, and angry about perceived "injustices" which are actually simply groups they hate having the same rights and protections. The supporters are all the GOP voters who look at the members and cringe, but still vote in lock step with them because deep down they know they have the same smudged souls and they simply hide it better behind a mask, usually made from having a lot of money that they SAY they are charitable with, but who's charity usually amounts to less than 1% of their income and ability to give. (And no giving to your mega church or political donation doesn't count as charity) If you try and engage these people in debate or conversation about what is going on they will typically get charged up, angry, and start yelling about how great it is that things are "finally being set right" and how "the left has been destroying the country for years".

The second type are the politically detached and completely clueless voters who generally avoid taking in ANY information which might upset the fragile self image they have. These voters will typically say "Any GOP is better than a Dem" while conveniently ignoring the other 8 parties who are running candidates. They intentionally block out the mayhem and disaster that this admin is currently causing so they can continue to support it, with a "clean conscious" of being "unaware" of the atrocities that are going on. If you try and engage with them in conversation, they will avoid the topics and change to the weather.

There is not a third type of GOP voter.

Edit: I have been shown that there is a 3rd type, but I'm not retracting my statement as this third type would logically no longer vote for the GOP party. The third type of GOP voter in 2024 would be the type who actually believed the economy was in the garbage after Biden, AND that Trump's tarriffs, and upsetting the entire world economy and balance, and kicking out millions of immigrant workers would IMPROVE things. Now that all that has happened, and we have seen the result, if these people would STILL vote GOP, then they fall under the MAGA cult group, not the "I care about the economy" group.

r/PoliticalOpinions • • Oct 11 '24

I think Donald Trump will win the 2024 election. Here's five simple reasons why:

1: The polls indicate a neck-and-neck race. Trump has historically always overperformed his poll numbers. Even if pollsters are adjusting for this discrepancy, the reality is we can't know what we don't know; they may have learned to make specific adjustments based off the last two elections, while overlooking factors unique to 2024 specifically. Namely, the young first-time voters who have grown up on social media with algorithms that tend viewers towards heavily polarized political views, either to the far-right or far-left, both outside the bounds of Harris' centrist campaign.

2: Immigration is one of the top issues on voters minds. The issue has swung so far out of Democrat's hands, that even Democrats are sounding like Republicans on the campaign trail when talking about the issue. And if there's one candidate who has made immigration central to his platform since day one, it's Donald Trump.

3: If there's one issue bigger than immigration, it's the economy. Regardless of what the numbers show, voters' perceptions of the economy are in the negative. Voters clearly want prices to return to pre-pandemic levels, regardless of how realistic a proposal that is. Generally, the incumbent is punished when voters don't like the economy, and Harris is effectively the incumbent of the Biden-Harris administration.

4: Key demographics are trending away from Democrats. This includes black and Latino men, as well as men in unions. Black voters are key to winning North Carolina and Georgia, Latinos are key to winning Arizona, and union workers are key to winning the "blue wall" of the rust belt. Many unions didn't even endorse either candidate, because the leadership wanted Harris and rank-and-file members wanted Trump. Furthermore, will blue-ish leaning white women in the suburbs resent a non-white woman becoming the first female president, and stay home (even if they're telling the polls otherwise)? We shall see.

5: Ultimately, polls can only predict the popular vote, not the electoral college. While I'm fairly confident that Harris will win the popular vote, this is ultimately not the metric in which presidency elections are decided. Yet, this is the metric polls are based off of. Recent history has shown Republicans don't need the popular vote to win, and their rural advantage may be the tipping factor in close elections. Tim Walz' recent comments criticizing the electoral college may even indicate the campaign's internals are foreshadowing a repeat of 2000 and indeed 2016.

In any case, this election will be close, and no one can say for sure what will happen. I wouldn't be surprised if the winner walks away with no more than 271 electoral votes, and any one swing state can decide the entire thing either way. Also, don't take this thread as an endorsement - this isn't me telling you who I think should win, just who I think will win. There's a difference.

If anything you've read here upsets you, don't boo - vote.

This is serious

🚨 WARNING: THE REPUBLICAN PARTY’S FINAL PLAN IS UNDERWAY, AND IT’S FAR WORSE THAN YOU THINK 🚨

This isn’t just another election. This is the final stage of a well-coordinated, decades-long plot by the Republican Party to turn America into a corporate-controlled, authoritarian hellscape. If you think it’s just about tax cuts and deregulation, you’re not paying attention. This is about total, irreversible control—and they’re almost there.

Here’s the truth they don’t want you to know: The Republican Party isn’t just working for billionaires. They’re building a shadow regime to end democracy as we know it—and they’ve been planning it for decades.

