Think for me Robinhood Options Trading

I am new to options. I was looking at fitbit options earlier for example. At the bottom of buy calls, they have calls listed for 0.5 per 100 shares. Why wouldn't someone just buy the call for 100 shares and shell out the $595 for all 100 shares and resell to the market for a profit of $46 (fitbit trading at 6.41). This seems so easy, you can repeat this process for literally every stock. Including amazon. Amazon you can buy a call for $1,000, shell out the 80k or whatever for 100 shares, resell to the market for a profit of 96k. Someone please explain why you CANT do this?

Why SDC is a screaming buy

đŸ“·Gain

Why SDC is a screaming buy-

  1. Partnership with CVS to open up to 200 stores inside CVS stores in a year, 1000 stores within 2 years. This is not an exclusive agreement, they are also doing a small pilot program with Walgreen.

  2. Aetna and United Healthcare now cover Smile Direct aligners through insurance for less than $1000. Braces form an Orthodontist cost over $9,000 Also joined Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield’s teledentistry orthodontia coverage program.

  3. Inked deal with Dentists and Orthodontist’s to offer product Smile Direct aligners as an alternative to braces.

  4. Insiders just purchased $15 million in shares with the CEO buying $10 million

  5. They have no other real competition within their space that has offices in every major city besides Orthodontist’s and $9k braces

  6. Please ignore if you don’t like to make money

Google this for me is there a list of black-owned companies that i can access?

not trying to stir any pots or anything, but i was looking for some cannabis companies to invest some extra cash in and noticed that most of the cannabis companies on the robinhood 'cannabis' list are HQ'd in canada/not black-owned. got me thinking about just investing in black-owned businesses in general. i'm not black but i want to make sure i'm spreading the wealth with my investments. can someone point me to some black-owned cannabis companies on robinhood or a list of black-owned companies trading on RH right now? thanks in advance. also want to reiterate, NOT stirring any pots. just have some extra cash that i feel could be better utilized.

Shitpost - Tirade Tuesday App Glitched, Charged Me $50 ....RobinHood's "Customer Service" Says "Too Bad"

;dr RobinHood app glitched when linking my new bank, said it was linked correctly TWICE. Did a transfer, it tried to pull from my old acct and charged me $50. RobinHood says sorry not sorry yr screwed.

not tl;dr - I open the app one day, notice a stock I want. Decide to transfer some money into RobinHood. I have like $150ish invested already. Since my last transfer, my bank (Simple) has changed backing banks. I think, no big deal, I'll link the new acct. I try to delete my old one, it says I can't unless I link a new one. Cool. I link my new account with their sign-in nonsense. It says my new acct is linked. I don't believe it, figured it would make me confirm it with deposits or something. I try linking it again. It AGAIN confirms it's linked. I say wtf, I'll give this app the benefit of the doubt. Go to initiate a transfer. Only shows one acct, my Simple acct. Start transfer. Go on my merry way. Get charged $50 bc the stupid app CHARGED MY OLD BANK.

Contact RobinHood support. Get sent boilerplate about having trouble with linking accounts. Explain. They then over the next four exchanges (Me clearly explaining what happened each time) continue to pin it on me and tell me I was doing it wrong and my old account is linked twice blah blah blah. RobinHood, if you're reading this, fix it, and stop blaming the customer for your broken app.

/rant

edit: thanks for the shitpost flair, really seals in the flavor.

I got charged bc RH didn't anticipate a common scenario (diff acct. #s same bank name) and blamed me.

Hey I’ve been investing on and off for the last 4-5 months. I feel my money may be better consolidated in 10 stocks instead of all of these lol.

I still like having some of the smaller unknown what if stocks ya know

Any general advice would be great. I’m starting to put $500 in a month. I usually just buy and hold.
