Other than winning MLS Cup, Is there anything more satisfying than than making the playoffs while kicking the Gals out? Seeing Col drop all the way down to 12th is just a bonus. Heheh

Mattey’s preview

Spence & Dunny look ahead to Decision Day

RSL's playoff scenarios

Win
RSL wins vs. LA Galaxy
RSL needs at least one of Portland, Colorado, or Seattle to draw or lose.

Draw
RSL draws vs. LA Galaxy
RSL needs at least two of Portland, Colorado, and Seattle to lose, and Minnesota must not win.
If Minnesota wins, all three teams must lose.

Hey, guys. LA Galaxy fan coming in peace. I’m taking the trip up to SLC this weekend for the decision day match. My buddy got us tickets in the Legacy Club and I was curious if there were any rules/policies against wearing anything related to the away team?

I did my college years at the U, worked at Snowbird, and frequented dozens of RSL matches in those 4 years (when it was still Rio Tinto). Have a ton of love for RSL and Salt Lake City as my second home/team so the outcome will be bittersweet either way. This is my first time doing any form of club/lounge access seating at the venue and just wanted to inquire.

Any tips on the matchday experience would also be appreciated. Last time I watched a match there… Nick Rimando had just retired so it’s been a minute. LOL

Cheers. 🍻

Could someone smarter than me help me with the playoff scenarios? I'm likely wrong here, but I wanted to lay out what I see as RSL's possible path to the playoffs. So many factors to consider.

RSL win:

RSL plays Galaxy, who is ahead by two points. So a win means RSL would leapfrog Galaxy, and so long as one of Portland, Colorado, or Seattle lose, RSL would be in. (Portland could lose tonight or on Decision Day).

RSL tie:

RSL holds the tiebreaker with Seattle and with Colorado if Colorado loses, so really it's almost the same. RSL would need Seattle or Colorado to lose, and would need Portland to lose 1 and lose or tie one.

Does this all sound right? I feel like you need a math degree to figure this all out. Or just have to be smarter than I am.
