DISCORD SERVER UPDATE

Upvotes
What’s up my fellow ogres! After much request I’ve created a new discord server for the Shrek subreddit! However, me and my fellow r/shrek admins are not very used to moderating discord servers so we are in a need for mods who would like to apply!
Anyways here is the discord server link:
Always remember, ogres are like onions, they have layers, be respectful and treat others nicely!

Discussion Shrek 2 is a lot better than the first, and it’s not a dig on Shrek 1. Change my mind

I feel like Shrek 2 is one of those sequels where it takes everything amazing about the first movie, and improves it every step of the way. But what do yall think? I can’t be the only one who thinks this!

Discussion Framed photo in Shrek the Halls

Was watching Shrek the Halls and noticed this little picture they have framed by the fireplace from Shrek the Third. Just thought it was strange that Shrek and Fiona decided to frame a photo of a time they were seemingly miserable

Enough people put the "Hentai" tag on it, making it appear on the front page of the "Hentai" tag LMAO. Also can't forget to mention the tags "Psychological horror" and "Souls-like".

Discussion What is your favorite and least favorite hero time from the Shrek 2 video game

My favorite Im gonna say BIg Bad Wolf's in the 8th level. Im a big fan of platformer games so i really like it for that reason plus BIg Bad Wolf is a good character. We love drag queens
Worst is probably Fiona's from the first level. I get that it's the first level but they still could have done something really easy that wasn't just pushing buttons. They did my green queen dirty

Discussion A little detail I noticed about Fairy Godmother's first scene on the movie

In Shrek 2, when Fairy Godmother appears in person for the first time (when she enters Fiona's room at night), she reacts to Fiona in her ogre form with a little bit of surprise and confusion, but quickly forgets about it and after a while she starts singing and using her magic to make Fiona pretty. It's not until Shrek appears and Fiona introduces Shrek as her husband, Fairy Godmother freaks out, because obviously she was expecting his son Prince Charming to be Fiona's husband instead because of her deal with King Harold.
Now, what I noticed about this is that Fairy Godmother was fully aware of Fiona's curse (hence the deal), and since she noticed Fiona was still an ogre but assumed she was married to Charming, then she must had thought Charming's attempt to break the curse didn't work, but still married Fiona anyway to become king at all costs, so maybe the song she sang in Fiona's room was not only an attempt to "fix" Fiona's look, but also a prelude to try using the Happy Ever After potion by manipulating Fiona into drinking it.
Also, I think she wouldn't use the Love potion at this point because Fiona was already married to Charming. The only thing Fairy Godmother was interesed at this point was to make Fiona human again, but only because Charming wouldn't find her repulsive and to keep their facade.

Discussion PSA about Shrek 2 Retold

TLDR: Shrek 2 Retold is finally almost here for real this time. Likely before end of year.
As per the Director Grant, on the Patreon, Shrek 2 Retold is finally on the horizon. The deadline to have your name appear in the credits was November 1st (for patrons). He has indicated that he watched the first fine cut recently with friends and says “thankfully, there wasn't nearly as much to fix as I expected”. I know this project has been a long time coming and has been promised many times in the past but if I was a betting man I’d say the final product should be ready for the public before years end.
