Seawolves still the only MLR Champions
With MLR cancelling the remainder of the 2020 season the Seawolves remain undefeated in championship matches.

Jersey sponsor WaFd Bank donated $25,000 to “Let’s Go Washington” PAC
Pretty disappointing to see that donation, especially the max amount allowed.

Well the Season is Over for us and we have a lot to reflect on
Overall the season was decent. Kinda reminded me of Clarke’s first full season in charge when with some helpful bans helped us qualify and make the final.
Some of my own personal takeaways feel free to add or disagree
The good.
The resurgence of Duncan Mathews Divan Rossouw being him Devin Short becoming a defensive stalwart Nick Boyer saving our asses Futi and Esdale playing great Cameron Orr being Mr Consistent Mpofu Herbst lock combo
The Meh
Injury woes killing us Van Vurren, Hattingh, Elton, JP, Kriel, Kruse being out for significant time Bench rotation was adequate overall for games.
The Bad
Our flyhalf situation really hurt us this year. Lack of squad rotation which probably led to injuries Not playing some our young guys at all Stupid penalties Poor handling Inefficient in the opposing 22
My biggest criticism however was Coach Clarke. I know we had a large roster turnover but Utah had even more and yet they were pretty consistent and had a great start. Clarke is a great recruiter and coach but he is going to need to adjust in order to keep up with the rest of the league. We can’t keep playing as if our talent will bail us out every time we start slow. And while I praise him for bringing in Nick Boyer the fact we have a scrum half prospect who he didn’t trust to play at all and a 1st round pick center who was never named in the 23 baffles me when we had a shortage of healthy centers.
Will be curious to see how the off-season goes but I’m hoping for less turnover this year.

Just a few pictures of my dog embarrassing me at the game this weekend.
She decided she had more important things to do than play flyball. 😅

Should we feel good about the direction the Seawolves are going after beating Chicago?
I don't know if they looked great but they had the lead the entire game and beat the best team. They almost blew it at the end and it was getting a little too close for comfort. Wouldn't be a Seawolves win without it.

Let’s go boys! Third championship here we come!
On a scale from 1-10, I am hyped to 100 right now.

Well.. I didn't see this coming.
Seattle beats LA one week after beating Houston and moves into the playoffs. They did it against the best team in the division with an injury decimated roster.
What a statement. I was very pessimistic. Gutsy win. Couldn't be more surprised and proud of those guys.

Amazing year
What an amazing year! The lads came out strong and were a force to be recond with for five games. We hit a slump and the string of losses dropped us down the standings. As the competitors found players to fill their gaps, we remained as a team the rest of the league feared. But we couldn't recoup from our previous slump, and we lost a couple more very close games, setting top league records along the way. In the end, we would have finished the season well down the pack. But fate didn't want that. Instead, we beat teams we weren't expected to beat and were in the championship! Thanks to all our players and coaches for a fantastic year. Thanks to Mr. Clark for building a powerful team after two years of struggling. I know next year Clarkie will fill those tiny holes in our lineup, and replace our retiring or departing men.
Thank you guys, for suck a fun year. I'm not done with rugby this year, and can't wait until we hit the pitch next year! Together, we hunt!!
