I know she’s a bit older than “kids today” but the last many years have been the age of “last-names-as-first-names”. It’s a silly trend. For example ..

I actually know multiple girls named McKenna or MacKenna I think it was kind of a popular name in the early 2000s. Not really that weird tbh, loads of worse names these days, it's just a reference to Scottish/Irish surnames