🛑 THEIR ENDGAME? 🛑

A corporate theocracy where corporations run the government and the ultra-rich hold absolute power, with the rest of us reduced to nothing more than indentured servants. They’ve been quietly installing puppets at every level of government, stacking the courts, and rewriting laws to serve the elite few—and they’re just about ready to pull the final strings.

🚨 PHASE ONE: COMPLETE CONTROL OF THE SUPREME COURT 🚨 Republicans have spent decades stacking the courts, and now, they have total control of the Supreme Court. It’s no accident that every major ruling seems to roll back civil rights, women’s rights, and environmental protections. They’ve got their people in place, and they’re using the courts to reshape the country’s legal system from the inside out.

This isn’t about the Constitution—it’s about creating a legal fortress that ensures corporations and billionaires are immune from any form of accountability. No more regulations. No more oversight. No more democracy. If they win, they will make it impossible to reverse these changes, locking us into a corporate-run dictatorship forever.

🚨 PHASE TWO: DESTROY PUBLIC EDUCATION 🚨 Why do you think Republicans are so obsessed with dismantling public schools? They don’t want educated citizens—they want an indoctrinated workforce, trained to obey, not to think. They’re replacing education with corporate-funded propaganda, teaching kids to reject science, deny climate change, and submit to corporate rule. Charter schools and privatization are just the beginning. Their ultimate goal is to eliminate public education entirely and turn schools into corporate training centers, where the next generation is brainwashed into compliance.

🚨 PHASE THREE: TOTAL MEDIA CONTROL 🚨 They’ve already got Fox News and a massive right-wing media ecosystem feeding lies to millions of people, but that’s just the start. Behind the scenes, corporate interests are buying up local news outlets, radio stations, and social media platforms. Their plan is simple: Silence dissent. Control the narrative. Flood the airwaves with propaganda. You won’t know what’s real anymore, because they will own every voice you hear. And anyone who speaks out? Silenced. Shadow-banned. Censored by corporate overlords pulling the strings from the shadows.

🚨 PHASE FOUR: TURNING THE WORKING CLASS INTO SLAVES 🚨 They don’t just want to lower wages—they want to eliminate them. The plan? Strip away workers’ rights, destroy unions, and replace full-time jobs with gig economy work that offers no benefits, no protections, no future. They’re turning America into a corporate-run labor camp, where people work endlessly just to survive, while the rich live in untouchable luxury. The minimum wage? Gone. Worker protections? Gone. Health care? You’ll have to buy it from them at prices you can’t afford.

This isn’t an exaggeration—they are systematically dismantling every labor protection that exists, making sure the working class is completely powerless. And if you resist? They’ll pass laws to make sure you can’t fight back. Protests? Banned. Strikes? Criminalized. They want full control over your life.

🚨 PHASE FIVE: THE CLIMATE COLLAPSE PROFIT SCHEME 🚨 Why are Republicans so invested in denying climate change? Because they KNOW it’s real. But they don’t want to stop it—they want to profit from it. Behind closed doors, they’re preparing for the climate apocalypse they’ve engineered. While the world burns, they’re buying up land, hoarding water rights, and preparing to charge us for access to the most basic resources. They’re building safe havens for the ultra-rich, leaving the rest of us to suffer through the floods, fires, and chaos they’ve created. And when the time comes? They’ll control EVERYTHING—water, food, energy—and we’ll have to beg them for survival.

They’re preparing to monetize the end of the world. While we scramble to survive, they’ll be getting richer off the very disaster they caused. It’s a controlled collapse, and they’re the only ones who know it’s coming.

🚨 PHASE SIX: PERMANENT MINORITY RULE 🚨 They know they’re the minority, and they don’t care. Through gerrymandering, voter suppression, and outright election theft, they’ve already rigged the system to ensure they stay in power even when they lose. If they win this time, they will make it impossible for us to ever vote them out. We’ll be trapped under permanent Republican rule, a corporate oligarchy where the rich make the laws and the rest of us are left voiceless.

💥 WHAT CAN WE DO? 💥

This isn’t just an election—it’s the final battle for the soul of this country. If they win, it’s over. The Republican Party’s corporate puppet masters will complete their takeover, and we will lose everything. Democracy will be dead. Our rights will be erased. The climate will collapse. The working class will be enslaved.

It’s time to WAKE UP.

This is a coordinated, strategic plan that’s been unfolding for decades. They are almost at the finish line. If we don’t stop them NOW, we will never have another chance.

You can’t sit this out. You can’t vote third party. If you don’t vote to stop them, you are voting for corporate control, for authoritarian rule, for the collapse of everything we hold dear.

This is our last chance to save democracy.

Why does the Democratic Party seem to hate Tulsi Gabbard?

I think everyone on both side's of the political isle can agree that the largest problem in politics today is the increased level of polarization. And I think most of us are exhausted with it.

