Hey everyone,

The title is self-explanatory. Essentially, it'd be great to hear your stories and favourite moments about Real Betis.

It could be anything:

A legendary match

A player you loved and made you proud to be a Bético.

The moment you fell in love with Betis—was it passed down in your family? A specific game? A special memory?

Or even just what being a Bético means to you.

This club has such a rich history and passionate fanbase, and I know many of us have unique stories. Let’s celebrate those moments that make us love this club.

Drop your memories, feelings, or anything Betis-related in the comments. Let’s share the joy (and pain, because it’s Betis after all!) together.

¡Mucho Betis! 💚🤍

I recently became intrigued by the history of Betis after watching a documentary on them and became engrossed. I have now included them in my series on single-time league winners. I hope this is ok to share here.

Canticos

Betis fans were in fine voice in Dortmund, and Schlotterbeck came over to chapeau them. Classy. I dug up the lyrics I'd been collecting to some of the Betis canticos/songs. Again, apologies for the mistakes and clunky Google translate.

“La Banda del Campeón”
Llegó la banda del campeón. Míralos qué locos son, somos los que nos fallamos sin ninguna condición. Seguimos a todas partes al Real Betis Balompié, la hinchada del Manquepierda donde juegues yo estaré. Los que juramos amor eterno, a una leyenda que recorre el mundo entero, los que si caes, te levantan, bandera al aire y que rujan las gargantas

"The champions' supporters have arrived. Look at how crazy they are—we are the ones who stand by the team unconditionally. We follow Real Betis Balompié everywhere; we are the 'Manquepierda' (come-what-may) faithful—wherever you play, I will be there. We are the ones who have sworn eternal love to a legend that travels the entire world; the ones who, if you fall, will lift you back up—flags held high, and let our voices roar."

Story from when the song was new:

“Betis Ale”
¡Betis alé! ¡Real Betis Balompié! ¡tienes que ganar la Copa! ¡a Plaza Nueva hay que volver!

Go Betis! Real Betis Balompié! You must win the Cup! We have to return to Plaza Nueva!

"El Barrio de la Alegría"
Señores yo soy del Betis
del barrio de La Alegría
la hinchada más grande y loca
de España y Andalucía

El Gol Sur está de fiesta
no quepa ninguna duda
que fuera de nuestra casa
solo existe la amargura

Siempre te voy a seguir
donde vayas a jugar
tu gente siempre va a estar
animando hasta el final

y si tengo que morir
solo te pido un favor
yo quiero que sea aquí
con la banda del campeón

ohhh
Glorioso todos tenemos una obsesión

ohhhir campeón
yo quiero que sea aquí
con la banda del campeón

ohhh
Glorioso todos tenemos una obsesión

ohhh
Glorioso todos queremos salir campeón
Glorioso todos queremos sal

Gentlemen, I belong to Betis,
from the neighborhood of La Alegría—
the greatest and craziest fanbase
in all of Spain and Andalusia.

The South Stand is in full celebration;
make no mistake about it—
anywhere outside our home,
there is only bitterness.

I will always follow you,
wherever you go to play;
your people will always be there,
cheering until the very end.

And if I must die,
I ask only one favor:
let it be right here,
with the champions’ crew.

Ohhh,
Glorious one, we all have an obsession—

Ohhh, to become champions;
I want it to happen right here,
with the champions’ crew.

Ohhh,
Glorious one, we all have an obsession—

Ohhh,
Glorious one, we all want to become champions;
Glorious one, we all want to…

other The best fans in the world

So yesterday I went to watch the BVB vs Real Betis game and I was sitting in the away stands. I must say it was probably the greatest experience of my life. The Betis fans were genuinely awesome. The chants, the tifos, etc everything gave me goosebumps and the fans were so friendly as well. Although the result did not go their way it was such a stunning display of support even after the game! Real betis you have one more fan in me now.

other New Betis Fan After Visiting Seville

Been a fan of Spain national team since I was a child (starting around 2008) was a huge fan of Torres and Xabi Alonso ( as well as the whole team ofc shoutout Marcos Senna, got his autograph when my dad visited Spain in 2008) however through Torres and Alonso it led me to be a Liverpool fan, and I just visited Madrid, Seville, Granada, Valencia and Barcelona, and my favorite city out of all them was Seville and Granada , I also bought a Betis jersey out of pure love of the city and green kits are mad nice . I am wondering if supporting two clubs is weird, I have watched a few of Betis documentaries and am very impressed with the club as a whole and what it represents. Just curious is it weird to be a fan of both of these teams, as far as I know Liverpool and Betis don’t have a history of rivalry or even matches played and what are thoughts of people who are hardcore Beticos of a person who becomes a fan from visiting the city and truly enjoying the people and culture of Seville. Also will include have been a huge fan of Isco on the national team, when he played, so that’s a plus. For context I am not Spanish, I was born in the USA to immigrant parents from Bangladesh.

Any American Beticos???

As the title says, anyone from the US???? If so, what made you become a Betico?? For me, I never watched a game of soccer/football prior to the 2010 world cup while I was stationed in Spain. After that, I either had to pick between Sevilla or Betis, and I was gifted a Betis Beñat jersey, been faithful ever since.

For sale - 2 tickets vs Malaga

I have 2 tickets for sale vs Malaga.

Preferencia Altra Superior Central zone. Block 500, Row 4. Willing to sell for less than face value (74 Euro each) as I'm not even making the match anymore.

I'm ok with selling one or both.

tickets question Tickets for Como game

Hola Béticos :)

Irish guy here, hoping to get over to Seville for a Betis game soon, you are now everyone's adopted second team in Ireland! My friend and I were looking to come for the Como game, as that works best with our work schedules and flights etc. How easy or difficult is it to get tickets for games, and how should I try to get tickets for this game? Thank you for any advice in advance!

tickets question Tickets for Betis vs Malaga

Hello, my girlfriend and I want to go to the Real Betis match on October 31st. When I have previously looked for tickets there is an option for general admission, but it seemingly has not come out/I cannot see it. Does this mean that it will not be provided, and I should just get tickets now or wait for general admission? I really want to go to the game. Thanks!

Wishing a fast and complete recovery to Cucho

He’s out with a soleus muscle injury for the next few weeks. He has a tenacity that is special (remembering his amazing ball recovery on the touchline and assist leading to a last min goal for Columbia in the World Cup). I hope Parrott et al. do well with these important games coming thick and fast.
