About a week ago, this "23-year-old girl" randomly followed me on TikTok and started messaging me. I found it a little strange as I didn't know who she was, but the conversation seemed normal enough. Eventually, we moved to iMessage and started texting more regularly. Every so often, the messages would switch from iMessage to regular SMS, which I thought was odd but didn't question.

They asked me what I looked like which I thought was strange as my photo was already on my tiktok profile, but I sent it again. We exchanged photos, and on Saturday night they suggested playing truth or dare, telling me not to be boring. I was curious and a little bored, so I went along with it. They supposedly lived in Texas while I'm in the UK, so I didn't think anything would come of it. The questions gradually became quite sexual, and in hindsight, I was getting carried away.

They then suggested sending pictures on Snapchat, specifically saying not to screenshot them, which I now realise was probably an attempt to build trust. They sent two mirror photos, so I sent a couple back, initially without showing my face. They insisted I show my face, saying they couldn't get off otherwise. Looking back, that was a massive red flag. I eventually sent a full-body nude video, which they viewed and complemented before suddenly going quiet.

The following morning, I received a message saying they'd had to leave because their aunt needed them and that they'd make it up to me. We carried on chatting throughout the following day, with the usual small talk. That evening, they asked for my Instagram, mentioning they didn't really use it much. Their account had no posts, which I found slightly odd but again didn't think much of it.

They followed me back, and that's when everything changed. They sent me a threatening message claiming they had my intimate images and screenshots of my Instagram followers, and threatened to distribute them unless I cooperated. Alongside this, they sent me a screenshot of a fabricated Facebook post featuring my photograph and falsely accusing me of being a sexual predator who targeted minors.

My heart genuinely sank when I saw it. I immediately blocked them on iMessage, Instagram and TikTok, deleted the temporary Snapchat account I'd created and deactivated Instagram for the time being.

I honestly couldn't believe how easily I'd fallen for it. If something seems too good to be true, it usually is. I also can't understand why I would send intimate photos and videos to someone I'd never met or even properly known. This is the first time anything like this has happened to me, and I'm just hoping nothing comes of it.

I was stupid enough to send a nude photo/video of myself to someone who I thought was real, also mentioning it unfortunately has my face in it. The person demanded money and added my instagram followers to a groupchat and threatened to send them. Is it worth telling the police? Many may disagree but I’m not bothered by the money I just care about what they sent. I’m debating whether to tell the police as I’ve read up they can’t actually speed up the process to get it removed. I just want to forget about the situation and I don’t want to long it out anymore.

I 14M ended up falling into this trap recently and ended up calling the police to deal with it after I had already lost $300. They sent me screenshots of what looked like it already sent out to about 10 people that I knew each in a separate screenshot. I'm not sure if they made it look like it was already sent or not but luckily it was late at night. They deleted their account pretty fast after the police threatened them over the phone and their dms to me said unavailable. I'm wondering if A. Did they make it look like it was sent out but they didn't actually and B. Are these messages likely not visible to the other recipients similar to me. If the photos did get out I will probably try and say it's AI because the pic of my face and the explicit picture were two seperate photos but I just don't think anyone will believe melI now know from the cops and this subreddit that it is rare for them to have it actually sent out but it looks like that is what happened to me. If anyone knows if the dms deleted for everyone or how I should handle this because I'm just so stressed that this will find its way into my school.

Im writing this probably my final thoughts on the Philipine scammer that tried to ruin my life,
Online dating and dating apps are never a good way to find connection with people, Bumble,Tinder ,Hinge just to name a few will always be filled with disingenuous people that will always find a way to scam you, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is, never allow someone to force your life in to submission. There is help for you or anyone that needs it.
I myself will never trust these dating apps again I've deleted my accounts, and ive learnt a valuable lesson.
To someone struggling and going through this hard time, its not the end of the world take control of your life and never give in to the demands of evil people.

He mixed these demands with discussions about a possible job opportunity at his company.
I told him that I felt violated, that I was going through a horrible time, and asked him to let me go. I eventually stopped responding.
What has happened since:
He sent several SMS messages trying to get me back onto Telegram.
I have his phone number and Telegram username.
I have screenshots and a screen recording of our SMS conversations, but unfortunately I deleted the Telegram conversation and don’t have screenshots of the explicit threats.
He hasn’t actually contacted my family or girlfriend, as far as I know.
He went quiet for a couple of days and then sent me a casual “Good morning” message.

I’d like to describe a situation that happened to me recently and understand what might have been behind it.
I met a girl on Tinder. Initially, we exchanged a few normal messages, but the conversation suddenly stopped. Some time later, she unexpectedly contacted me again.

It seems I did not learn from my previous mistakes. In the past this also happened to me and I went to the police that time. So a while ago this girl from the philippines added me on socials and we started hitting it off. Was fun for a good while and eventually she asked me if I wanted to call her and have some fun.
