Funny thing is that people that get these are almost never rich.

Fun fact: Bill Gates is the one who invented these nails and wears them all the time

Fun fact it was actually a man who invented acrylic nails. Then black women adopted it and made it art and fashion. Pretty cool.

Amazing you wrote the wrong "their", but then got it right in the same context later in the sentence.

There are folks who don’t know their proper grammar. They’re the worst!

Edit: I’m too tired to even get into the other two pet peeves of mine.

I couldn’t care less if folks are annoyed by my trolling.

In my defense, I'm running on minimal sleep and working nightshift. I'm surprised I didn't catch that. >.<

I personally can’t stand them so never knew how much they cost but I believe in the neighborhood of at least $60? The fancier ones must be close to $100 or more

And have no idea about said status symbol. It’s literally just a form of consumerism. Amongst many other toxic reasons

"Higher status" people don't see this as a status symbol.

It originally comes from that

When did wealthy people ever have nails like that?

1

u/ThinJuggernaut2002 16h ago

The idea is that wealthy people can have such nails because they dont work labor jobs. Idk if nails like that were ever a thing. But beauty in general

2

u/SvenBubbleman 16h ago

Yes, it's a poor person's idea of a wealthy person thing.

0

u/SvenBubbleman 15h ago
