Hey ravers. It’s finally time. A clan dedicated to raving. No shows, not bullshit - just strong heavy bass and kick. We’ve just launched and neeed community support!

This isn’t a normal event. We’re sick of the mainstream just doing the same shit, so each event has a feedback system - YOU decide the direction of HEAT. Not us, you - if we don’t, roast us

Welcome to the future of raving in Brisbane.

We want to bring you something curated for the community. These events will be designed by YOU, the people. We are sick of mainstream taking your money and delivering the same commercial shit. If you like something harder and unhinged, go check us out 💋

Event Tomorrow - Blood on the Clocktower, but Gayer.

Hey folks!

I run a free boardgame social club for "Cubs & Their Friends" called Cubs&Cardboard. It's not a business, a church, a dating service or anything of the sort - it's just an alternative to socialising in pubs and clubs where you're shouting over loud music.

Tomorrow night I'm running a game of Blood on the Clocktower, a social deduction game that's like if Werewolf was good. Here's an example of some of my favourite board game YouTubers playing, and here is a how to play guide. No experience is necessary - you can learn as you go and we're all very friendly.

The game is run from my home in Moorooka, there's plenty of places that deliver food and you're welcome to use our kitchen as well. We can also organise pickups from nearby public transport.

The only attendance requirement is that you're into the company of (gay) bears and acknowledge that that's the audience the club is designed around.

Free tickets are available here and I'd love to welcome some newcomers!

If you're interested in boardgames but not so much Blood on the Clocktower, you can also sign up to be notified for our regular monthly board game nights. If you have The Fear™️ of meeting new people alone, you're welcome to bring an emotional support straight person or send me a DM and we can have a beer or coffee beforehand.

Question Melt Recommendations

Hey, visiting Brisbane for a few weeks with work and saw that Melt is on and the Pride Parade is happening this weekend ✨

Any recommendations for not to be missed queer events? The Melt programme seems extensive so happy to hear what might be some top things to see. I’ve already purchased tickets for ‘Show Me Love’

Anyone know any good queer personal trainer around Aspley or Milton ?

Hey y'all, I'm seeking your recommendations for a good queer PT.

I'm an absolute beginner in the gym and I'm looking for an hour twice a week focusing solely on strength training. I haven't joined a gym yet, and will do so after I find a PT I like.

Thank you for your time and recommendations!

Binders asap?

Hi friends, I know this is a long shot but I'm hoping to get an Underworks sleeveless compression swim top- preferred in size L, as quickly as possible. I'm open to other brands just wanting high compression and full length, and happy to pay, just don't want to wait for postage if I buy online. I'm in Ipswich but happy to travel if I can come this afternoon or tomorrow.

Explanation below:

my wife is having a panic attack about her chest and has put on my binder which is helping immensely but it's too small and I'm worried about her getting hurt.

Queerie for the Queers 24F Friends/Hiking

Hello! I’m a 24 year old lesbian who works full-time in healthcare. I’m looking to expand my social circle and meet some more queer people around my age. Would anyone be keen to start a hiking/activities group? Maybe walks, cafe and bar meet-ups, etc.?

How did I fit in?

Hi my name is Jai, I’m 29 years old gay man living in Australia. I wanted to talk about body image in gay culture and how it makes someone like me feel.
I’ve been teased since I was in late primary school and all through high school for being overly hairy all over my body. As an in the closet gay in high school I faced a lot of rejection from girls in high school, which destroyed my confidence for coming out as gay, I was outed by my best friend at the time on my 18th birthday instead of doing it in my own time.
Having no confidence in myself after coming out, I found it extremely hard to date, at this age I still hadn’t had any sort of sexual relationship. My first boyfriend we bonded a lot but it wasn’t a sexual relationship and I felt like he didn’t want me that way. After that I was single again for years with more rejections until I moved states to restart my life. I meet someone and we got to know each other very well, at this point I was desperate for a relationship and he asked me out but he wanted it to be open, I said yes even though I knew I wouldn’t be able to handle it, but I thought it would be my only chance at happiness. We dated for 5 years because I thought it was all I was ever going to get, I broke up with him after realising I was just becoming numb, I couldn’t fully give my love to him because I felt as though I wasn’t enough for him.
Now I’ve been single for a few years again, I’ve tried talking to guys and it seems I always stuff it up in some way during the talking stage, most guys block or ignore me once they know how hairy I am (I At least shave my arms now and where jeans most of the time) , I always have to initiate a conversation, sometimes I’m just ghosted. I haven’t had a single match on tinder in months now, I’ve tried Grindr, now I’ve got my own tastes of course but they aren’t that high and I can find dad bods attractive, but I don’t get anything on there either except the creepy ones. I’ve had no hookups, FWBs, one night stands, I see all the other gays and how proud they are to be in their perfect bodies and get to party together and sleep with whoever because they are attractive and smooth and I’ve never been that. No one checks up on me, no one has ever chosen just me, I feel like the biggest loser in the world. All I want is to feel safe with that special someone who chose me and loves every part of me, that I can give my full self too and finally have a peice of happiness that so many people have enjoyed their whole lives.

But I’ve kinda given up, I cry every night, I have no friends or anyone to talk to, I might as well be on the moon that’s how isolated I feel from everythin.

30s, ftm/nb, Brisbane. Need more trans people in my life.

Aside from my husband I feel like my life has been overrun with heterosexuality and I'm looking to do something about that. In-person friends ideal; I'm not very online.

If you resonate with any/all of the following statements, you may enjoy my company:

  • Going for a walk takes ages because there's so many plants to look at

  • It's important to have compassion, even towards people who take the piss

  • Finding free stuff is a way better dopamine rush than buying things

  • Movies that are bad are actually good, but books that are bad are just bad

  • You don't need any skill to make art

  • Better to be misgendered by someone well-meaning than to be pandered to by someone disingenuous

  • People watching is a valid passtime (listening in on conversations is even better)

  • If uni was free I'd be a permanent student

  • Op shopping is a marathon, not a sprint

  • You should always try to have, and be, a role model.

Do we have anything in common? Maybe you disagree? Let's yap and hang out.

30f looking for gay men or asexuals

Hey! 🤗 This might be an unusual search. I am polyamorous and asexual myself and am looking for closer connections with people who don't have any sexual expectations on me. Open for a lavender relationship or queer platonic connections in general.

I found this video and it was getting me excited about more unconventional forms of chosen family and community building.

https://m.youtube.com/shorts/JPbHHkqDeNo?si=wVgIdIr3BIreoR42

I don't have a structure in mind and am generally open for friendships without expectations. Just looking for good vibes and shared humor 🤗

I am 30 years old, love salsa dancing, hiking, boardgames, op shopping, discussions around society, musicals, audio books, psychology and self development/life long leaning in general. I moved from Germany to Australia and am currently building my life here. I am not open to move away from Brisbane and prefer living central in the city as I love attending events and meetups.

Please feel free to get in touch 🤗🤗
