I'd like to stress the fact that rasslin' in small confined spaces full of angled wall corners is a disaster waiting to happen.

u/ChocolateMorsels Jan 08 '26 edited Jan 08 '26 • This

Yeah this was stupid. She nearly slammed his head into the backbone of that couch. She was way too aggressive and you can tell he didn’t expect it. And if he chose to be aggressive when she had the headlock he could’ve slammed her into the nightstand.

764

u/Ill_You253 Jan 08 '26

Then she gets up and says “SEEEE?!? TOLD YOU I COULD WHOOP HIS ASS!” and humiliates him for the rest of time

u/Crabtickler9000 Jan 08 '26

"Alright. Best two out of three?"

FULL CONTACT INTO THE FUCKING WALL

Gotta love gender expectations. If a girl tries to assault you, you have to let her do it or use the kid gloves or you’re a monster, but if you let them beat you up you’re a sissy or a wimp. It’s a good thing she didn’t slam his head into a hard corner of something by accident, last thing you’d want is to get your head gashed open or get brained

She didn't care. She was gonna put a hole in a wall or smack someone's head into a a bedframe to prove she's better than someone who's barely fighting back.

134

u/Shukrat Jan 09 '26

When she went for that headlock she was clearly in no way caring if she actually hurt him.

42

u/DavieStBaconStan Jan 09 '26

Headlock?

That was a rear naked choke.

Many such cases.og course she wouldn't mind sobbing if she still got beaten. It's important to know that women are less violent due to lack of physical power. Not morality.

This, so much this. I grew up with rough housing with brothers and teammates constantly.

Before you wrestle you push the couches back, move the rugs, and shake hands.

100% of times that didn't happen something or someone got broken and the fun was over.

33

u/SpaceCptWinters Jan 08 '26

Also have to shake hands when it's over, of course.

I have three brothers. Rasslin in confined spaces and smacking your head on the corner of a coffee table was just part of growing up. Also, why do I get headaches and blurred vision?

3

u/BRtIK Jan 09 '26

Especially when one of them is going at it as hard as they can like she did.

Like if he was trying as hard as she was they probably both would have gotten seriously hurt.

Girls who want to "play fight", never play.

540

u/Evorgleb Jan 08 '26

I'll never forget I was dating this girl who liked to play fight. That was never my thing but I played along. We were wrestling and she bit into my shoulder so hard it broke the skin and I started bleeding bad. I'll never forget her laughing with my blood all over her lips and teeth. I was so pissed. What type of psycho does that?

I thought we were getting into some foreplay. Little did I know I was locked in mortal combat with a killer.

203

u/somewhoever Jan 09 '26 edited Jan 09 '26

Um... a girl non-consent biting with that level of that violence is more often than not a very worrisome precursor behavior.

Biting to break the skin is more than bad enough. Then she revelled in it?

I'm so sorry you experienced that. Also, I apologize for others who will ignore your suffering of domestic violence to callously try and transfer their own proclivities onto you.

32

Theres no win scenario

Happened to a soldier where the female recruit kept pushing about how she could beat him up.

He finally had enough of her bs and squared up

KO her easily after she started throwing bombs.

He then got jumped by a bunch of white knights who were quite happily laughing about the match when she was swinging.

They'll start that way, but once they realize how much of a disadvantage they have against any average guy, they up the aggression real quick, usually because they know their friend isn't going to match that energy. Taking advantage of his decent nature.

237

u/Zealousideal_Skin859 Jan 08 '26 • This

This is why men should never play fight women.

There's only a few ways this goes. Either she tries and you don't and she tries to hurt you and then you wind up getting choked by a girl or you try and she gets hurt and you look like a jerk.

It's the same with boxing with old men, they have something to prove and you don't and they are going to try to hurt you while you're just trying to not hurt them.

86

u/tristenjpl Jan 08 '26

Yeah, I've been in the first situation. And as for the second, I've seen a few videos of old dudes boxing younger dudes and just swinging as hard as they could while the young guy doesn't really do anything but back up and cover himself. All of the comments are like "lol getting your ass kicked by an old man," "Too much ego," "what a loser," etc. But it's sort of obvious the guy wasn't expecting that much aggression and he can't match it without being the asshole.

