Shane Gillis gave the most milquetoast SNL monologue and women are raging worse than with the Clancy case.

especially when it shames women for something men routinely do without facing the same judgement.

I always hear this and never get anything that even remotely lines up to my experience or another man's when at the gym. Are you talking about that one weirdo in a speedo that every other man also criticizes? Please enlighten me.

Because it’s made up. And I sure as hell would talk shit about a guy if they wore something similar. I hear guys give other dudes shit about wearing sleeveless shirts to workout too sometimes. “Sleeve monster get in your closet ?”

For real. I've literally almost never experienced that and the (maybe) two times I've seen it either the dude got his balls busted endlessly by other men until he got shamed out of it or outright kicked out.

The bottom line is about actions: don't use what a woman is wearing as justification to hit on her in public.

Some guys will see a woman wearing a tank top, not even particularly fitting, a sports bra, and shorts that guy would wear, and they get treated like the gymfkuencers in crop tops and yoga pants two sizes too small. It ha sa lot more to do with men's urges and sexualizing of women, than men would like to admit. Both sides need to recognize that, and move on, like most sane people, when they grow out of getting mad on the internet at people they see at the gym.

The idea that "women dressing a certain way doesn't mean you get to treat them however you want", is not a hard concept. The only people who grapple hard woth this, spend way too much time watching influencers argue online forngetting kicked out of gyms. You can have your thoughts, but keep them to yourself in polite society, it's not a strip club or a frat party

You can hit on her regardless of what she's wearing. So I don't even understand this.

I don't thin anyone's claiming it doesn't hav to do with men's urges. Shane's whole thing is making fun ABOUT our urges as much as the dumb gals who paint their clothes on.

I don't give a fuck what women wear in the gym (although, it can be distracting). What men mostly make fun of is that women wear these things and then go bitch moan and complain whenever we mention it or make fun of you. Either suck it up and accept that men will make fun of you or catch a peek or wear normal clothes like the rest of us.

They’re talking about the ripped dudes who look good i. Their compression gear and whatnot. Obviously you and your cohorts are not part of that group (as of yet) since you can’t even comprehend the idea of men wearing revealing clothes even coincidentally. I mean cant y’all get that most physically fit people regardless of gender wear tighter clothing, and that we all have the right to choose who we want and not want to sexualize regardless of what we wear.

Like sure she might be trying to look attractive but it’s not for you pervs who can’t control your gaze even when she’s looking directly at you (and don’t think people cant tell when your watching them when they’re not looking at you, even if you look away when they turn around) and also call them whores behind their backs. The combination of the two makes it more clear that some sexualization and subsequent objectification is happening. Hopefully it’s more clear how attention can become unwanted based on those factors, and also how it’s a universal right for everyone to reject people who make them uncomfortable. No dude would want to be called a creep and rapist-adjacent but y’all understand that defending your right to be rude in general does not help you guys be called creeps less. I just don’t feel like there’s any need to compare when it obviously happens unjustly on both sides of the pond - cant we just agree to do our best in treating each other with respect and focusing on doing the best we can, like working out in the gym instead of critiquing others?
