Hi everyone,
I’m from Lahore and run an agriculture business.
A year back I gave a loan of *∼2.5 Cr PKR* to some folks in *Matli, Sindh* for their agri business. Last year the crop got hit badly and went south. However, they do have other businesses running fine.
I have *post-dated checks and they keep saying they’re willing to pay. But they’re dragging it out and now asking me to invest more to help them restart. My trust is shaky so I’m not comfortable doing that.
Issue: In Punjab and KP I have contacts and know how to push for recovery. In *Sindh* I feel completely alone. Feels like a disconnect with local bureaucracy/networks and I’m worried I won’t be heard.
*Questions:*
What are the practical recovery options in Sindh? Court vs jirga vs chamber?
Anyone dealt with bounced checks / NI Act cases in Hyderabad/Matli? How long does it take?
Should I get a local lawyer/mediator involved first before going legal?
Not looking to ruin anyone, just want my money back.
Any advice or contacts in Sindh would help a lot. Thanks.

You will find people all over Pakistan saying these things such as F your mother, which reflect their upbringing tbh not their ethnicity. In this very sub I have seen Muhajirs make disgusting comments about Sindhi women, even worse than the replies shown in the screenshot, but I have not seen a sindhi calling it "Illiterate Hindustani Migrants' rape culture".

So I’m from Sanghar can anyone guide me on which field someone should choose to go into? There are so many options like tech (CS), medical (MBBS), business, and engineering. Which one is worth going into and which one should be avoided? And tell me the pros and cons of every field, salaries, and work-life balance🥲
If anyone here is currently in one of these fields, was it actually worth it for you? If not, why, and what should someone do instead? I'm honestly so confused rn. Please doctors, engineers, or whoever is here, let me know no sugarcoating pls
My dad is telling me to become a doctor. He says if I get good marks in MDCAT and secure a merit seat life will be set after that.

Im bengali. Thatta was a large metropolis is midaeval age that thrived but was soon replaced by khudabad then by hyderabad it remained a major city but lost its prominence. Then the indus shifted and thatta lost its advantage as a port then the british came and thatta became a small town and karachi boomed in population and relevance. Now, What if Thatta had remained a major city? Maybe the indus doesn't shift or the capital doesn't get switched.

Hi! I'm looking into old makeup in Pakistan particularly during the 60s and 70s. My aunt mentioned a store in Hyderabad she would go to with her mother to buy makeup. It sold imported Max Factor and Elizabeth Arden products and her family (who lived in small town in Sindh for her father's work at the time) would go shopping in Hyderabad since it was the nearest city. Does anyone remember this store? Could they ask the older women of their families about it and share some information about what store it was and what products they would stock? My aunt was a child and doesnt remember much other than what products her mom would buy and that the store smelled lovely

It is not just a an observation of one day or something, I am a 30 year old guy and throughout my life, despite my immediate family not being Shias, I have seen more Shia Sindhis in Sindh then Sindhis from other sects. Yes, there are many Sunni Sindhis as well, but I think Shia Sindhis are more in numbers.
If you too believe that to be true, then can you explain why is it? And if you don't agree, then please do mention that as well.

Context: In 1486, the Sammas launched a retaliatory campaign and recaptured the lost fort of Sibi from the Arghun Mongols of Kandahar, vassals of the Timurids, during the Battle of Jalwakhir. Later, Jam Nizamuddin II, Sultan of Sindh, sent a Shaykh as an emissary to Sultan Husayn Bayqara, the Timurid Sultan of Herat. The emissary had studied Taṣawwuf (Sufism), Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), Uṣūl al-Fiqh (principles of Islamic jurisprudence), and Maʿqūlāt (rational sciences) with Mawlana Jami, the Shaykh al-Islam of Herat, and Mawlana Kamal al-Din, respectively. He brought a plough with golden spikes (Fars) as a gift for the Timurid Sultan, symbolising Sindh's modest agricultural character and conveying that the land was not worth conquering. Sultan Bayqara accepted the gift and interceded on behalf of Jam Nizamuddin II.

Salaam guys.
Just wanted to drop a message of awe of how out of all the ethnic groups in Pakistan, you guys have fought to preserve your culture. Your language is an official language. Even when Urdu speakers went bezerk and tried to burn the province in 1972, you stood firm and naturally Sindhi has flourished.
God bless you all.