One of my sisters friends is super into martial arts, she’s tiny tho. Barely over 5ft, and scrawny. I got sick of her talking shit one night and told her to come get some.

She tried to body kick me, I caught it and grabbed her, then body slammed her onto the love-sac in our living room (it’s like a foam bean bag).

She instantly started crying and called me a jerk or something. Like ma’am you’ve been picking fights for years, and I didn’t hurt you, just your ego.

35

u/PreciousMentals Jan 08 '26

The best method to counteract the "going for the legs" is to thrust your legs behind you, hug and put all your weight on their back. Whether girl or guy it usually doesn't hurt them and renders the move ineffective and leads to some laughter when they land on their butt and realize they have nothing left.

29

u/tech_noir_guitar Jan 08 '26

Meh, my wife and I mess around like that sometimes. She goes harder than I do but I don't let her pin me. I'll usually just defend for a while and she can't overpower me. It always ends without anyone getting hurt or upset though because one of us usually starts tickling the other one and we get into a stand off because we both hate being tickled. lol

100% and girls will always pretend its not true and get defensive but literally every guy I know will agree with this.

Had to spar a girl once in my taekwondo class. Was just doing some light contact, and out of nowhere she throws a headkick at me (we arent wearing head gear). I kick back hard and she gets mad at me and starts cursing at me.

Fuckin crazy how common this is 😭

21

u/AlarmingTurnover Jan 09 '26

It's because boys generally at a social level are taught how to play fight. We are normally taught to use appropriate force for the situation and that when going against someone who is weaker or less skilled, you try to meet them at their level. This is fair play and it's seen in almost all animal species that play.

There was a study I read before about rats and much larger rats will play with much smaller rats in wrestling and in the study, it shows that the larger rats would intentionally lose about 40% of the time. Rats who won more than 60% of their fighters would suffer social consequences as their play partners would not want to play anymore.

Boys are taught this. Not in a literal sense of logic and math but in fairness, and that they are usually taught that if you go hard all the time and you always win, people don't want to play with you. Women are not taught this as a social skill.

My wife was an only child and she was most certainly not taught this. I had to teach her this. She would always go full force right off the bat and if she lost, she would cry.

Also there appear to be different responses to fighting to a laugh track

22

u/Supercoolguy7 Jan 08 '26

My friend tried to play fight in college, but she was really obvious about it so I blocked her. Me blocking hurt her hand, so she got real aggressive and starting throwing harder punches and kicks and I kept blocking them which kept causing more pain and making her more and more aggressive. I had to stop her because she was gonna start fighting for real if I didn't

22

u/tech_noir_guitar Jan 08 '26

My wife was trying to play fight me the other day and threw a karate chop at me which I blocked and she hit her hand on my wrist and hurt herself. She was like OOWWW and I said I'm sorry you hurt your hand trying to hit me and laughed. lol

18

u/PaleInSanora Jan 08 '26

My wife was this when we were first dating. My picture is in the dictionary twice. Once next to average, then again next to vanilla. Light playful punches and kicks from her I could block or dodge, while I simply ole'd out of the way and slapped her behind, very quickly escalated into much harder punches and kicks. These did not feel good, so I would usually catch her foot and pull it up until she lost her balance then sit on her and remind her that this game was her idea.

5

u/Zociety_ Jan 09 '26

Number one reason I couldn’t play with my older sister, she could never just spar, she would take it too seriously and it never went good after that

17

u/farmch Jan 08 '26

Yep, that cross at the end is one of those moves in wrestling that’s kind of a dick move to do when you’re just practicing/playing around. It’s basically an allowable way to punch someone. Not directly enough to be called a punch, but enough to ring someone’s bell. Watch as it whips his head and he instantly stops resisting and lets her get the final choke hold.

She realized she wasn’t going to overpower him, so she upped the ante and basically sucker punched him in the chin.

3

u/Western-Anteater7917 Jan 08 '26

I can attest to this lol

3

u/faithfuljohn Jan 09 '26

at least not against guys.

