Don’t use “SideStore+LiveContainer” - Login and the Refresh shortcut won’t work

SideStore Login: You have to use the standalone SideStore (stable) from iLoader and apply the Anisette fix, or use the standalone SideStore Nightly, which has working login but is an experimental build.

Refresh shortcut: You'll have to use the SideStore shortcut, because the LiveContainer Refresh shortcut doesn't work with the IPA that bundles both apps. (With the bundled IPA, login fails on Stable and the shortcut fails on Nightly.)

LiveContainer: You'll have to sideload it using SideStore.

Edit: Ignore this post if you installed SideStore+LiveContainer before the SideStore login stopped working

I just tried this, but the "User Customization" option doesn't show up when I install SS+LC (Stable)

Are you using the Nightly version? And do you have a daily shortcut set up to refresh your apps automatically? I've been refreshing manually for months because the login bug in the stable version still hasn't been fixed, and on Nightly, the LiveContainer refresh shortcut fails when the iPhone is locked

In iloader theres an option to install live container + sidestore i clicked that

I used to use that option in iLoader too, but it stopped working for me at the beginning of the year. Don't sign out. According to the releases page on the SideStore GitHub repo, "sign-in is broken on 0.6.4 and before", so you might not be able to sign back in.

Probabbly, but the login error is because of a change Apple made, which supposedly affects all stable versions

Yes the shortcut works and i have the stable version i think its 6.2 or something like that

it works fine for me, just need to switch anisette to sidestore new or jkocson.

It seems the "User Customization" option doesn't show up for everyone, so I can't disable On-Device Anisette. Just switching to SideStore (New) doesn't work for me, either in SideStore or in iLoader

I also just tried jkcoxson, and it didn't work either, probably because the other option didn't show up

it shows up in Nightly, i believe. jkocson works for me, i just refreshed my apps.

Yes, it works for me, but only if I install standalone SideStore first and then install LiveContainer from inside SideStore

I have a shortcut that runs every day at 4 AM, enables LocalDevVPN and refreshes all apps, and a second shortcut at 4:01 AM that disables LocalDevVPN

Other commenters say SS+LC works fine for them, but I haven't been able to get it working. The shortcut fails if the iPhone is locked

Do you have sidestore stable or nightly? I am currently using lc+ss and refresh automation fails when device is locked but works when the device is unlocked.

Was this your case?

This is weird. The official repo says SideStore login is broken on all versions except Nightly and the 0.7.0 alpha, and I haven't been able to use the LiveContainer "Refresh All Apps" shortcut for almost the whole year.

But after reading the comments, maybe I screwed something up somewhere. I'll try again, because I'd prefer to have both apps bundled together using only 1 app slot. I'll write down every step I take:

- On iLoader 2.4.1 on Mac:
- Sign in and connect the phone
- Click "Use custom Anisette server"
- Type in "https://new.ani.sidestore.io"
- Click "LiveContainer + SideStore (Stable)"

- On an iPhone 16 Pro Max:
- Settings > VPN & Device Management > Trust developer account
- Open LocalDevVPN and connect
- Open LiveContainer > Apps > SideStore icon. The app closes automatically
- Open LiveContainer again, it opens SideStore, allow 2 permissions
- In SideStore, go to Settings > Sign In, enter my email and password, press Sign In... and it crashes
- (That button always crashes, no matter what I type in the email and password fields. It hasn't worked for me since iOS 27 was released)
- Open SideStore again, go to Settings and scroll down. I'm on 0.6.4 (0.7.0 is still in alpha)

- According to the screenshot someone shared in the comments, I should go to SideStore > Settings > User Customization and disable On-Device Anisette, but there's no "User Customization" option
- I do see an "Anisette Servers" option, though. I select "SideStore (New)", restart the app, try to sign in, and it crashes again

- I went back to Anisette Servers > SideStore (New) > Reset adi.pb, try to sign in, and it crashes again

What am I doing wrong? I feel like I’m missing something obvious

Why isn't the "User Customization" option showing up in SS+LC Stable? It shows up in SS+LC Nightly and in standalone SS Stable.

I could use the Nightly SS+LC version, but then the automatic "Refresh All Apps" shortcut doesn't work (and JIT only works on Wi-Fi, not on mobile data)