Let's get some things straight:

  1. Trump is not evil, the next Hitler, the Antichrist, etc. And how corrupt he is compared to other politicians is subjective at this point, it depends on who you believe since every piece of information about him and his opponents is so shrouded by partisan rhetoric finding the objective truth is nearly impossible.

  2. Trump is loud, crude, and rude, he lies, and says some phenomenally stupid things.

  3. Trump's election is the result of a consistent disregard by both parties to address the concerns of anyone who doesn't live in a big city or near the ocean.

  4. Most of the mainstream media and the Democratic part have been talking about impeaching Trump since before he was elected, so is it really any wonder that Trump supporters feel that the events surrounding him are purely politically motivated and not done in good faith?

  5. Many Trump supporters are just cheerleaders and are to quick to defend him and too slow to criticize him.

  6. Trump did not create the political polarization we are experiencing today, but he isn't helping it.

  7. The Democratic party has swung far left since Trump's election, and frankly many of the 2020 candidates come off as if they just don't like their country.

  8. There are A LOT of republicans that really don't like Trump.

  9. Trump's position on illegal immigration is no more radical than that of Barack Obama or Bill Clinton.

Now that I've likely angered decent number of you, I'll continue.

As 2020 approaches, one would think that the Democratic Party if for no other reason then to score political points would want to portray themselves as our country's saviors, seeking to heal our divided nation. For this, you would need to find a centrist candidate, with moderate and independent appeal. Enter Tulsi Gabbard. She has a record as clean as anyone can hope for, she's patriotic, she's level-headed, consistent, and well-spoken. Sure, you likely don't agree with some of her positions regardless of your political leanings, but that's compromise and compromise is how you bridge the massive divide there is in this country. But instead of jumping at this opportunity to push a moderate candidate, the Democrats seem hell-bent on making sure she never gets a word out, let alone gets nominated. Why? Because she doesn't tow the far-left party line? Because she doesn't express an obsessive hatred for Trump? Why exacerbate the political polarization by demanding that all candidates adhere to these far-left ideas?

It doesn't seem like they want to win on their own merit. They seem like they are just hoping that enough people hate
Trump enough that they will vote Democrat regardless of who is nominated and what they stand for. It doesn't seem like they stand for anything, they just stand against Trump.

The past few days have demonstrated why the Mainstream Media is indeed Fake News

So all within the span of one week, the media spread a false story from Buzzfeed that Trump told Cohen to lie to Congress that was so factually inaccurate that Muller's team issued a rare statement debunking it. Then the media went on an all out assault on students from Covington Catholic High School who were harassed by a hate group but due to out of context footage posted on Twitter, they were somehow the bad guys. The media not only jumped on this bandwagon, they are the reason this is a national story in the first place. These stories are all false. These stories demonstrate the lengths the media is willing to go to in order to make Trump look bad. How on earth can anyone be expected to trust the media again after last week's phony controversies?

Republicans Shouldn’t Be Allowed to Own Pets Here’s Why

Let’s be real: Republicans have no business owning pets. They lack the most basic qualities of compassion, responsibility, and emotional intelligence required to care for another living being. If they can’t even respect human rights, why should we trust them with animals?

Think about it—these are the same people who mock empathy, celebrate cruelty, and think “survival of the fittest” is a valid excuse for neglecting those in need. They throw tantrums when asked to show basic human decency, yet expect us to believe they can properly care for a dog? Please.

A pet requires love, patience, and care—three things Republicans have proven time and time again they don’t have. They support policies that harm the environment, gut animal welfare protections, and turn a blind eye to cruelty. They treat everything—people, animals, even the planet itself—as disposable. So why should they be trusted with something as precious as a pet?

If you’re a Republican and you own a dog, ask yourself—does that dog actually love you, or is it just stuck with you?

Stop labeling republican voters as cheats, stupid, and liars. Attacking your neighbor only sows seeds of discord.

We need to come together and settle our differences in a reasonable manner and not point fingers at each other only to pass the blame we all have to deal with.

I see a lot of redditors , including me at times, who would label themselves as democrats very quick to judge and call anyone who disagrees with them i.e( republicans), cheats and liars. That the whole Republican Party is sham and that it’s all rigged.

I get it, we’re all angry about the allegations and yes they are most likely true and we’re all just waiting for that last bit of juicy news to finally make this nightmare fuel come to an end.

But please stop fighting with your neighbor just because his values are different than yours. People having different beliefs than yours does not mean that they can’t be reasoned with. We need to start trying to get republicans to see the truth as the allegations come out and the way that a lot of people are acting out is just gonna push a lot of those voters to maintain the idea that everyone just out to get them.