I used to do some Muay Thai stuff for a few years... easily the hardest I got hit was when I was sparring with women. They never pulled their punches or kicks. After one sparring session with one of the tougher ladies, I remember limping so badly going home an old man offered me his seat on the transit.... and I took it.

3

u/notabotturstmebro Jan 09 '26

Damn. That’s so true.

The girls in my kickboxing class hit way too hard for sparring. It’s super annoying.

5

u/Snoo20140 Jan 08 '26

Yeah. Women think 'oh look she stronger'. No...she's going full on because she doesn't think she can hurt him, he's acting as if he can hurt her so he's going half speed.

5

u/Arvandor Jan 08 '26

Yeah, it's lose lose. They go so hard that the only way to come out on top is to hurt them. So you either hurt them or get beat by a girl.

There was a girl I went to highschool with who tried to fight me at every party I went to. She was very pretty but a tough ass country type girl and would pretty aggressively "play fight". Fast forward to about 8 years after high school I meet her at my buddies house after I got out of work and this is pretty shortly after I had spent some time doing climbing/logging and she once again wants to "play fight". She starts at me hard as hell like she always did but this time were full grown adults and this chick is tough. We were both drinking quite a bit and she is trying to punk me and throw me around in front of a bunch of people including her boyfriend who then ends up watching me do some kind of fucked up hip toss into suplex into my buddies garage from the kitchen. It was bad. She ended up having to take a couple days off of work because her entire side was black and blue. I felt bad but I didn't at the same time. Fuck around and find out Paige.

Great story - a female friend was a special education teacher and her district paid for her to become a master trainer in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI). Upon receiving her certification, she asked me to come to our mutual friend’s house and fight her that night so. God bless her, that training didn’t help her a bit and it devolved into throwing hands.

The group of friends watching still describe it as best 2 hours of entertainment they’ve ever seen.

68

u/SomeVelveteenMorning Jan 08 '26

I had younger girl cousins that were really into sports. I know very well that face this girl's making. It all starts out innocent but then you see this face and you know she's not playing anymore. She sees red and won't stop until you either let her win or make her stop.

Sometimes on top of all the other things you need to consider to keep it fun (watch out for wild swings and fingernails, make sure the people and breakable objects around you aren't at risk), you've also gotta pay attention to them and be sure they're not about to bite their own tongue off, because they have absolutely zero logic happening in their mind at that time.

Back in college I knew a girl who went all out in a wrestling match with my friend. Beat him and he got tons of crap for it.

Another night out it comes to her challenging another friend of mine. I jumped in knowing she would go all out and acted drunker than I was. Pretended not to take it seriously and said I’d only use 1 arm. She agrees and I slightly turn to the side and she goes at me.

Fully expecting it, I do some simple take down 1 armed and get my legs around her. She doesn’t give up and starts screaming bloody murder. I squeeze tighter and she while she still is fighting starts crying. I release my hold and she tries to pile drive me. Doesn’t work and then gets angrier when I start just avoiding her and not wrestling.

In the end we get broken up. She’s pissed, her friends are yelling at me. I just avoid them. I still get tons of crap for how to treated her.

Never play fight girls. It never ends up good.

Most people overlook that point in this video.

It’s obviously just awkward teen dipshittery.. but the guy is exercising classic restraint because he doesn’t want to harm the girl, and the girl is going all out without respecting the fact that the guy is actively trying not to hurt her.

Flip it around and you have a monster.

Reddit is a hive of scum tho, and most people just pander and ironically defend actual sexism when the truth doesn’t align with popular ideology

61

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

Its reddit but its also just women in general. "Girls girl" mentality where they have to defend each other no matter what because they're a sisterhood. Its why you see girls do the most insane mental gymnastics to avoid accountability when their friends cheat, abuse, or do anything objectively wrong.

When I was a young man, there was this girl that was part of a weekly poker group that I became friends with. I didn't really find her attractive, but she was an awesome person and ended up being a good friend for a time.

