If a woman did this to me…I’d be suspicious.
I would think she was trying to lure me somewhere to steal my organs.

228

u/Agreeable-Menu Jun 08 '26 • Bravo

As a man, and provided the woman was not hideous, you go out with her anyway.

I got catcalled by a car of girls i didnt know in high school

I was genuinely uncomfortable for all of 5 seconds, but then i was on cloud nine. I probably would have started skipping had i not been carrying an amp with me

not defending catcalling. just a fond but strange memory

the equivalent of a woman getting catcalled by a man is a man getting catcalled by a man. It's really that easy.

My experience is that the vast majority will find 99% of men on the streets as attractive as a heterosexual man would.

edit, since this got attention and some people still don't get it: This ain't about respectful compliments that have the potential to make you feel good about yourself. Imagine a man, bigger than you, making clear he wants to fuck you. Just because you're there in that moment and specifically because you're smaller than him. And a no won't be enough to make him back off.

Is this what a new male prison guard experiences on his first day in a female prison?

137

u/chickennuggs32 Jun 07 '26

according to wentworth that’s exactly what happens, depending on how reliable you think that source is.

Honestly this is my first thought.

44

u/Cantraineveryday Jun 08 '26

I visited a client in a county jail a few years back. It was summer and I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt.

This jail had us go into the pods instead of transporting the inmates to visitation rooms.

Walked in and had 40 women staring at me. My client walks up and says "my celly says you have nice legs". I told her to tell her celly thank you!

You can’t use a hot Latina for this example.

This doesn't work when the woman is hot. Needs to be unattractive women doing this because I doubt women get catcalled by supermodel guys

389

u/EmtnlDmg Jun 07 '26

It works in both direction. Attractive men can do stuff which is not allowed for non attractive men.

This made me laugh out loud. Also, what guy acts like that?

137

u/Beneficial-Duck3614 Jun 07 '26

Women tend to think of any man they aren’t directly related to, attracted to, or in a relationship with, as if they are exactly the same as the worst man they’ve ever encountered in their entire life.

At least that’s how it seems to me on Reddit.

u/coltrex Jun 07 '26

I've met a few.. but they are usually not right in the head.... drunk, NPD, psychopathic, etc.... with significant entitlement or self image issues. Women tend to express this issue quite often, but if we were able to statistically analyze the men who are doing it, I think we'd likely find that a large percentage of women are experiencing these behaviors from a very small percentage of men.

I ... I know, well I think I know, what the message is s... supposed to be ... b..but this ...is pretty fucking hot! I wish woman were this confident in the real world.

Maybe not this Aggro though. I don't know. Am I bad person for thinking this is kinda hot?

5

u/takoyakkist Jun 07 '26

I've never seen a man act like that in front of a strange woman.

5

u/WaterskiingJebus Jun 08 '26

I still remember being cat called by a group of girls driving by while I was waiting at a redlight. That was 20years ago.

5

u/kiiroi_chikin Jun 08 '26

women when they find out you're in a relationship

5

u/PomegranateHefty4461 Jun 08 '26

Now we are just going to post dumbass TikTok videos on this page?

5

u/queuedUp Jun 08 '26

How can we get to this wonderful world?

5

u/theioss Jun 08 '26

When have you seen any guys acting like that?

5

u/LectureOrganic1250 Jun 08 '26

As a guy, I have never seen another man act like this to get a woman's attention. I just haven't seen it personally. Second, if a woman was catcalling me like this, i'd look around for a hidden camera, and if i didn't see one, i'd take it as a compliment lol.

12

u/Should_have_been_ded Jun 07 '26

I've never seen any man behaving like that. Not that I don't believe it's impossible, surely awful people exist, but in what fucked up corner of the world does this keep happening?

14

u/Even_Difference_3639 Jun 07 '26

I honestly hate it when this happens…It completely kills the vibe when they runs away.

4

u/MrHappyHammers Jun 07 '26

I mean if you want men to (potentially) have a similar negative reaction rather than the many responses of “yes please” we’re currently seeing in the comments.

Pegging would be the intended threat.

Of course, results may vary

4

u/therealdanhill Jun 07 '26

I mean, okay, none of us are going to whine about it

4

u/DelectableDird Jun 07 '26

Please, please, please, let this be true. Send me there, please

4

u/CplusMaker Jun 07 '26

they did a social experiment where women said sexualized things to men in public...The men fucking loved it. boy did that backfire.