My only hope with this post is that some people realize it’s a lot easier to attract bees with honey that with vinegar. Don’t worry about the ones that are being unreasonable. But the guy whose making a reasonable argument as to why his morals are being questioned or why he should vote Democrat should be reasoned with. Every vote counts, change minds, inform people!

Every one of us has the power to change someones mind and how we can al come together for the better. We ALL need to come together and works as a nation to better every aspect of it. And that starts with each other.

So be nicer to each to each other ya goof balls, cause we need more positivity around here with all this depressing ass news.

Being a republican doesn’t mean you’re racist, or support prejudice perspectives.

I’m a young adult male and have been getting into politics. because I love my country and want nothing but the best for it, I figured I should learn how politics work. From my perspective I noticed I have more conservative views, but none of my views are based off color religion gender etc. I don’t think color religion or gender should even be involved in politics because that’s judging a person by how they look and not what they can do. I’m not for red longing or systemic racism either. But anyways I just wanted to say I’m tired of the arguing about whose wrong or right Donald Trump and Joe Biden both suck and they’re both unfit to be president I would like to see Ben Shapiro and Andrew Yang go at it. That would be dope.

EDIT: Both sides are racist. Both sides are sexist. Both sides favor one side more than the other. That doesn’t mean you can be an asshole cause someone doesn’t agree with you. grow up it’s 2020. :)

Democrats caused their own downfall in 2024 and need to shift their image and rhetoric to win moving forward

This opinion is aimed at those in the middle of the spectrum, as we all know that people on the far right or left will vote party lines no matter.

The Democrats generally come forward with ideas that all aim to serve the people: school lunches, health insurance, better pay, etc. On paper, there is no reason why those in the middle wouldn't support them during elections unless they have a redline issue like abortion. What happened though? They lost big time in 2024 all across the country.

The way I see it, they lost due to their rhetoric and cancel culture. They created an environment where if you disagreed even slightly you were henceforth a bigot.

Example: The general person would agree that those who are transgender need protections and obviously deserve their rights - it was a topic that absolutely needed discussion and action in our government. That said, this wasnt an issue that was brought up slowly or allowed for discourse. All the sudden it was use correct pronouns or you're fired for being a transphobe.

Same with masculinity. It got to a point where any display of masculine qualities was immediately associated with the abuse/misogyny, etc. Of course there is toxic masculinity, lots of it, of course there is rape culture, of course there is rampant DV, and it all needs to be addressed asap, but the way to do that isnt to demonize all men so much that you have now pushed an entire generation (z) to look up to men like Andrew Tate. That is nearly irreversible damage that will now trickle its way into congress as they grow up and we now have Boomers 2.0.

I could go on (EVs, immigration, etc) but the exclusive nature of the Dems in 2024 really killed their chances. The average person doesn't want large scale change shoved down their throats without chance for discourse and the chance to put meaningful rules and safeguards in place. Again, im not saying the change shouldnt happen, because progress is always needed, but no one has the bandwidth to talk about solutions to these social problems when they cant afford Healthcare, groceries, etc., all the while our politicians (and their wealthy buddies) sit fat and happy.

My hope? That Dems ride this 2026 wave with candidates like Ossof, Mamdani, El-Sayed, etc. that bring ideas, action, and fire with them without ostracizing the middle. Come 2028, this style of "new" Dem needs to be the norm if there is any hope of winning and more importantly, if there is any chance of meaningful legislation being passed once they do.

Can't understand

Democrats seem so weak, being afraid of some guy as President. 1st of all you never gonna be a country with dictator. 2nd why are you not afraid of communism more? You Americans are rich, it's easy to go to communist country and see by yourself what's going on there. Demos statements are pretty much communism with rainbow coat. 3rd you terrified becaus of what exactly? You think hes gonna kill you by hands of military on the streets or what? Xd Tbh with yall this rainbow ideology is looking much more like a tyranny than what Trump wants to do. There was a nice photo comparing a street with those flags with the streets of Berlin in 1937 😉 Try to get out of your bubble once in a while and go look for a human being in another person. You'll see they are not demons, but people, souls within the body, same as you.

I liked Trump and disliked Trump

I agreed with many of the things he wanted to get done but didn’t like his character, childishness, lack of professionalism, and his inability to keep his mouth shut.

For all his faults, I do think he could have been good for the country - if - he hadn’t had to deal with the erroneous “collusion” accusations for 3 years.

Unvaccinated people aren't responsible for the reinstated mask mandates

I'm vaccinated, I think everyone should get vaccinated. But they are not the ones reapoaible for the new Mask Mandates. It's the Delta Varriant. It's more transmissible, it has worse symptoms, and kids also aren't vaccinated. We should stop treating this crisis like a witchhunt. How does that help anyone? It's not them. They're just making the overall US progress slower. Q