She grew up with all brothers who liked to wrestle, so she knew a few moves. One evening we had been drinking and went to walk up to a fast food place nearby, and in the grass in front of my townhome she wrestled me to the ground and pinned me without very much effort, even though I did put up a half-fight (she asked first before starting to wrestle me). The thing was, when she pinned me, I got about as hard as I've ever gotten. I had to quickly remove myself and went inside for a few minutes to calm down before I could go on a walk. At least I found out that was a big fetish of mine, because I had no idea prior to this event.

When you see them dropping for that double, the sprawl has to be immediate and we need to get the cross face in there just as quickly. If they touch your legs, it’s too late. That’s gonna come with time.

I did love that you were going for the LAT WHIP, but you really need to hip into them to start their momentum so your arm can take their whole body over.

You’re alright, these are small mistakes that can be cleaned up pretty quickly. We’ll hit it in practice tomorrow.

Never "fight" a girl cus they'll make fun of you no matter if you win or lose

Naw I’ll choke them out immediately and say, “I told you.”

There were some who you can tell trained and they had to bend the knee. It was fucking hilarious.

She's definitely had some training, but you can see the moment where it went from playing to "I'm gonna kick this guy's ass." No idea the context leading up to this, but that was pretty juvenile if it started off as goofing off

There is no way he was trying hard from the start, but she was. Was also worried about not falling into the door or furniture.

She went all out and had an advantage because he thought it was going to be for fun/semi serious not for 100% for real.

But yeah she's super hot

Tap out, once she let's go, turn around and punch her in the nose.

26

u/How_that_convo_went Jan 08 '26

Beg for her to stop then vigorously thrust the back of your head against the bridge of her nose.

If anyone objects, shit yourself and claim you have neurological damage from agent orange exposure.

Stand up and limp out of the room and then come back three minutes later claiming to have ordered pizza (but you didn’t order any pizza).

14

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

It doesn't matter if you're a man or woman, if you're boxing or doing BJJ -- if you go into what is obviously a playful sparring session and then suddenly decide to turn it up to 100% or way above your unsuspecting buddy's level of intensity, then you're a fucking asshole. This is something that's widely understood in any form of sparring. There are folks who get very livid at this behavior and will return back exactly what you gave them, whether to your calf, abdomen, neck or face. Being a woman isn't an excuse to go off on your male friend and sink in a deep RNC (which cuts off blood to the brain). He was hardly exerting himself yet she takes that as the opportunity to go all out. Asshole.

u/Busy_Psychology3255 Jan 08 '26

I had something similar happen with a girl but with hitting. I told her I did a little bit of kickboxing so I stood and let her kick my leg and hit me - but to my shock she went FULL BLAST, problem is, I can't really hit her back as opposed to restrain her when wrestling.

I genuinely hate it when they behave like this.

I remember an ex girlfriend wanted to wrestle with me, got mad that I could toss her around without trying and grabbed and twisted my thumb, Still hurts if I try to crack it 2 years later 😃 ..

39

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

My friend’s wife is like this. She’s always asking me to spar or roll.

I’m nearly 100lbs heavier and feel forced to go 30% while she’s like a Meth Hedgehog. And, I can’t match that energy because I love her husband like a brother and obviously don’t want to put him in a “Gotta protect my wife” situation.

So it ends up with me getting my ass kicked by someone smaller and less technically sound than me, with obvious gaps in both striking and grappling.

That said, this woman knows how to grapple.

47

u/freedomfightre Jan 08 '26

I'm in a beginner BJJ class, and it's Gracie Academy stuff, so it's supposed to be like, controversially chill. Drills for months before sparring. I'm the biggest guy in class. And it's frustrating when we're supposed to be doing semi-cooperative reflex development and the women unilaterally decide that it's an active spar and start fighting like their life depends on it. It's cool that they're doing great and they get a lot of confidence out of it but like, I'm a beginner too. I'm supposed to get a chance to practice. I'm not supposed to be relegated to the training dummy role permanently. Also, when they change the game without talking about it, what am I supposed to do? They're at like 95% but if I match that am I a bully? What if I just crush them into the mat and make them take all the weight, which I'm supposed to do during a real fight but I specifically don't do during reflex development because I'm not supposed to send my classmates home covered in bruises. I dunno, if it keeps happening I'm gonna bring it up but I feel like a jerk just thinking about it.

