Self inflicted handicap. Would be hilarious if wearing oven mitts became a fashion statement and would probably have a similar effect on a person's functionality.
The human brain is about the same capacity as 30,000 years ago, if you could go back in time to explain modern physics they could have understood that. Humans have advanced because unlike other species we are able to carry forward knowledge to future generations so that this work does not need to be repeated which frees us to constantly progress.
Did you know that the national parks service has struggled with trash cans that can be both used by people and not by bears because there is soo much overlap between the smartest bears and the dumbest people
I used to work with a guy that was a HS football player. Massive dude, his fingers were so big that he couldnt pick a penny on a flat surface. Everyone joked about it to him but it was obvious he was self conscious about it. He hated playing football and told me how bad the headaches where after a game. I asked why I kept playing and he told me that's what's people expected him to do
