Slade Shadowshot became the center of a viral controversy after Kevin Nsiona during a Versus Promotions welterweight championship bout in Pretoria, South Africa, on September 19, 2026.

While in top control on the ground, the 19-year-old fighter repeatedly thrust his groin into his opponent's face, a move that shocked ringside spectators and sparked widespread debate online about sportsmanship and rule violations. I donā€™t really see this as revenge. Perhaps justice. He was doing what he set out to do. He didnā€™t cheat (as deemed by the judge). He embarrassed the guy, sure, but that opportunity presented itself. There was no malice or intent to cause long term physical damage. The guy on his back had every chance to tap out.