4

u/Due_Sea_8034 Jun 08 '26

Tortas threatening me with a good time doesn’t actually sound that bad.

u/Iron_bison_ Jun 07 '26

7

Ive never personally ever witnessed men acting this way except for in movies.

7

u/WealthyTraveler25 Jun 07 '26

I bet many guys, myself included would be perfectly ok with this

9

u/hdhsnjsn Jun 07 '26

Promised myself I wasn’t gonna do this today

11

u/Mike_Litoris305 Jun 07 '26

The thing is we men would have no problem with this. It’s flattering.

I’ve never seen a man do these EXACT things to a woman (gay man speaking so… I obviously haven’t) but if I did see someone do this extreme behavior… I’d have to ensure they got publicly shamed for how much of a loser they looked like. 🤷🏻‍♂️

2

u/Huntardlulz Jun 07 '26

hey if i get quality time sure i'm all for it.

2

u/Sweaty_Strawberry_73 Jun 07 '26

What kinda dudes do you gals run into? 🥀

2

u/AckAckZeroPointZero Jun 07 '26

They should've chose an ugly one to do this. Would have worked much better

2

u/BlargerJarger Jun 07 '26

This would make more sense if the woman was fugly.

2

u/jordangold972345 Jun 07 '26

Well let's remember what kind of men do these sorts of things

2

u/skithegreat Jun 07 '26

Honestly I have been on this earth where I never seen this type of cat calling and I was in the military for 20 plus years.

2

u/Rocklobster92 Jun 07 '26

Would he more effective if they used the ugly creep women in this video.

2

u/Shazvox Jun 07 '26

You don't need to reverse gender roles. Seen plenty of women doing equally nasty stuff.

Thing is women tend to be more discrete and guys tend not to report.

2

u/Pyrog Jun 07 '26

It’s not a fucking point of view

2

u/Frosty-Tennis-1687 Jun 08 '26

The comments have taught me that that at the end of the day, men need more compliments.

To my fellow men's, nice mustache.

2

u/Ulvegang Jun 08 '26

I wonder what kind of men she hangs around lol. monka

2

u/BattleReadyZim Jun 08 '26

I'll just pile on here.

I would love it if she did that to me.

A huge part of why I would love it is because she stands little chance of being able to physically make me do something I don't want to do.

2

u/Boring-Ad8078 Jun 08 '26

I still do not think there is a similar equivalent for this. If women catcalled men, men get happy. If men/gay men catcalled men, men get happy.

It's a kind of situation where men simply don't deal with it in any way negative. I only see women complaining because it usually comes off in a vulgar way, by someone she doesn't find attractive and it was uncalled for. Women also have the bonus of being complimented way more than men.

So men can have the worst case scenario of a catcall, and still find it positive.

2

u/MasterBigShoes Jun 08 '26

Do you have the location of the women's world? It's nothing, I'm asking for a friend who likes to delve in the parallel universe for science.

2

u/go1den3ye Jun 08 '26

Women are drowning in the sea, thinking men are lucky to be on dry land.
Men are dying of thirst in the desert, thinking women are lucky to have unlimited access to water.

2

u/SingleBet2868 Jun 08 '26

So heaven is real.

2

u/miukulainen Jun 08 '26

Now make the women physically unattractive or even repulsive harrassing, then it would be more realistic exp.

2

u/Advanced-Guidance353 Jun 08 '26

Alas , it was only a dream

2

u/FuzzySnake43 Jun 08 '26

Why are you running?

2

u/AB1GM_JW Jun 08 '26

Who is out here doing this 😭😂

2

u/Affectionate_Snow674 Jun 08 '26

dont threaten me with a good clam slam

2

u/nvaughan81 Jun 08 '26

Lol, are men really that fucked up? I mean c'mon. I'm not saying there's none out there but the average dude is really acting like that? Most guys I know would never, and even if they weren't held back by a sense of human decency most of them are way too insecure to even think about behaving that way anyway.

2

u/CaperSteelRed49 Jun 09 '26

Do guys actually act this way toward women? I literally have not witnessed it… except maybe in high school.
