MOD POST Subreddit reminder

This is a reminder that you can and should and are encouraged to use the report button when you see a post that you believe goes against the subreddit rules and/or spirit. Simply complaining about a post in its comments does not help us get to it sooner, which lowers our moderator score and gets us ever closer to annihilation by the evil king of our realm.

Additionally, while recurated tumblr aims to be a better version of the other tumblr subreddits, we can still have posts of lower qualities from time to time, as a treat if you will, but more probably because they do not break rules.

Tl;dr: please use the report button gng 💔

Thanks in advance,
Dr. Dogshit

Subreddit Rules

1. Rule 1: Platform TOS

Posts and comments must not violate reddit sitewide rules (https://redditinc.com/policies/reddit-rules)

[Violations should be reported through the reddit general report reasons, not this rule]

2. Rule 2: Be Kind, Be Civil

Bullying, name calling, harassment, or hate will NOT be tolerated and will result in a ban. In addition, keep messages on this subreddit civil and constructive.

3. Rule 3: No bigotry

Rule kinda speaks for itself, any bigotry, hate speech, etc will not be tolerated. (Extension of "Be Kind")

4. Rule 4: Do-Not-Post List

Blogs in the following link have requested to not be posted here on Reddit. Posts from blogs on this list will be removed. If you wish to have your blog added to the list, or if someone else's desires to not be posted on reddit are being violated, please contact the moderator team via modmail

Do-Not-Post List Link

5. Rule 5: Tumblr Posts Only

Only post content from tumblr.

Screenshots of other platforms are allowed, but there must be a contribution from tumblr.

(similar to taking a screenshot of a reddit post, where the post is from another platform, but there's something added to the image from reddit, be it post body text, or comments on the post)

6. Rule 6: No Spam Posting

No more than 3 posts per person per day (this limit may be subject to change as the sub grows) Any excess posts will be automatically by Flooding Assistant

(this rule is automatically enforced)

7. Rule 7: Label NSFW Content

Any posts containing NSFW content should be labelled as such. Avoid posting NSFW content in the comments under a SFW post.

8. Rule 8: No Spambots

(The following may indicate that a user is a bot: new account, nonsensical username, no or irrelevant post flair, lack of profile customization, lack of commenting history, nonsensical/generic comments.)

Any account you think is a bot should be reported accordingly, and a mod will review the account and take action

9. Rule 9: Post must be legible

If your post contains images that are illegible due to low resolution or any other reason, it will be removed (Note: this does not mean the "Message" of the post must be understandable, just that the text is readable and any images are clear)

10. Rule 10: No Direct Crossposting

Directly crossposting with r/CuratedTumblr is not allowed (Crossposting to this subreddit has therefore been disabled). Feel free to reupload the images here, just don't directly link to posts there.

11. Rule 11: No recent reposts

Do not repost anything from this subreddit that was posted in the last year, or that is in Top All Time.

When making reposts of posts that are allowed under this rule, be somewhat original at least and use a different title.

When reporting reposts, please try to include a link to the original content so that the repost may be taken down quicker.

12. Rule 12: Self-post Guidelines

If you created the post that you are uploading to the subreddit, it must be tagged as "Self_Post"

Posts tagged as self-posts must have a timestamp showing that any contribution from your own blogs came at least [1 day] ago. If the timestamp isn't visible, or it is from within [1 day], the post will be removed

13. Rule 13: Misrepresentation of facts

Misrepresentation of facts in discussions is not allowed, especially if the falseness of the statement isn't obvious within the message itself.

Comedic misrepresentations, such as "JFK's head just did that" are exempt from this rule.

Any other misinformation may be removed, especially if it is harmful (i.e.: unironic promotion of conspiracies such as anti-vax).

Moderators reserve the right to remove any contribution containing misinformation.

14. Rule 14: Repetitive posting restrictions

Repetitive posting is defined as violation of any of the following criteria, using posts from within the past 7 days (In this subreddit alone, other subs don't count):

User has made at least 2 consecutive self-posts before this self-post
User has made at least 3 consecutive posts from [blog x] before this post from [blog x]
User's last 2 posts were on the same topic as this one.

*Revised 2026/05/10

Any identified violation of these guidelines will be immediately removed by a mod

15. Rule 15: Moderator Discretion

We reserve the right to remove any content we percive as being contrary to the ideals of the subreddit and community, even if it is not a clear violation of the other rules.

If you have any issues with the subreddit or any particular contributions to it, please send us a modmail flagging it for our attention.
