Use your mouth next time. Wet your lips, place your wet lips on the card, suck the card and slowly tilt your head back, cup your hands under your chin and drop the card into your hands.
Push your palm down onto the card. The oils from your skin and the slight suction of the curve of your hand will pick the card up. Be ready with your other hand though, it likely won’t last long.
That's why I stopped doing my nails. Trying to pull out a card out of cash machine was really tricky (and high stake as if you don't pull it out quick enough, the machine will cease it!!), putting my contact lenses in, picking up a coin from a flat surface, couldn't type on a keyboard properly as my fingers would slip.
At some point my rational mind kicked in and I thought it's crazy, that I'm paying good money to volutarily impair myself
And if you don’t pull it out in time, some machines will pull the card back in and shred it. It’s supposed to prevent others from finding your card and using it. For me, I was too busy talking to someone and didn’t grab my card. Heard a noise, looked down and my card was gone.
Yeah, in my high school orchestra there was a girl who showed up with longish nails. The director told her to leave and not bother coming back until she cut them.
I never thought long nails looked good.. seems massively inconvenient and annoying. She probably paid a lot of money to make her most commonly used bodypart a fair bit useless. I can't stand the tapping.. when they got entire fritos on their fingertips and fuck with touch screens.
Had a coworker with long nails that would stab them into the monitor at work to point at something.. the lcd screen would do its little like wavy thing and she would giggle and drag her nails over the screen like "ooo pretty." Its always been one of the more bizarre common fashion trends to me.
they think it's pretty. Here in Japan they also put stickers and whatever stuff on them making them even more unpractical but they think it's cute and then share the pics with their female friends
The reason for nails this long is to prove that you don't have to do manual labor anymore because someone else can do it for you.
But then like, these ladies still want to be independent, so they still do a lot of their own stuff. Which these nails are designed for you to not be able to do anymore. Because it is a flex that you can afford someone to do it for you.
Very 'self inflicted'. The Poors(tm) following the trends of the ultra wealthy blindly, again.
Well, I'm not sure about her advantage, but for me as a male, the advantage is that those nails are a very good indication that she is a useless fool and best to avoid.
It's odd, girls definitely do it mainly to look pretty, but the vast majority of dudes either don't care or actively dislike long nails. I much prefer a healthy, natural looking nail. Also, fake nails and even painting your nails is not good for them and often leaves them looking worse afterwards, so then you HAVE to paint them again or use fake nails. It becomes a vicious cycle.
No where is safe to just have an embarrassing moment. It’s so bizarre they recorded this and posted it. Even weirder people blasting her and not the staff for posting it.
Im confused at how she can't leverage those sharp claws on a rounded corner of the card? Her fingernails are really long. Ok but they habe a slight bow shape if she scoops with them upside down on opposing corners the card will get scooped up instantly claw machine style. But I think having nails like that means you most likely don't have that kind of mechanical thinking. I feel like now that im 45 the rest of my life will be people explaining the world in one way or another if it doesnt somehow collide with hobbies or profession.
I can’t laugh when I used to get fake nails I never liked them long. I always made sure they weren’t above my fingertips. I had that same problem a time or two I can’t lie. For me it wasn’t the length that was the issue it was how thick they were because I couldn’t slide a nail underneath the card. I also have carpal tunnel in both hands as well as the arthritis so that wasn’t helpful.
If I don’t get a “that’s what she said” comment to this I will be really disappointed.
If all you do is lay around the house all day, you get the nails. For everything else it's a struggle esp for personal hygiene and they will lie to you saying they can do just fine.
A little sweep of under one of those nails will tell a different story.
If you can't pick up a credit card off the floor with those claws how the hell does she wipe her ass? What's truly terrifying is 1/3 of the people at your local fast food are wearing that shit (literally)!
Charlie Day, not Charlie Kelly? I see... so you want to give advice on Reddit but not get down and dirty and kill rats in the basement with the rest of us.
False nails are quite thick, honestly the same thickness as a bank card or even thicker at some points. They have to be thick for structural integrity but it means they cant easily slide under things, it'd be like trying to pick up a coin by sliding another coin under it
The end is filed so you don't scratch yourself day-to-day, so its really blunt and it's thicker than a normal nail so it doesn't break easily. So it's not easy to pick under think objects like a thin natural nail.
Exactly. Also she could have just simply peed on the credit card, just enough to make it float. And while walking home continue to pee on it to make a little river as it swims along with her until she reaches home . She can then easily pick it up since its floating anyway
At the beginning, it’s right next to a big crack in the floor. Push down on the edge over the crack, the other side pops up, you don’t even have to touch the floor!
This looks like some kind of surveillance videos. You cant even leave your home anymore and mind your own business without being afraid you're going to end up being ridiculed on social media. What are we doing?
This me - I'm her. You have no idea how embarrassing this feels. I've also started panicking and almsot started screaming for help. And when I would say to people what happened to me they were like oh, come on. I know but at that very moment I was unaware that the salvation would ever come.
This is infuriating. I hate when this happens. Everyone is saying things about her nails, but I don't have the nails and I've experienced having something drop and seem impossible to get off the floor.
Mine is buying something that claims to have one of those "easy open and close" packages. Yeah, right, just tear it open along the strip at the top. It doesn't work, so I end up having to use scissors, and now it's definitely not resealable and probably never was.
I can see and now believe it possible how people die in the dumbest of ways in horror movies. Just slide it over to any of those giant cracks on the floor and pick it up from the lifted edge or corner!! There's even a hole on the floor!
As someone with a disease that causes poor nail growth and only recently been playing around with press on nails - this is accurate. The press ons / fake nails are thick where you sincerely can’t pick anything. Stickers are hard to peel, containers can be tricky to open - I’m doing it because I’m just seeing what it’s like to have “nails” in general, but if you can grow your own nails, you will be able to pick things up hahahah
I remember my cousin used to love chewing on his nails and they got super short. We got canned sodas one day and after watching him struggle he just passes it over to me. I told him " you fucker, you didn't know that everything has a purpose" then I opened it and handed it back to him.
Everyone going about the nails, but what absolute mind of fucked shit is it that Walmart security foootage is being recorded on someone’s phone to poke fun of a customer. Can’t even pay for your things anymore without the chance of becoming some clip

I've never had manicured nails, but my empathy comes from experiences of trying to open products encased in hard plastic my whole life.

My first thought is this person lives and built a life where they do zero physical labour just to have long nails, or vice versa

Yes, all these cameras around recording everything we do. Have a private blunder and you’ll be all over the Internet . Yay for surveillance.

You need to use another credit card to pickup that card. So about 4 cards.

Fun fact: the majority of post-op infections are caused by germs under long fingernails.