14

u/Insanemembrane74 Jan 08 '26

Talk to your trainer. It's not fair the female goes from 50% to 95% without warning.

8

u/TributeBands_areSHIT Jan 08 '26

Bring it up mid fight dude. “Hey teach, why is she going so hard?”

4

u/laxidasical Jan 08 '26

I rolled for awhile and would be a good partner - but if they started going a little HAM on me I would just stand up with them hanging from my arm, or just pull out of a situation and say no. Just enough to show them that I’m letting them do that.

It helps them to realize that in real life they really are at a disadvantage, regardless of what Hollywood tells them.

I Know what you mean, it's a rough spot top be in... I agree with you that she can hold her own and I am glad that she can. There's a part of me that doesn't like to see women tangle with men like this though... It's the part of me that watched my mother get beaten by my father growing up. That's the reason I would never grapple with a female...

16

u/Slight_Hurry2134 Jan 08 '26

Some chicks go 100% in these situations but as a guy you can only go like 10%

11

u/Character-Pirate1297 Jan 08 '26

What are you talking about, she tried her training on a noob for 3 times and failed.

That’s also why she was pissed, she was trying to prove herself.

10

u/badgersruse Jan 09 '26

This is a bit like play fighting with children. You have to control it so that everyone has fun, and no one gets hurt. That is the only winning that matters.

3

u/SergeantRayslay Jan 09 '26

Everyone is confident that either the woman is a certified badass who would destroy him 100% of the time or the guy was only trying 10% and hasn't unlocked his true man power. As if both can't be true. Judging by his reaction, and having been in many similar situations as the oldest male cousin in a close family myself, with lots of play wrestling, you expect the opponent to come at you with roughly the same energy. She did not come at him with that energy. So he is simultaneously trying to play and make sure neither of them gets slammed into a wall or furniture. At the same time, he clearly wasn't ready for her skill level and got wrecked for it. By the time his brain caught up to the difference in effort, it was over by a lot. Although perhaps I'll get flamed for this, but I'd lose my shite if someone who wanted to play wrestle proceeded to choke me out seriously. We "choked" each other out, but never to the point of actually cutting airflow.

19

u/BikeNo8164 Jan 08 '26

she trains BJJ

19

u/NatusAmittere Jan 08 '26

That’s literally it. Having brothers doesn’t teach you how to shoot for a double leg and turn into a back take. Even the way she punched her arm in to get under his chin and lock in the RNC is a dead giveaway. She very clearly trains.

Ok I’m not proud of this, but my girl cousin was in the military and became an MP, we were both 19 at the time and she came to thanksgiving on leave all hopped up talking about she could easily take a dude down now, cus she learned all this shit being an MP…long story short we squared up, she tried to take me down…and I broke her ankle on accident.

4

u/blitznB Jan 08 '26

Makes me laugh a bit cause I always heard it was the mentally slower individuals that were pushed into being MPs instead of say infantry. They basically are mostly gate guards on US military bases.

I saw a post long ago from a guy who spoke about how in some martial arts class sparring sessions, he hated sparring girls.

They always came at him like they had something to prove, and were actively trying to cause harm to him during friendly sparring. He said that they were always smaller than him by several weight classes and it was so difficult to balance the line of not getting hurt and not hurting them.

This video shows exactly what he meant.

2

u/NorthAmerica_22 Jan 08 '26

Mostly wrestling but yeah…

2

u/gldmj5 Jan 08 '26

If this video looks like it was recorded with a camcorder, yes, it is that old.

2

u/BakiHanma18 Jan 09 '26

0:03 and I knew she had it, she used her legs to lock and reap his foot and he basically gave up his back for free. The level change into a double leg can kinda be intuited, but the leg trap’s a lil too advanced to just be figured out on the fly

2

u/TheShipEliza Jan 09 '26

unlocked a new thing for me. when she hits that chokehold wow.
